Pretty loud so be prepared for that. You get what you pay for though, bottomless brunch drinks, decent food, overall a good time.
Great bottomless brunch really do like the food. The outdoor area is warm for the winter
While the restaurant was fairly empty, the music was loud and offensive. I asked for the volume to be lowered and the server said it could not be lowered. Not sure why not.
Food was nonexistent
Service was nonexistent.
They accepted a reservation through this app but were closed when we arrived for it.
Total waste of time getting there and back. Very rude and incompetent to accept a reservation for a time in which they were CLOSED.
Brunch. Food was not great to fair
The food was great. 10/10 recommend the Kobe beef sliders. The service was fine not the best
Amazing place! So much fun. Great energy and food!
The restaurant was closed. Very unhappy
They took reservation on open table. However, when we got there (on time of reservation) the place was apparently closed.
So my fiancé and I were visiting the city and decided to make reservations. After walking in we were greeted by a hostess who was on her cell phone and didn’t bother to get up to take us to our table. When we walked upstairs to the rooftop bar/restaurant the tables were not numbered so therefore we were on sure as to which table to sit at. I inquired with the waitresses that were present upstairs and was told to sit at a small table. After a couple minutes of sitting a waitress walked up to us and greeted us and took our drink order. They were a little little busy at the rooftop with only two servers but they may do you what they had. Although I know some rodents are normal for New York while waiting on our food my fiancé and I spotted a rat running against the perimeter of the wall. We spotted the rat twice while we were there who knows how long or how many more rats was there. The beef sliders were good my fiancé enjoyed his food as well. Besides seeing the rat in the hostess barely greeting us, the food made up for the experience.
Beautiful rooftop space with bright paintings on the wall, lots of open space, and wonderful staff. The food was delicious and there was an event going on with a DJ and great drink specials. We will definitely be returning!
Arrived to have brunch on a typical Sunday and was very impressed. The servers were really friendly and the food was delicious. There was a Svedka brand event where they were giving away free swag which was great too. Will definitely go back the next time I’m in the city
Toxic! Skip this restaurant . The hostess doesn't know what's on the menu. Really?!
The food was outstanding but felt the service was poor. Was only ever checked in with server once or twice. Drinks hit after the food (which took about 15-20 minutes). Felt as though since we weren’t doing the bottomless option, we were not nearly as cared for by staff as the tables around us. Would go again for the food, but not sit on rooftop again and opt for inside.
Tavern 29 was a great brunch spot with amazing bottomless mimosas, it was a no brainer. We were able to snag an early reservation morning on Saturday. Great service and delicious food. Great prices!
We had a reservation for two of us and arrived a little early but were seated immediately two floors up on the rooftop (which we weren’t expecting). The rooftop was gorgeous but when we walked through the empty second floor we weren’t greeted by anyone at the top. Instead we found a distraught looking server who asked us what table the hostess had given us. As it turned out the table we were given at the host stand was taken but we just sat at a different one. From there it took 15 minutes for one of the two servers to come up to us for drink orders. After it was placed we got our drinks (2 beers) in good time, but we were not able to place our order for another 40 minutes (about 55 minutes after sitting down). It was obvious to us that the two servers were far too busy with other tables to be as attentive to us as we had hoped. The amount of time they had to spend behind the bar making drinks was tremendous. There were about 10 tables filled and just not enough servers to take care of all of us. After we had placed our order, we got our food in timely fashion and absolutely loved it. I got the California chicken sandwich and salad. Both of which were amazingly done. My girlfriend got the falafel which was also fantastic. A few times we saw who we assumed to be the manager come upstairs but he didn’t check in with tables and didn’t provide any support to the two swamped servers. Overall, the food and ambiance was terrific and we would definitely go back but would love to see more waitstaff or some tables blocked off to avoid waiting almost an hour to order food. The servers seemed very stressed and definitely would have provided great service if they had the means, it was just far too busy for the two of them.
The food was great. Very nice and chilled. During the summer time I think you should have fans in the corner on the rooftop area.
Great food, reasonably priced and nice, welcoming atmosphere. Would come for brunch again
Brunch was great. Food was delicious, service was okay. Mimosa's were heavy on the OJ but bottomless was $25 a person.
Everything was great but we had to leave after 1.5 hours. We just wanted to stay and enjoy the atmosphere but everything else was great!
Good food a drinks for a good price!
Incredible service and the food was very tasty! Would definitely come back!
William was awesome!
Our waitress was the best--super helpful and attentive throughout happy hour and awesome energy and friendliness.
Yet again, slow and rude service despite many empty tables.
Several drinks on the menu weren’t available.
EXTREMELY unaccomodative of any modifications if you have food restrictions like vegan / vegetarian. The worst part is that I even if it’s a tiny modification, some servers may say yes after asking a few times and others just say no even I showed a pic of the thing they served me last time with the exact tiny modification I requested. This is the most pathetic attitude I’ve ever experienced in NYC as someone with food restrictions.
I returned here in hopes of better service and food options since the ambiance is really nice. But I have realized it’s simply not worth wasting my hard earned $ and free time at a place like this.
Great food, great service! Definitely would recommend!
Very happy with our night, we had an outdoor rooftop table and enjoyed the live jazz music that was just the right volume. Food/drinks were good and the service was very good-- our servers were very personal and fun.
Great midtown spot, cute outdoor spot, not too many food options but good drinks!
We went for brunch on Sunday and the overall experience was just average. The roof top is not much of a setting. The drinks were fair and the food was pretty good.
Father’s Day early dinner with family. Has a blast. Rooftop is amazing. I imagine it gets loud and crowded at other times, but we did a 5pm dinner and had an amazing time.
Very helpful and very accommodating when we needed to move out of the sun. Food was great as well. Highly recommend this spot.
Incredibly slow service and rude waitstaff. Don’t give them your brunch business.
You get a table for 90 minutes and the food took 1 hour plus to come to us since we ordered. Appreciate that Saturday brunch will be a busy time but if they can’t service so many tables, simply don’t take the reservation.
Our waitress was also quite rude when we inquired why the food was taking so long. If you like ask questions about the menu / need some modifications to food to meet dietary requirements, don’t bother asking them as they will just show a ton of attitude. Oh, and they also walk away mid-way through the order. Like I said, if you are busy, simply don’t seat more people and ruin their day too.
Food was fine, but cold and dishes was different people came 20 mins apart. Like the truffle fries a lot.
Great food, the staff was very nice ! I wish the menu had a few more choices but the food and drinks were delicious
Great place food was delicious service excellent great setting rooftop and bar
It was just Ok.
Food is great music is great and service was great. Bottomless mimosas is definitely Bottomless! Overall a great experience
Made an outdoor reservation and asked for the happy hour menu but was told we couldn’t do happy hour on the rooftop so we asked to sit inside but we were given such a hard time about it because they were claiming the reservations were booked. After going back and forth with the hostess multiple times she finally brought us down to a table in the back that was sticky and unclean and we were not even given the happy hour menu there till we asked for it after being ignored for a good 10 minutes. Not to mention that the tables and the bar was empty. I’ve never experienced service this bad before and will not be coming back.
I wasn't too sure about this p[lace but it ended up being really nice. The server was really knowledgeable about the beers, and the food was excellent. They had a great beer selection too.
The ambiance could use a little bit of work, but overall it was a nice place
Great brunch and great service!!
