The best about this place is quiet. But that comes with a reason why. We were served by a waitress and a waiter/ table cleaner. The waitress billed us wrong and was annoyed that we told her she charged us way less than we spent. The table cleaner waiter kept asking us if we need anything else, hint: or else, please leave so I can clean this table. But half of this restaurant was empty. No one was waiting to be seated!!! Food was overpriced for it's worth. We were so uncomfortable there that we left and was baffled by this weird place.

The food was decent. Nothing to write home about but a solid brunch. The service was awful though. Truly. Our waitress seemed simple rely disinterested in working - period. And her colleagues were in the same frame of mind. We sat for 15 minutes after they seated us and three requests with no coffee for a Saturday morning brunch. They bever got our order right and didn't seem to care. Never again.

Lovely, quiet locals hangout for weekend brunch. The eggs benedict was the best I have had in years! The bacon was a tad overcooked, but we had eaten so much that it really didn't matter. It's a bit chilly in the morning, so wear layers. There were loads of hipster foodies, and the endless mimosas seemed to be a hit. This is a casual spot, well lit and lively. Lots of parking out front.

Extremely nice staff. Casual and comfortable environment. Delicious food. Bottomless mimosas. The only complaint was that the bacon was a tad undercooked, but they politely replaced it with no problem. Once that happened the food was exceptional.

I recently had dinner at Tavares with two friends. This was my fourth time dining there. Tavares is a gem of a restaurant. Parking is convenient. The servers are friendly. The food is great. For the second time, I had the fish cooked in a banana leaf. It was delicious. One of my friends and I split the Thai salad with prawns. Although that's not a classical Brazilian dish, we really enjoyed it. My friends and I will be traveling to Brazil shortly and we were pleased to learn from the maitre d' that there is a "mother ship" Tavares in the Jardins area of Sao Paulo, only a 5 minute walk from the hotel we'll be staying at. We will be sure to try it out!
