A fabulous dining experience!! Simply the best service from Josh White, our friendly, knowledgeable and energetic server! Each of us loved our meals, but my Tarpon Thai dish is my all-time favorite! My son said the BG was the best grouper dish he's ever had...kudos to Chef Gaston and his team! We're already talking about when we can experience Tarpon Bay again.
Excellent brunch. We make a point of going every time we visit the area
Best meal of our vacation. Amazing seafood. Excellent service.
Great food choice and excellent meal. Service was superb. Sat on deck near pool and fountain, great ambience and sunset.
My husband and I shared the whole snapper. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed the food. However I had mentioned with my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and we mentioned it again at the restaurant and they didn’t do anything. Also we waited for milk to go in the tea for over 15 min as well as the bill.
Our dinner at Tarpon Bay was delicious. The flavors of everything from Ceviche to swordfish to dessert was wonderful. We will be going back.
Vacation. Excellent seafood
Have had dinner twice in the last week. Service and food excellent.
Last week ordered a cake for a birthday. The cake was truly delicious. Very beautifully served. One of the best cakes I have had in years.
Candace was our waitress who was terrific.
Sat outside and enjoyed the beauty of the water fountain.
We had not visited Tarpon Bay in over a year and had forgotten what a memorable dining experience it can be. The food, service and ambiance are amazing. I cannot recommend it enough. Be sure to walk through the beautifully manicured grounds before or after dining
Food and service were very good. A wide selection of smaller and larger items, so one could pair 2-3 appetizer or side items into a full meal. This restaurant is a great alternative to the "in-season" chaos at many Naples area restaurants.
Excellent food in a beautiful setting on the terrace at Tarpon Bay! We will be back!
We love this restaurant and is always our special occasion place to go - the staff goes out of their way to accommodate every need and make you feel welcome. It is the perfect place for any event or occasion.
Very good food. Expensive. Waitress was excellent, very helpful and knowledgeable but I think they were short staffed. Very slow service. Almost sorry we said we weren't in a rush but didn't expect to be sitting for almost 3 hours for just 2 people. Great scenery/ambience if seated on the porch, otherwise pretty standard if inside.
We have dined here several times in the past while staying at the Hyatt, and have always been happy with our experience. Well this was probably our worst experience. We would have liked the outdoor seating, especially since it was a special occasion, there was none available, which I understand first come first serve, however, I did note that it was a birthday when I made the reservation on Open table. My husband tripped down the stairs pretty hard on to a cement floor, so that didn't start the night off good for him, the service was very, very slow, also my daughter ordered a lobster tail but received a full lobster, we were told it would take too long to cook her a tail, even though the full lobster was more expensive, she did not enjoy it or know how to eat it!
Prior to our visit to the Hyatt, I researched bakeries and found one that would deliver to the Hyatt, so the bakery and myself made arrangements with the hotel to have the cake delivered to the restaurant for my son's 18th birthday, well the cake was not there when we were ready to celebrate and it seemed nobody knew nothing about it. I was so upset about this entire dining experience.
Excellent meal. Unusual entrees. Attentive wait staff.
Over-priced with slow service. Food was good but not great.
Dinner was absolutely delicious. I had fish and my wife had a steak. Both were perfectly prepared with great sauces.
Sword fish over cooked, optional risotto was undercooked and rice was hard/crunchy. Wine service was wanting. Have been there many times...they were under staffed for a busy night and the food and service reflected that. As I did not eat my entre, it was comped, but I was not offered choice of another selection.
Outstanding service. Food was even better. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Overall was satisfied with the food here they have really fresh seafood the only concern is when they have large groups there the kitchen can get a little backed up and then everyone in the restaurant waits for their food so it's a little hit and miss depending on what's going on one night our food was there quickly and the following night we waited an hour for a main course sit outside for the view it could be noisy inside
Our first visit was on Thursday. Peggy was our server and she was exceptional.Food was outstanding. We loved it so much that we returned on Friday with guests. Food was good. Service was very poor and we waited long time for everything!! very disappointing!!
Beautiful setting but service was sketchy. We were seated and promptly received a bread basket. Then we waited 15-20 minutes for a waiter, only to have to ask the hostess to fetch one. Our waitress apologized with an awkward explanation and we ordered. Then we waited another 20 mins for our food, with the waitress constantly assuring us the food was coming.
My entree was good but my wife’s ala carte twice baked potato wasn’t. My entree was good.
Later, the manager stopped by to apologize and took my drink off our bill.
Maybe it was just a rough night, but the service -especially for a Hyatt resort property- was not acceptable. Something is a bit amiss here.
We’ll try again, because it’s such a pretty place and we want it to be good.
Tarpon Bay has a wonderful Florida casual ambiance while still being recognized for upscale gourmet food. Our experience was excellent, in spite of the fact that we dined on one of the busiest restaurant nights of the year. Food presentation and taste were awesome and the setting was very romantic. Definitely a must for your next special occasion!!
We had reservations for 7:15 and when we arrived, we were told that they were clearing a table and that we would be seated in”5-10 minutes “. That was a lie, we were not seated until 7:45. It does not take a half hour to clear a table. We did not have a waiter approach us until 8:05, 20 minutes later. He apologized and promised that he would serve the wine we ordered “right away “. Well, we were finished our appetizers when the wine was finally delivered. He did not ask our selection of sauces, and told us that there was no choice, even though the menu said otherwise. I could b
Go on and on, but you get the idea.
It was a terrible way to spend Valentine’s day. Needless to say we will never return.
All of the food in our $300.00 meal was cold. It was not meant to be cold. The waitress was pleasant and initially prompt, but each drink-order wait was a minimum of 10-15 minutes. The food order—multiple courses—was 20+ minutes in wait time. The decor was pleasant, but the noise was intolerable. Sound diffusing palets would add color and a quieter environment. For an expensive Hyatt-based restaurant this is not acceptable. We shall not return.
Valentine’s Day-We had scallops and Scottish salmon. Both were excellent as were the desserts! Will be back.
8 of us wanted to go to some place for dinner that was high end and a pleasant seating , and your place was picked and was what we wanted. The service was great for dinner , but not so good at the bar where we stopped first for a drink. The server may have been new or a junior but she need help or more training. Over all it was a great evening and all were pleased
Outstanding place. Really hadn't heard others talk about it. So many great places in Naples area. This is at the top. Can't go wrong. Great food, service venue and value for fine dining.
Everything was great the only problem was we seated right by the kitchen other then that service and food were wonderful
Saturday night, our reserved outside table at 7:15 was not ready when we arrived. They suggested going to the bar and wait. We waited at the bar although there were no seats available. At 7:45, I went to the maître d and I was advised that our table had been given to another party and would we like to sit inside. It would have been nice if they had offered a complimentary glass of wine or beer. What we did get was an admission that it was their fault.
We had been there midweek previously and had a much better experience
Food was exceptional and service also. Our waiter, Henri, was superb. We were not rushed and enjoyed over 2 hours of dining with friends. We will return. Bacon-wrapped grouper was unique.
We had a very nice quality dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday.
It was Super Bowl Sunday and the place was rather empty. The Paella Di Mare included two huge scallops that were slightly undercooked. The waiter offered to replace them but as he asked towards the end of the meal I was just about finished. The Grilled Black Grouper was perfect.
Flawless service & food. Outside patio ambience is nicer than inside.
Overall our dinner was superb! BUT.... our service lacked efficiency and communication. We had a longer than normal wait for our initial cocktail service and even longer for an appetizer to be even offered. Chef was personable and management was accommodating.
We went on a quiet Sunday night. Very nice room, comfortable, dimly lit, not at all stuffy or pretentious. Service started out a bit slow, but was perfect from then on in. The waitress was attentive, had great recommendations, took very good care of us. Food was very good, chef came out to check on us. Lobster Bisque was excellent. Get the Divers Spear entree, a whole Red Snapper, deep fried....it was great. We had a very nice night.
Tried Tarpon Bay for brunch on Sunday. It was pretty underwhelming. For 50.00 per person, you get unlimited Mimosas, which were fine. For an extra charge, you could order from the Bloody Mary bar with several different garnish options. The food on the buffet was just fair. There was seafood, salad, pastries, meats and cheese, crab salad. You get the choice of an entree. I ordered the foie gras and eggs. The foie gras and eggs were cold by the time they arrived to the table. Also tried the shrimp and grits, which were not very good. The texture of the grits was like oatmeal, not smooth and creamy. We won't be going back there.
The best Sunday brunch of all time. Wow
Love the food and the live Jazz music!
