Small portions, but tasty, fresh, gourmet food served elegantly in a nice, quiet woodsy setting.
The 4 course idea is nice, but we didn't all order from all sections. Some of us got food while others sat and waited for their next course. The food was good but most was lukewarm. Music was much too loud.
Pre-anniversary.
The food was fantastic and the service was wonderful. The Inn at Honey Run is a hidden gem.
Katie our server and the food was fantastic! The price was twice as much as it should be though. I know it’s part of the overall package but $140 for two with no alcohol was steep.
As our first visit we started in the lounge area and were given a menu with appetizers on one side and drinks on the other. The bar employee asked for our room key. Upon looking at our room key he took the menu back and said we were not eligible for that menu. So he took them away. Talk about feeling underclass. No explanation. We ordered a drink and took it to our room because we felt so uncomfortable there. Our reservation for dinner was 7:15. Theresa was a wonderful server. Food was ok. A very fancy meal. Presentation was nice too. The atmosphere was almost too quiet and uncomfortable. Our first and last time.
My wife and I visited Tarragon for our wedding anniversary - we like to try something a little different each year and I'm so happy we decided on Tarragon. The food was absolutely amazing, some of the best and most creative dishes we'd ever tasted. The service was also incredible, we loved our server and she made the experience that must better. We'll definitely be back.
Have almost nothing really to offer for vegetarian.
Small menu, but every item was done with great precision and detail. I definite must try.
Best lamb I’ve ever had! Great service and super quiet environment
The food at Tarragon is very good, but a little pricey. For $34 I got four very small scallops and a dollop of roasted beets. There is one steak on the menu for $45 and there is only six entrees total, not giving people much variety. The ambiance is excellent and the view is beautiful. While I really enjoy this restaurant I wish they'd offer more choices at more reasonable prices.
My fiancé and I stayed at the Inn at Honeyrun for the first time for Valentine’s Day. We immediately loved the beautiful, serene atmosphere. We dined at the Tarragon restaurant for dinner, and were in love! Amazing service, and even more amazing food! Everything we had was very unique and had great flavor! We will absolutely be returning in the spring to try the new menu! Would recommend staying and eating here to anyone!
This was our second time eating here. It was our Valentine's Day date night. The food is exceptional and very unique. It was a five course meal and I didn't leave feeling uncomfortable. Portion sizes were perfect. And the wine was delicious!
Second visit and on our list of favorite places to go. It is a little drive from Akron Ohio but the Amish countryside is beautiful and the towns surrounding the restaurant are interesting even to a non shopper like me. I don’t understand how this quality of dining is available at this remote location but it is. The overnight resort is also intriguing but that will be for next time.
As always, Inn At Honey Run is a great place to visit, even if you are not staying. The restaurant today is much different from when we first stating visiting this establishment.
But, even though they are more "cosmopolitan" in their choices, they have not forgotten their roots and are a wonderful place to eat and enjoy friends and significant others.
Wonderful experience. Would certainly recommend and return.
My wife loves the food and atmosphere of the Tarragon. We visit the Tarragon at least twice a year, one on my wife's birthday and on Mother's Day. This restaurant is where my wife always wants to go. The scenic views are just amazing and the staff is spectacular. The chef makes your plate special and delicious every time. My family and I have never been disappointed. We look forward to the next opportunity to visit again.
What a fabulous New Year's Eve dinner we had here! Attentive service, delicious food and perfect atmosphere!
More vegetarian items would be great, especially in the middle courses.
My husband and I were quite impressed with the restuarant. We were seated promptly, waited on immediately and the staff was very friendly. Our waitress every time she came to our table greeted us with a smile. For our second course, I had the mushroom soup which was very rich and creamy. I didn't leave a drop. Third course, I had the goat cheese pastry which just melted in your mouth, but were able to capture all the flavors of this light puffed pastry. My husband had gnocchi and he scooped every last bit of it up. Our main course we both had the rack of lamb which was done to perfection. It was beautifully plated and the lamb was prepared as medium rare which it should of been. Every bite I fell more and more in love. The lamb was so tender and juicy. I have to say for a romantic evening out on New Years Eve, it captured the dining we were hoping for. I highly recommend dining here.
We had a 5pm reservation on New Years Eve to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Unfortunately since it was a Sunday we were unable to have wine , spirits or beer which was a bummer especially since it was New Years Eve. Maybe a disclaimer on the reservation or in the confirmation would have been appropriate. The food , service and atmosphere was amazing and well worth the trip and value.
This was a nice find, thanks to open table. It is in a resort type hotel off the main roads but just 7 minutes from Millersburg center. Really nice place with great views of a steep ravine filled with really tall trees. The snowy deck had a large Christmas tree with oraments and small bird feeders. The atmosphere is very cozy.
The salads were unique and reasonable. Two of us had clams as a lunch entree. Mother loved the quiche. I look forward to coming back.
The food was good, just way overpriced.
It was hard to get enough food to feel full without spending over $100.
Really nice dining area, and quiet.
We had a wonderful dinner and breakfast at The Tarragon. We had the clams and the calamari to start--we enjoyed both. My husband's bone-in filet was delicious (though he was not a fan of the potatoes) and I believe I had the duet of quail--it was such an interesting dish, I so enjoyed the combination of flavors. Our server that evening was very polite.
The next morning we had breakfast in the restaurant. I really enjoyed the English Breakfast. The only thing that would have made it better is if it had two hard boiled eggs rather than one. Our server Katie was delightful.
Exceptional experience. Meals were delicious. Dessert (panna cotta) was unbelievable. Service was friendly and prompt.
We highly recommend dining here.
Wait staff were great
We celebrated our anniversary and had an amazing experience. The service, ambiance and the FOOD were fantastic. Our server was excellent and made great recommendations on drinks & entree choices. My osso bucco was out of this world. My husband wanted the triple chocolate cake and was disappointed that it wasn’t available. Our server (Theresa?) suggested ice cream with fudge sauce instead, it was the perfect ending.
The decorations were cozy & elegant.
Best dining experience we’ve had in a long time. Thank you!
Food was outstanding.
The chef and staff were very accommodating to our specific dietary needs.
Foodies will love this place!
Birthday celebration and it was perfect.
We enjoyed the Thanksgiving dinner here. The service was top-notch, the food was excellent.
Nice quiet music so we could talk, great window view. It was a meal and holiday worth remembering.
Excellent dinner on Thanksgiving Day with a one price menu. The food and the choices were very nice.
We dined here for Thanksgiving (first time ever not cooking at home and first time at Tarragon). The Thanksgiving menu was very good, starting with the most delicious soup ever, then salad, an entree, which you could choose one of three things. We all went with the traditional turkey. The food was prepared perfectly and was excellent. The portions were just right for me and my adult daughters, however, my husband and son were looking for more to eat. The dessert, choice of walnut torte or apple tart, tasted amazing. The crust on that apple tart was the best ever, and I have had a lot of pies and tarts in my life! The coffee was quite strong and we had to ask for coffee creamer a few times because the little creamer container held maybe an ounce and a half and you needed quite a bit to even color the coffee. The real drawback was the atmosphere. We were seated downstairs and we felt like we were at a business meeting, as this was a conference room. I was told it would be decorated beautifully for the season, but besides the little pears in jars on the table, I didn't notice any decorations that warmed it up or made me feel like I was somewhere special for a holiday dinner or somewhere other than a meeting room. Soft music would have been nice and maybe add some different lighting....even lamps or candles. Perhaps round tables would be a nice choice and add a centerpiece that included pumpkins or gourds. It would have felt more like Thanksgiving dinner.
Our server was attentive and we enjoyed viewing the grounds of the Inn after dinner.
The cost of the meal did not meet the quality of the meal.
Great place for a nice, quiet, cozy, romantic get away.
Tarragon has a great organic vibe but the servings are to small and the prices to high. A different menu with more reasonable prices would be attractive to a broader audience.
Service was excellent. Very attentive
Food was delicious. Meat(lamb, filet) done perfectly.
Ladies room needs to be updated
Overpriced and lackluster taste to my entree. Service was good
Really, really good! Small menu - three choices each in the first three courses. And, a limited main course menu - good for the chef and staff; and less confusing for the guests. It is a gem in the middle of Amish country.
Great place for a quiet birthday! Went mid-week, having no problem to change our reservation time to fit our schedule better once there. They were very accommodating.
First time there in a long time, and both our meals were very delicious and better than we could have hoped for. We ordered an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert to share and all were great and perfectly prepared. We missed out on the nice view of the Autumn scenery because of our reservation time, but another visit of breakfast allowed us to enjoy a great overlook of the woodland landscape that surrounds the hotel.
