Daughter got engaged
Service was excellent. Being Italian myself and a pretty good cook I find it difficult to find restaurants have Italian food that live up to the standards I grew up with. The food at Tarantino’s definitely exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend
A restaurant we often go to but sadly on this night two of our steaks were charred – one we had to send back for being over cooked and the service was subpar. We sat there several times with empty water glasses.
I will 100% recommend this place, and have already started to! Ambiance was great, and service was very attentive, but they allowed us to take our time and enjoy ourselves (which is what we like - we were not rushed one bit!). Half price bottles of wine on tuesdays is a bonus! The lighting and music were spot-on, and I'm excited to try it again (especially when the outdoor seating opens up). My boyfriend and I both loved this place :) Thumbs up!
My favorite restaurant in Chicago!!!
Never disappoints!
We had a small group of 6 for a birthday celebration. The food across the board was very good to outstanding. Bella, the server was great. Very attentive and good with recommendations. A fun evening was had by all.
Fabulous dinner. We have never been disappointed with a meal at Tarantino's - it's always great. We had a group of 7 people, and everyone enjoyed their meal, the service was great, lovely ambiance, and valet parking is a big plus.
Good all around experience. The service was attentive if a little strange. We will go back.
Great neighborhood spot. The dining room is warm and inviting. A must for summer dining outside.
Overall a fantastic experience. Beautiful interior, inspiring menu, friendly servers.
Always a great experience - delicious food, great wine, wonderful staff! One of our favorite spots!
Great. Exceeded expectations.
We love this place, great food, great service, great atmosphere, and very close to great prices!!
It was delicious! And the restaurant went out of their way to accommodate us when there was a mix up with our reservation.
Amazing and creative food.
Always outstanding. Favorite neighborhood place!
Am a regular was so disappointed with service this time.
We had a really wonderful time last night celebrating my parents Anniversary and ours upcoming. Our waitress (Brooke I believe?) was lovely and incredibly fun to interact with. All of the recommendations she provided were taken and as a treat, we did not skip out on the dessert. :)
Meal recs: Beet salad, pork chop (very good), fusilli, and the bread pudding. Wine selections are also great...so just get the bottle!
Tuesday’s are half off bottles of wine. You can also do half orders of pasta dishes- a great way to try multiple items!
Overall was very excited about this place, but ended up a bit disappointed by the experience. The meal started well, we had some Pasta and Salad to share as a table of 6 of us. This came fairly quick after ordering. Then there was about a 45 minute delay from that course until the entrees came. This would have been fine if the food was great, fresh, and hot. That said, the food came out and was not hot for 5/6 of the table. It was almost as though they forgot to put something in and had it sitting on a head lamp. The plate was hot, but food was lukewarm and the skin on my Wife's fish as intended was not crispy, etc. Overall was disappointed and unfortunately will not make it back. I see other folks have had great experiences, so hope this was just a one off.
First time diners. Great ambiance. Seated immediately. Excellent service. Large old-school Italian-American portions. Pastas were great. Caesar salad only fair. Sent back fried calamari because it was very chewy/ rubbery. Replaced with muscles which were terrific. Nice wine list. Would definitely return.
Great night celebrating for my sons birthday!
Great place and great environment for nice quiet dinner conversation - we love the service, the atmosphere & the cuisine.
Fun! We lived the food and atmosphere. Cozy and delicious!
Food was below average. Atmosphere was nice. Service was okay, it waitress shut down every entree choice until I ordered what she wanted me to order. 2/10.
Small nice restaurant in a quaint neighborhood. Gotta get the bread and dipping oil. Drinks tasty. Wait staff attentive.
Food and service was fantastic as usual.
We had a great dinner, thanks to our server Julie. When faced with deciding between too many appealing pasta options, she advised that we could get 1/2 orders of each, so we ended up with a little "tasting menu" of our own! Along with a well-recommended bottle of red zinfandel, it was a wonderful meal.
Great food, good location. Anywhere the mob hangs out is good food.
Everything was good until they moved our table during the middle of our meal
We had not been to Tarrantino's for several years but was always a favorite when visiting our daughter when she lived in Chicago and it did not disappoint! The food, the cocktails, the service was the best! The lobster ravioli was amazing as were the crab cakes! We were so happy we chose to dine there on our recent visit to Chicago.
Wonderful neighborhood restsurant. Elegant but not stuffy. GREAT staff. Lots of "regulars" are a testament to how consistently good the food and service is.
My wife and I visited there on a cold Chicago Saturday evening. We were greeted promptly and shown to our table. The wait staff was diligent, but not intrusive.
My wife had the Caesar salad and risotto special, which she enjoyed. I had the fried calamari appetizer and the osso bouco, both were great. My only fault was the mashed potatoes were a little thin, but that was only a minor point.
Overall a very good place for a nice dinner.
Amazing!! We loved it. Service was excellent as was the food.
Food was delicious. Service was excellent. There is valet parking which is very important.
Good wine. A wonderful experience.
Nice neighborhood place, good service good drinks. Loads of pasta to take home but food is mediocre.
I have eaten there several times, and it's always been amazing! Food is delicious! This was my first time dining outside, it was such a nice evening and we enjoyed the outside atmosphere! Thanks again for a delightful evening!
A great Lincoln Park neighborhood restaurant, perfect for all year round dining but summer is best with the sidewalk dining option. Wine selection is good and menu selections are varied so there’s something for everyone I’m sure.
Service is always great and food is always delicious. My favorites are the Farfalle pasta with spinach and smoked chicken, the cowboy steak and the rack of lamb...Delicious!
We always enjoy dining at Tarantinos. They had several specials which we sampled. All were great.
my experience was very rushed!! We sat down to have a nice meal, ordered drinks and a appetizer. In 3 minutes all was out. I told the waitress that we were not in a rush and to slow down. She said no problem.(the restaurant was 3/4 full with nobody waiting). She then asked if we would like to order the main course. I responded that we would but please spread it out over time. I emphasized we were not in a rush. the 2nd course to split a pasta dish was out in 5 minutes. We still hadn't finished our 2 appetizers. then the main course came about 5 minutes later. the meal was ruined by then. We didn't even order a 2nd drink. the food was ok but crammed so fast. Also, the oso buco was a very small serving(but tasty). We were out in 50 minutes!! The waitress said that everyone was leaving to see the Mayweather Fight. We were leaving because they rushed us out. VERY DISAPPOINTING!
