Tarpon Bay at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa

My only complaint was that it was my anniversary and left instructions to have a rose at the table, and it was missed completely
It was a top level experience for our anniversary. From the host to the waiter and through the full evening it was great.
My wife and I were staying at Coconut Plantation and heard about Tarpon Bay Buffet. We were not disappointed. Excellent food great service by Jason.
Nice convenient setting if you’re staying at the Hyatt. Food was mediocre in quality compared to the price. Overpriced in my opinion compared to better restaurants in the area.
The food was prepared perfectly at our last trip to the Tarpon Bay at the Hyatt Regency Coconut point resort and spa. The Grouper and the Salmon were fantastic. The Cerviche was so good as well. Fit for Foodies. Jason was very attentive as our server/waiter
Dinner with good friends and clients
Absolutely outstanding! Let's keep this a secret...one of SWFs finest dining experiences! My family loved it, also would be great for larger parties as well as romantic dinners..they are amazing! Loved the Tarpon Thai Shrimp. Super wine list too!
Excellent brunch. Josh was a great server. Had a very good time.
Great food and service
Celebrating our 47th anniversary with friends and family. The snapper we had was outstanding. The service made the evening special. Only mistake made was not booking early enough to reserve the captains table. We had 8 people and had to sit at a long table making it hard to have conversations with everyone.
Tarpon Bay is our special goto brunch place. The Sunday Brunch is great for us raw bar seafood lovers, oysters, shrimp, and crab claws are fresh and cold. Sushi, smoked fish, exotic fruit, cheeses, and deserts compliment the entrée order selection on the menu. We are fresh food fanatics and Tarpon Bay meets our every expectation.
The place was hard to find, most servers were not very professional, the buffet was small and cluttered and awkward, the chairs were heavy and loud, the table layout was awkward, the food was pretty good, And the hotel was beautiful.
While tis brunch is a bit pricey, it is worth every penny.
The food was excellent, fresh and beautiful presented! The staff was great and accommodating!
Ambiance just beautiful
Brunch food quality was disappointing or $50 PP. The buffett was OK, but the entrees, particularly the chicken and waffles, were well below expectations. The fish entree comes with some french fries-nothing else-but the filet was good.
Anniversary dinner. Food was fantastic... there was a large party a few tables down with loud children. They’re should be a separate area for parties over 10. Wasn’t exactly cozy for us as we had to listen to other people’s children.
My wife and had dinner here on July 11 while in Bonita Beach for a conference. I had the St Augustine Stew and she had grouper. Both were outstanding. If you go try the cornbread. It comes as a loaf and is outstanding. We had a table in the dining room next to one of the many windows and the view was nice. Service was excellent. Highly recommended!
Wonderful assortment at the self-serve buffet, including sushi, oysters, shrimp, duck breast, salmon, home-baked rolls, salads. Good choices for the main meal, and all the while free-flowing bubbly (OK, not the best brand, but very drinkable). Excellent, attentive, and pleasant service!
This place is expensive. Be prepared. The dinners were good, but size was smaller than expected. Waitress did say presentation of food is important. Family of 4 and my check was over 240. Location right next to the Hyatt is good and that’s why we chose it.
Server was Lisa and she was fantastic as was her support staff. Lisa was very knowledgeable about the menu, had great recommendations and was very griendly. We had our kids and they were treated fantastic. Food was fantastic. From apps to main entrees there wasn't a misstep all night. We will return and if you go ask for Lisa
Ambiance was very nice. Service was mediocre (our server was very nice but not very fast). My $45 bone in ribeye barely had flavor (minimal marbling, wasn't seasoned). My friends crab legs were barely warm, almost cold. Caesar salad was dry with barely any dressing. They were happy to bring more. They brought the manager over and he took off half the price for the crab (my friend ate it, so that was more than fair). I didn't mention the issue with my steak. I don't expect this is a typical experience and would go back another time and order something different.
Wonderful service from Jason and delicious food- our party had the filet mignon, the tuna and risotto!
Excellent seafood-centered Sunday brunch. Buffet plus entree ordered off the menu. Perfect service, not crowded, nice soft live music. We will be back.
Anniversary brunch. Seafood, Bellinis and pastry dishes were to die for.
The food was absolutely delicious! Grilled swordfish, Rockefeller risotto, scallops, filet minon etc..Key lime pie! The wine was great but $80 for a bottle of Santa Margarita is outrageous!
Not enough good choice on the menu in confront of the one during season even dessert buffet so limited
Outstanding food quality. Poor ambiance or no ambiance. Very poor service and screaming kids! Will not return even though the food quality and flavor was outstanding. Small portions, too small for $45 entree.
A bit pricey, but overall a nice way to celebrate Father’s Day. Our server, Sue, was wonderful!!!
The ambiance and food are excellent. The last two times we have been here, the service has been slow. It appears that they have reduced the size of the wait staff. I had to ask several times for a coffee refill. It took 45 minutes to receive our main course after we completed our entrees. Great food, however.
Beautiful and delicious food to celebrate our first anniversary!
My daughter and I went there for the three course price fixe menu for restaurant week. We didn't order any drinks or appetizers and we were there 2 hours. It took Aden hour for us to get our food. Apparently our ticket got lost or behind a big party. Our server kept apologizing and thanking us for being patient. After 6 times of that I went and got the manager. This was after one hour. It didn't get better from there. They did offer us afree glass of wine. We waited and waited and waited for a to go box and our check and the dessert that came with our meal. Again I went and got the manager and said just forget the dessert, I just want to get out of here. They comped our meal. I would still never go back..
We traveled here last year, from Windermere, FL, for Father's Day and were very excited to eat here again after a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, we were not as impressed. The food quality has gone down significantly. The buffet was good but not great. The entrees we received were disappointing. I ordered the lobster roll which came with a greasy, over saturated in butter, small roll with very minimal pieces of lobster. Not a classic lobster roll. My husband ordered the eggs benedict. The eggs were over cooked and dish was bland. Presentation was horrible. My sons had the steak and eggs and the grouper. Both were just mediocre. Not sure if we will return next yr.
Had a fantastic time took the wife there for her birthday for Sunday brunch. Starting off with endless mimosas you can't beat that and top it off with some delicious food and some soft jazz, great ambiance. Jason took good care of us and he was very attentive and detail-oriented, nice touch...definitely will be back again.
Delicious food and a beautiful setting! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We had a special 4 course meal with a bottle of wine that was fantastic. Loved the tuna ceviche, house salad, fillet and grilled snapper all followed with a fresh fruit shortcake. Delicious.
After securing a reservation a week earlier, my wife and I were put at a table outside on the porch. ( nothing available in the airconditioned dining room, I guess) The temp. Was above 90 degrees and humid. Being close to 80 years old made it very uncomfortable to enjoy dinner, (unhealthy also). The salad included a 6 inch hair. Also, kokomy cocktail had a smaller hair. Since we were there to celebrate my wife's 79th birthday, we tried to make the best of the evening. BUT, NEVER AGAIN.
Jason our server was top notch
We have gone many times to Tarpon Bay and loved it. This time they sat us in a booth and it was SO loud. Food was good, service was great. We will go back as we live nearby however won’t sit near the kitchen area again.
