The wait staff was amazing! We stayed a little late because we had a big party and they didn’t not seem frustrated or bothered and were excellent with everything! They had amazing attitudes and were so on top of it! One gentleman even sang a special birthday song for my son! They made our celebration so special! We appreciated them very much! Thank you!

We ended up sitting in the bar, our choice, to hear the live music. The guitar player was the highlight of this restaurant experience WHEN He was playing. He spent too much time talking to people at the bar over the microphone. The salad was good. The zucchini blossoms were terrible. The tempura batter too thick and they tasted like old grease. Great location when you are staying at the hotel

Great experience. Food and service excellent. The Lobster Bisque was sinfully rich and may have been the best ever tasted. Snapper with Diablo was sooo delicious. But be forewarned it’s spicy! Grouper was top notch. Food was so good we never made it to dessert.

We found a new Tarpon Bay restaurant this year, and in spite of past disappointment, decided to try it again, knowing there had been much time out into renovating. It is more than setting that has been worked on, for the food and presentation has become worthy of repeat future visits. The staff, as well. There is a new bend-over-backwards attitude, and also a well-deserved pride in what they offer guests. Our party of six was unanimous in deciding we’d return often. Several suggested the offerings would be worthy of those Michelin stars. Keep up the wonderful work, Tarpon Bay!

Josh was our server and he was great. He went above and beyond for us. The entire staff from the host to the servers and runners was amazing, they were very respectful and professional! The food was delicious so good we had to go back for a second night in a row.

Jason our server was amazing and had the best recommendations for food. The pork chop with the goat cheese and gnocchi was the best out of what we ordered, but the filet and the bacon wrapped grouper were both amazing as well. The drinks were delish and the favorite out of our group was the creamy espresso martini. We also had the seasonally cobbler (blueberry) and the triple chocolate cake. All perfect!

We had a lovely dinner at Tarpon Bay. The 8oz filet was cooked to perfection and so tasty. Some of us had the Salmon and they said that it was wonderful. The waitstaff was very attentive. We finished with the key lime pie that didn't disappoint! Will we definitely dine there again and highly recommend it to those who have yet to try it!!

Off season in SWFL so it was kind of empty. I can see this place being EXTREMELY busy in season. Food was good, service very good. Highly recommend anything with the Diablo sauce they make in house. Nice kick and great flavor with any fish!

Another spectacular dinner at Tarpon Bay! We started with the rock shrimp & chorizo and the short rib raviolis - both outstanding. For meals we had the scallops, sea bass special, salmon and snapper diablo - we all ate nearly our entire meals as they were prepared and cooked to perfection. Looking forward to our next visit.

We went in for the "Seafood Treasures" prix fixe special, only it turned out that the entree was a petit filet with a single shrimp. Apparently diners are to really treasure that one shrimp as it is the only thing on the special dinner that actually came from the sea. So, we all backed into other seafood entrees and started with the cerviche. Everything was delicious. Honestly, this special was a rare miss for Tarpon Bay. We can always depend on the restaurant for delicious fish, good service and a nice atmosphere. In fact, walking through the resort to get to the restaurant gives you a taste of being on vacation.

Just Don’t Go! Save your time and money. Ambience was disappointing - starting with seating us at a table facing a wall (when many other tables were available), and a not so very friendly waitress until it was time for the tip. Probably some of the worst food we have eaten ever. We ordered a total of 5 dishes. Each one worse than the last. Soggy and visibly greasy calamari that was squishy with the breading falling off, burrata that was cold and not creamy and berries just thrown on top, zucchini flowers that had what looked like frozen shredded cheese that was just thrown on top, mussels that were small, undercooked, with a sauce that was repulsive, with stale grilled bread, a $60 filet that arrived very late and was low quality and not cooked to the temp requested, grilled potatoes with over dried cheese on top, a mixed drink that was made up of mostly water and ice, and a $15 glass of wine that tasted like it came from a $6 bottle. The bread and olive tapenade was the best thing on the table.

My family and I dined at Tarpon Bay on Saturday, June 24. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the staff (both front and back of the house) who accommodated my son. My son is 6 and has extreme (potentially deadly) allergies. We don’t go out often because explaining his allergies is rather embarrassing as we don’t want to put additional pressure on the staff. My family came to town and wanted to go to dinner, so I recalled our past experiences staying and dining at Hyatt and decided to make a reservation at Tarpon Bay. The server (and Chef Justin) went above and beyond to accommodate my son and make sure he was safe. Additionally, they made our requests seem ‘normal’ and like they were happy to accommodate us and like it was ‘no problem at all.’ It is very special for my son to get to order at a restaurant, as his experiences have been extremely limited. My parents lit up with joy seeing the joy on my face (not having to cook for him for just onnnne night 😉) and the joy on Ben’s face.

Three of the five entrees we had were excellent. The appetizers were average, ravioli with short ribs, shrimp and chorizo. The grouper cheeks appetizer was excellent but a very small portion. One of our water glasses was chipped and had lipstick on it. The server kept getting confused about the meals, the special, and repeated herself several times. She seems scattered and nervous and dropped a few things on the floor near our table. We were on the outside patio. The Snapper Diablo was amazing and the rice and sauce were a perfect compliment. The bacon wrapped grouper was okay, a bit dry and the cream sauce under the fish was soupy-like. For $350+ it seemed too pricey but it was still an overall worthwhile experience. I am not sure we would go back though.

The bread was great as was the wine. The food was very bland and disappointing. We read the high reviews and were expecting great food. We had the salmon and the filet. Both were bland. We would not go here again. The server was very nice as was all the staff we came in contact with.

We have eaten here previously-good experience in the past. Management made a poor decision to enclose the screen porch. No ambiance- so noisy you couldn’t talk or hear. Food was overpriced for the quality. Probably won’t be back. Brad
