The staff was nice and the food was okay. We ordered an appetizer which came out after we were basically done with our dinner, they didn’t even offer to cancel it or give a discount. The soda was flat and they gave us like shot glasses to drink our water out of.
Lobster roll was disappointing, very little meat. Parmesan Truffle Fries were delicious.
Music was a little loud
We had to be moved to a different table despite making a reservation which is understandable but was a minor inconvenience
For the egg scramble it was an overwhelming amount of house fries and little egg scramble even tho it was the main dish
Very pleasant afternoon brunching. Good vibes, good service.
My girls and I had a great time. Stephanie wasn’t sweet. Food delicious.
Great food and service. Their rooftop gives them one of the best setups for outdoor dining in NYC.
Very good bottomless brunch. They have arranged their rooftop to comply with social distancing.
Ivy is the best waitress!!!
The lobster roll barely had any lobster salad at all. I would not recommend ordering it.
I had my birthday here at Tavern29. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Tables are spaced out so you don’t have to be too close to anyone, and servers took precautions for cleanliness. Our waitress was also very friendly and made my birthday feel special! Definitely would come back and recommend to a friend!
Was there to celebrate my birthday. Wouldn’t be my typical choice for a bday brunch but glad I went. Drinks were really good and the service was excellent
It was my first time going to a place like this but it was great. I highly recommend this place. The service was amazing and the food was great. I'm looking forward to coming here again. Great customer service and I enjoyed myself.
Nice burgers and atmosphere.
Good options for brunch and lunch
Ivy was fantastic! We had a very lively group and she handled us like a pro. Great ambiance and service!
We were looking forward to trying this restaurant. We had a 7:45 reservation and we were surprised, since it was dinner hour, that the music was blasting and the bar crowd was loud and in full swing. Looks like a fun place for drinks but too noisy for dinner. Food was good though,
Service was great
So accommodating - made reservations for Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend and had originally been sat upstairs where the DJ booth was - it was loud and upon request - we were immediately sat in another section of the tavern in an amazing semi private booth! The food was delicious and they had a generous beer and cocktail menu! We will be returning!
2 of the menu items were unavailable, and what I really wanted to try. The food was ok. ambience was nice and the wait staff was cool.
Great food, great atmosphere. It’s definitely loud inside and we got stuck at a high top wobbly table with uncomfortable stools for seats. Overall, better for a young crowd but worth the delicious food and cocktails.
The food was good, once we got it.. however our server took our order, but never put it in and then left at her shift end without telling us. We had to go up to the bartender and ask where our food was and she had no idea we were even there. Absolute worst service
Cozy. Good service.
Horrible, horrible experience! Made a reservation for 8pm on a Friday night, showed up on time and the hostess told us “you can go upstairs for bar seating, we don’t have any open tables. Sorry, there was a glitch in our system.”
Of course, there were no open bar seats by this time. We came back down and told her that and asked for a table and she rudely explained there were four parties waiting and we’d be fifth in line (about an hour wait). We ended up leaving instead.
I’m appalled at the hostess’ rude behavior and more so, at the fact our reservation was not upheld. I would not recommend this restaurant.
We actually ended up not staying to eat. I came here with my daughter on Thanksgiving and arrived a little early to sit at the bar for a bit first. Based on other reviews this place sounded very good. But we immediately got turned off by the raunchy offensive music that was playing. That isn’t at all music I care to listen too when I go to dinner. The bartender was inattentive and once we decided we weren’t going to stick around for dinner it took me forever to get her attention to pay for the one drink I had. It was a shame because it was not at all like I pictured it would be.
Delicious Mac n cheese and buffalo dip! Big portions !
Quiet neighborhood pub with good food, good service.
Standard tavern menu, had the hangover burger which was decent. Nice service from the staff and we weren’t rushed, bottomless mimosas were frequently refilled (appreciated) but it’s definitely Andre or some very cheap champs. Nothing particularly special about here, the rooftop was cool enough.
The hostess was honestly pretty rude. They won't sit you until your full party is there. So we stood there, until our 4th person's cab arrived. She wouldn't let us even sit at a table as he was in transit. When we arrived we went to our table and the place was maybe 20% full.
I'm fine if that's your policy, however her attitude towards us and general manner was extremely rude.
This restaurant left little to be desired. When we arrived for our 12:30, we were seated at a table upstairs. We waited at least 10 minutes before a waitress came to even bring us water. Meanwhile we watched her walk back and forth to the table beside us three times. When she finally came, we could not even place our drink order because they had not given us a beer menu (even though they rave about their extensive list online). We did ask to put our food in, however, because we had a 2:30 reservation to make. The waitress informed us that even though we were ready to order, we would need to wait at least 15 minutes before we could order because she had two other tables that had not ordered yet and they had to first (even though they were not ready to yet). She also informed us the kitchen was backed up, even though there were only 3 tables seated. She walked away and brought us the beer menu back and then did not return to us for another 10 minutes. At that point, we had already made another reservation somewhere else and went on to enjoy a much better meal there.
We waited an hour for our food. Whenever we needed service, we had to go to the bar to ask. The food was overpriced and mediocre. The music was an ‘90’s playlist that repeated before we got our food.
Rooftop dining is nice. The rest of the restaurant was completely empty. Service was a little slow but food was good.
We had a reservation for 7. The hostess was rude, and just told us to go ahead and find our table, like we knew where to go.. then we didn’t get asked for a drink order for over 20 min and it wasn’t even that busy... we decided to leave and go somewhere else.
Came here for a rooftop, bottomless brunch and was very impressed! Cute rooftop, not the most amazing views since it’s in a nook between two taller building. Nonetheless a very nice vibe, mimosas kept flowing, and the avocado toast was epic!
The service was amazing, continuously filling up our bottomless drinks. The food was also very good, with good sized portions. It was pretty loud of the roof but was still a great time. Highly recommend!
Loved every minute of it! Great brunch and amazing staff!
The restaurant initially put us in a little alcove table which was very warm and had very small tables not big enough for the banquet seating. We requested to be moved. The food was good and server was very sweet however the food took a very long time to come out.
Inattentive despite our reservation and sat a party so large to us that we literally had no room to sit and actually was so unbearable we got up and left.
Took over an hour and a half for the food. Waiter was unfriendly and unhelpful. Would strongly recommend to not go.
Really fun, Mac & Cheese is great.
Ambiance and food were great, service was also very good. Only would like music to be a little less loud.
It was a great time!
