Not sure what all the negative reviews were about just a bunch of nitpickers. Everything we had was delicious. Meatball app, French onion soup to die for, filet cooked to perfection and pistachio crusted chicken. Can't wait to go back and try more things.

We decided on this Restaurant for our Departmental Holiday gathering. We are a blend of individuals with varying tastes. The staff enjoyed the experience, the food, and the multitude of options. The price was a little on the higher side as we had drinks. This experience was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Staff was friendly, and helpful. I used Open table to reserve our table in advance, but confirmed it the afternoon of the event, since there were several of us going and the reviews said other people had problems with this. We of course had no issues. Thanks!

Seemed unorganized. Very loud upstairs noise. Never asked us if we wanted another bar drink or wine. We had to ask for more water several times. Food was fair.

My friends and I had a great time. The service was excellent - could not have asked for better. We asked for some substitutions to the menu (cutting calories) and also for gluten free options. They were very accommodating on both accounts!

I had read some reviews that referred to poor service, but this was not our experience at all - everyone - the waitstaff, people cleaning the dishes and filling water and the bartender were terrific.

The food was delicious. I had the scallops. The flourless chocolate cake was amazing.

We had a very nice dinner. However, I would be hesitant to return to the restaurant based on how they handled my credit transaction. We paid with a Visa our bill was around $300 with tip. They processed the transaction and placed a hold on my card for $250. I have no issue with a hold up until the transaction but the transaction cleared my account on 7/16 and the hold was on the account until 7/21! I find that process unreasonable and will likely avoid this restaurant and advise others to as well based on their poor record keeping!

My family and I were recently there this past Friday. Our service was terrible, our server barely paid us any mind, we waited over an hour for our food while tables around us were served left and right. Once we finally received our food it wasn't even warm.. Horrible service

The dinners are very good, but expensive with everything a la carte. I did come here once for specialty pizzas with my wife and that was very good and much more reasonable.

I made a late in the day reservation via open table with multiple times available. once a made the reservation, I was called to say that the restaurant would not honor the reservation. they were full and I could come in an hour or so later that requested but could not have the reservation that was confirmed electronically. they apparently do not know how to use Open table or are poor managers.

Went to Tavern 1757 for Valentines Day. Crabcake and Fried Lobster Tail was amazing as was Pork Chop. the Lobster Ravioli in Newberg sauce was a bit underwhelming. The Pineapple infused sponge cake was quite good as well.

Went for Valentine's day dinner had holiday menu all sounded so good well we were wrong! We had lobster ravioli with newburg sauce and linguine with white wine garlic sauce and seafood. First there were only 4 ravioli and the sauce was bland then the pasta seemed like they poured the pot of water and pasta into bowl and threw in the seafood absolutely horrible. We paid our check and left we will never go back $100 for tasteless food what a waste.

Good neighborhood atmosphere. You can do pizza or go more upscale. I had calimari and it was well flavored and tender. Also had the fish special, which was quite good as well. Everyone in our group was pleased with their meal.

Didn't care the people at the desk. A little too New York. Didn't like our waitress. The beef wellington was not even warm and the beef was over cooked and rubbery. The chef should never have let it go out to a customer. $30 dollars for cold left overs? Place looks great, too bad the food didn't match the ambiance.

We needed an early dinner due to a prior engagement and the staff accommodated us for 4:30PM when the tavern didn't open for dinner until 5:00PM. They were terrific.

Great food & drinks! Meatball appetizer is delicious!! Steaks are over cooked every time we go though. Even though we tell them, they never offer to replace them. If they could fix that, this would be at the top of our list.
