....not bad atmosphere but the smoke from a fire near by was a bit of a downer...
The Valentine Prix Fix was good . Nice evening overall . Patio is very pleasant
Loved the down home décor and comfy comfort food dining. Great for catching up with a friend or family member.
We came on a unique day- Christmas Eve. So, they had a special going on for a $40 3 course meal. It started with your choice of wine or champagne and a palette cleanser (which was my favorite thing. Honestly, the most delicious thing I’ve tasted in a while.) it was like a citrus infused piece of sashimi on a yogurt spread with something green on it (lol). Then we had a choice of two appetizers. I got the Brussels sprouts and OMG, I don’t care if you say you’d never eat them- you would eat these. Amazing. Dinner was spectacular, art was eclectic, dessert was fabulous, waiter was so friendly. All around great experience. I’ll definitely go back again.
No regret at all to choose TART after long journey flight
We love everything bout it.
I selected TART from a Google search for local seafood restaurants, I relied on the photographs and reviews people had left. They were right! My date liked it too, which made the evening even more great .
Occasion: thanksgiving dinner. Everything was great, nothing to complain about. I strongly recommend this place.
Felt as if we were home.
Thanksgiving dinner was all right. Our waitress was the sweetest girl in the world, but failed to bring us our water, even though we requested it. She gave us ZERO refills on our drinks. We spent a while just waiting for service that never came. When it came time to pay, the waitress was nowhere in sight. Eventually, the bartender came over and took the payment, then he disappeared into the corner and started chatting it up with all the girls. Ten minutes later, the waitress came back to apologize and said that the CC verification system was slow. But we should've been told that while waiting. Instead, they just let us sit there. Beautiful place. Great location. Ok food, but disappointing all around.
I had heard great things about TART, when my wife and I went, it was very quiet and peaceful.
not what I was looking for that night, so i was a little disappointed, but overall i like the place, just need more bodies, and busier ambiance. I will come back on a different occasion and see how i feel then.
Diddnt really need the reservation on a tuesday, but glad they still saw my name on the reservation and sat me and my party quick.
The drinks were pretty good wasn't crazy about the food, the waffle was good fried chicken wasn't.
This was the first time we dined at Tart. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was very pleasant and cheerful. My husband and I both ordered the hamburger. I wanted to substitute the French fries with a small salad or veggies... but Tart does not substitute nor do they have a side of healthy veggies... unless your order their veggie salad for an additional $15. I ended up ordering the fried brussels sprouts $9... it was delicious but not a healthy choice...The hamburger was cooked to order and very tasty. I ordered mine “protein style”. I would go back if they only had a healthy side dish to substitute for the fries.
Great patio dining for brunch. Wonderful service
Tart was the special find of my business trip and I can’t wait to go back for work and pleasure! We went for lunch from a friends recommendation and it was superb. It was hard to decide. Next time I will have to go for dinner and try that out too, but the brunch menu was phenomenal. What a hidden gem!
Everything was good. ONLY PROBLEM!?! THE MUSIC IS GETTING LOUDER AND LOUDER AND LOUDER
Not crowded but service painfully slow. If you want to pay $5 extra for toast with your scramble, $5 for 1/4 avocado add-on, or eat outside with flies dive bombing you, this is the place. 3 simple meals, no booze, only water to drink = $76. They don't charge extra for the over ripe marginal fruit they plated for $13. The chicken and waffles was good. Poor value and utter lack of service overcame anything positive about the experience.
Bottom line, the steep prices, poor service and an over abundance of flies leaves a bad taste in one's mouth.
Google what a fly does every time it lands. We have all seen what flies like to land on.
Eating at TART a second time would be re-TART-ed!
Went for breakfast, excellent food, service & ambience!
Great good! I came for brunch with a friend. I got the American breakfast and she got the scramble (which has a Mexican spin). The bottomless is great - and they have bottomless bloody Mary's!
The only negative was that it was a bit noisy?
Will come back and highly recommend.
The ambiance at Tart is amazing. The decor is very chic, comfortable, and creative. The food offered many choices and all were delicious. The staff was fantastic and very accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I came here for brunch on the weekend... the food was great but they will not do substitutions on any dish. I don't eat meat and all I asked if they can swap out the sausages for avocados or any other side. Nope, no substitutions...ever. In fact they said it would be $5.00 charge for a side of avocado. Really? Not really customer friendly.
Loved the food here. The morning scramble was delicious as was the French toast. Very nice staff too!
In two days we had three meals here. Loved all of them.
Fantastic trip for brunch - the ambiance and service was fabulous.
It's great to eat here everyone is so nice and can crack jokes
Burger is superb
Love this place it has good food and great service
I had a great time and it was my first date with my Man ... and it was simply amazing..!
I J'aDore it ..!
The staff was helpful in re-locating us from the outside to the inside area.
The outside had a visible fly concern; screaming children also detracted from the experience.
The bar was crowded, but otherwise agreeable.
This was a wonderful restaurant! Beautiful spot with lovely outdoor seating. The meals were delicious! Nice happy hour deals.
TART has been a favorite for me as I meet people prior to engagements in this area of town. It is very hard to find parking off Fairfax Avenue, and TART has a relationship with a nearby garage that validates parking at $6 if you eat at the restaurant. Great deal on parking, good food and good service.
This place is great ! I would come constantly
Great place to come here for a nice vibe and child spot today with friends or loved one
First time..greeted warmly..our server, Meghan, was professional, friendly and fun! Food was good...sat outside-overall "part-like"/fun atmosphere...
There need to be fans outside!
Service was not that great this time....
Great service & delicious food. Perfect spot for brunch!
I have eaten at Tart a couple of times now. Given its proximity to the Writer's Guild, it is convenient to meet colleagues here. They validate parking ($6) after the stamp. However, the last time I parked, the attendant told me I would have to pay the daily $20 rate, even with the validation. Not sure I will go back as the $20 for parking on top of the cost of dinner doesn't make it worthwhile.
I would definitely suggest making a reservation. Even though the place was packed for brunch we were seated at our reservation time. The punch bowl drink was very refreshing. The half bowl for 4 of us was about 2-3 drinks per person (depending on how much ice you put in your glass). Basic menu options. Our food came out hot, no complaints there.
We used uber since we knew we were drinking but there is valet parking next door which is great. It's not free but having that option is better than spending hrs looking for a parking spot.
Been here before and was surprised by the limited menu compared to the past - though it was tasty and satisfying; We both enjoyed our meals. Service was fine while at the table, tho not always as attentive as one might have wished when wanting something i.e. their radar was a bit deactivated. Could have been the heat inside which, though we sat in the AC'd indoors seemed challenged despite the day being cooler than those preceding. Still, small complaints as overall it's a great casual spot to meet a friend and visit for a couple hours.
