Great restaurant right next to the Hyatt at Reston Town Center. Friendly, efficient service. Great food in a bar-type atmosphere with restaurant. IN summer there is outside seating.
I would recommend if the person wanted a quiet low energy dinning experience.
Excellent brunch. Interesting menu and great service.
Grilled ribeye and tavern salad was delicious! Appetizers were just ok. Need more options for sharing.
Terrible food. Wife didnt eat and I left half my food. Very disappointed because the ambiance was great
Great atmosphere, food, and wine! The locally sourced food was delicious and creatively prepared. The service was excellent and the staff very knowledgeable about the menu offerings. The apple dessert was delectable and could be paired with a variety of vine or drink selections. My husband and I will definitely return.
Quietish relaxing location with a farm style menu with finesse. Simple and relaxing which is what I wanted.
Overall, I felt very comfortable and knew it was a place I relax with an associate after work. The service was top notch and the food selection was good.
This was a very nice place to be for dinner on New Year’s Eve. The menu presented delicious options and wide variety of choices. and the service was excellent. Dining here put us in a great mood for the rest of the evening.
The hostess Liv was very accommodating to our changing reservation quantity and late arrivals. Very much appreciated! Food was very good.
All in a great place to eat. Varied and unique menu celebrating the tastes of Virginia. Service was great, and they were happy to accommodate our special requests.
The food was inedible and we sent it back, did not accept another dish. The waiter was helpful and the manager came over to speak with us. The manager was sensible, fair understood, and did not charge for the meal. We tipped the waiter generously as he was aced out of a full meal tip. This is essentially a bar to carry over the clientele of the hotel who do not wish to pay the fares in one of the hotel restaurants. The prices at Tavern 64 are also way out of line. Given the overall experience, the senior management of Tavern 64 and the Hyatt Regency need to do some serious thinking and revamping.
This is about as close as farm to table as you can find in Reston. Most of the menu items are locally sourced, and you can tell. The menu has expanded since our last visit, so we tried some new entrees, including bison short ribs and beef cheeks, which were both excellent. The salads were so fresh and flavorful, and the parsnip puree was outstanding. We really appreciate the selection of gluten free options, including the gluten free bread, and the kitchen's flexibility when it comes to substituting or modifying to accommodate our GF people. It's usually pretty quiet, which I like; but there was a holiday party going on which brought the noise level up a bit this evening. Service is always top notch.
We love Jose!
Such a delicious and healthy menu! I had a health issue that required I avoid certain ingredients and the staff was quite accommodating, which I very much appreciated!
Very nice place but the food choices left some of our guests disappointed. Steak was womderful, kids meals were great, the chicken dish lacked flavor.
Started off bad as they did not have my Open Table reservation; no need the place was a ghost town. Next they seated us at a table that had yet to be cleaned, so we stood there with menus in hand while they cleaned it. Our waiter was personable and friendly. On a scale of 1-10 I'd rate their menu as a 3; I'd rate their food a 2, looked great on the menu, but there obviously was no "chef" in the kitchen. Overdone chicken livers (close to being burned in the deep fryer); pork belly with baked beans dumped on them (what a waste of great pork belly), and Poutine with so much "junk" on top (and the fries were soggy).
Will not return.
The choice is limited (especially if one is not a fan of red meat) with only brunch menu available during weekend lunch time. That being said, whatever we ordered was very tasty and well presented. The service was excellent and overall we had a great time.
I have a nice time as well as my guess, but salmon was a bit overcooked other than that all good.
One of the best meals we have had since moving to NOVA! Definitely will be back. We ordered a bunch of food, all of it was great! I have a bunch of allergies and dietary restrictions. Staff was super accommodating. They also try to source locally which is cool. Prices were very reasonable. Ambiance is great.
Very expensive food which did not tast good. Wait staff was very odd too. Disappointed.
Great food m, service and atmosphere!
Hotel restaurant with interesting menu, but fails in execution. We walked in at 6:15pm and the place was empty. Drinks came slowly. Cheese dip appetizer was ok. Biscuits covered in cheese did not taste very fresh. Food was decent but not great. There are too many other options in Reston to settle for this restaurant.
Tavern 64 is an amazing restaurant. They make the food really good, service is very friendly and it's very clean.
Limited menu and slow service. There weren’t that many other customers, but we had to wait approximately 30 minutes between drink order & food order.
This experience was a disaster from start to finish. The person who sat me was incomprehensible. He spoke and I didn’t understand what he said... not at all. I then sat for 18 minutes before anyone came to the table (not even for a drink order). The server did have me taste the wine I ordered before he poured (and I’m glad—it was a terrible Bourbon-barrel aged blend which tasted “off”). My dinner was fair, and the check took a long time. The following morning, I had, um... severe lower intestinal issues.
For what it’s worth, I’ve had breakfast at this place in the past and the buffet has been sufficiently decent. Based on this experience, however, I would recommend you stay away.
Good place for a business lunch. Quiet, good service, great food. I would definitely go back.
Did not realize it was a hotel based restaurant. Most are mediocre at best- this was no exception. Redeeming factors was the outside patio sitting and the wines, which were very good. Service was so so, once the food arrived the waiter did not come back to check on us. At the end, when we were almost done he showed up and asked my husband if he wanted ketchup. There were only two other 2-3 people parties outside and when we arrived the inside was empty except for one large party who were served by other waiters. Will definitely not go back.
This place was simply lovely for a first date. We went through 3 waiters before we moved on. The outdoor seating was comfy making our 10 hour date possible. The food was great and the service warm and inviting. I don't know if we'll find another great place for our second date!
My husband and I had our anniversary dinner at Tavern 64, we ordered appetizers as well as the main course, my 9 year old son was with us and he ordered the kids pasta. Which was a surprise for me because he is a usual chicken tender and fries type of child. He wiped it out. Their food came out hot which it a hot button for me on food and the presentation of the food had my husband and I in awe. The taste was wonderful.
The brunch items were fantastic. The wait staff was very attentive and welcoming.
Service was incredibly slow, from getting our meals to getting the check. They also got our orders wrong in several ways even though we were very clear about what we wanted. Once they got our orders (mostly) right, the food was very good.
service was great.
Mother’s Day brunch. It was a buffet with a decent selection, including prime rib. However, there was only scrambled eggs with no option for an omelet or eggs your way. Also, the dessert section was weak. And the price was the kicker. $54 per person with kids at $27. Way overpriced for what was offered. Won’t be back.
Birthday dinner, party of 8. Great ambiance. Good variety of menu options. Food taste was average. Service speed was average.
The wine list was very good. I really liked the menu choices and there was live music playing during dinner. Very good!
Very nice atmosphere, convenient to our hotel room. Food was Very Good. Service was excellent. Will plan on visiting this restaurant again in the future.
The selection for the Easter Day buffet was very limited. Don’t mind paying the price when there is a good selection. Lansdowne Resort as a buffet for the same price and includes a wide selection- omelette bar, Belgium waffle bar, amazing fruit selection, mimosas. Next time that is where my family will go. The potatoes at Tavern 64 were very lacking in taste. Thumbs down and we were disappointed 😞. Sorry
Incredible Easter buffett. Great experience
