Tatsu, in Chicago, specializes in melt-in-your-mouth sushi and other authentic Asian-fusion cuisine in its warm and inviting eatery. For starters, the crispy vegetable egg rolls and the chicken satay skewers with peanut sauce are fantastic and provide glimpses into the meal ahead. Some of TasuÕs house specialty entrŽes include the Tatsu fried rice with jumbo shrimp, chicken, cashews in special sauce, the tangy grilled steak teriyaki and the tofu panang curry with coconut milk, basil and chilies. Tatsu also crafts a wonderful selection of special sushi rolls, such as the sweet potato tempura with mayo and eel sauce, the spicy scallop with spicy mayo and scallions and the butterfly with eel, shrimp tempura, crab, cucumber, masago and eel sauce.
Be sure to enjoy your incredible Asian feast with a specialty house wine or traditional Japanese sake, available in both hot or cold varieties.
Tatsu offers very good Thai dishes at a reasonable price. The service is attentive and the room is appealing, in part due to the attractive bar area. Since I work nearby, it is a lunch destination for me. Lunch service is fast. The lunch menu adds value by including miso soup and eggroll in the modest price for the meal. The Thai iced tea is delicious!
Of all the things in Little Italy, there's a great sushi restaurant, Tatsu. Go figure. Perfectly made with the freshest fish, it's a great little spot near the UIC campus.
Tatsu is an elegant pan-Asian restaurant located in Little Italy. The food is very good and the Thai iced tea is the best of any I have tried. Lunch includes miso soup and a vegetable egg roll with the entries, all of which are reasonably priced. The service is very attentive.
Very dependable Thai food with excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere.
This has turned into my wife and I's favorite sushi place in the entire city. The service was great, the sushi AMAZING and it had a very comfortable, unpretentious feel to the place. We've already made reservations to go back, have recommended it to many people and will continue to do so.
I am a big fan of Thai noodles and the Pad Si Eweis very good here. The lunch special includes miso soup and an egg roll. The Thai iced coffee is really good too.
Tatsu gives a great mixture of Asian cuisine. Highly recommened if you like sushi or any Asian style
I have been coming to Tatsu for almost six years now and the sushi is always fresh and tastes great. They have a wonderful selection of specialty rolls, as well as other non-sushi dishes. I haven't had anything on the menu that I didn't love
A very nice restaurant in the University Village neighborhood.
This is a good neighborhood find with good food. The service was very good with very little wait time. We will definitely to back.
The sample platter appetizer and featured maki were very good but the standard sushi off the menu was nothing worth writing home about. Based on the prices of the sushi rolls I would have expected much more. The services was pretty bad as well. There were only 2 other tables in the restaurant both of which were done eating and our order of 2 sushi rolls took roughly 15 minutes. I would go back to this restaurant only for the appetizer and nothing more. I would not recommend it for a sushi dinner! Chicago is full of great sushi restaurants and this is not one of them.
I've been to Tatsu a few times before, but forgot how delicious it was. And I couldn't believe how empty it was for a Friday night (thank goodness, because we were starving!). Between the 4 of us we shared 5 rolls, soft shell crab and edamame and everything was delicious. I would strongly recommend going to Tatsu. It may be my new go-to sushi restaurant
