Our waitress did not give us information about the prix fixed menu. We discovered it after our meal was over. It cost us an additional $50 and we ordered the very same entree, soup and dessert. Not awesome customer service by far.

First time at Sunday brunch there. Hot Food was dried out and cold (nasty home style potatoes, the syrup for pancakes was a mess). The taste was bland. The only things good were the stir fry - made to order and was hot, eggs and bananas foster we ordered from the kitchen and the coffee. Love Lavaza coffee. Oh and it’s so awe full to have to peel and clean your own shrimp at a buffet. I bet there are more wasted than you realize. We thought we could do it but.... ended up wasting 5 or 10 shrimp because of the hassel. It was a total waste of money and I won’t be back.

I have been here before but it was a first for Sunday Brunch. I was disappointed with the food and service. There were lines for the buffets and they ran out of food and were delayed in refilling the servers.

We were celebrating birthdays for the price of the brunch, compared to the food it was not worth it. I really enjoy this place for lunch and/or dinner; but don’t think I’ll make it point to come back for the brunch.

I’ve been to taps Brea at least 20 times and normally very impressed... we went last Saturday and it definitely did not live up to their normal standards. The fish and chips were soggy, the rockfish was mealy, just seemed very rushed due to the fact they were busy...disappointing.

The food was really good and different from our normal night out. Everything we had, from appetizer to dessert was really tasty. Our server was not very good. We had to constantly ask for things as she did not check on us very often. It took 20 minutes to get a drink from the bar. This was not a bar issue as we could see our drinks sitting there waiting for her to pick them up. The “bus boy” was very attentive. He filled our water glasses on a regular basis and he asked if we wanted bread, not our waitress.

Great spot for a date night! I had the filet sliders! So good! Wife had the squash pizza. The charcuterie sampler was a bit disappointing though (a little small), but taste was good as usual.

After years of generally good to very good experiences, we experienced some reasons to not return. Raw oysters not fresh. Water glasses not refilled. Had a nice piece of snapper overwhelmed by a tsunami of unsubtle cooked veggies. Server must have been overwhelmed also as we saw her only after the meal was served. After finishing dinner and a 20 minute wait, had to go to the kitchen entrance to find someone to take our check. Too bad!

Taps is in a strange category. It is a brewery but the food options and prices are high enough that you would expect a finer meal. It would be great if it was either a great brewery with great pub food that was moderatley prices, or they put more focus into their food quality. As an example, their “additions” and “enhancements” should just be part of the standard item you order even if at a higher price.

Me, family and friends go to TAPS for Sunday Brunch several times a year, it is consistently good, the staff is friendly, the food in most cases is hot when it should be hot and cold for items that need to be cold, the variety is great, something for everyone.

Have been to Taps Sunday brunch and lunch & have always had a good experience. We feel, however, dinner entrees were pricey and just mediocre. From a value standpoint, it’s also surprising that this California based restaurant charges such high prices for its California wines. High quality wines at much lower pricing are readily available in O.C.

Food is always delicious and portions are just right. My husband and I love this place. Can get noisy when it’s at full capacity but, if you dine early it’s perfect.

I've been eating at Taps for years. Most often my husband and I will sit in the bar or outside. It seems like every time I make reservations, they try and seat us in the small, front room. This Friday night we asked them to please seat us in the main dining room as they took us to the other room where tables for two large (app 10) parties were set up. So they did move us to the main dining room to a table in the middle of the room that looked like it was squeezed in there. Parties of two with reservations often do not get the booths or decent seating. That is my only complaint. Food is always delicious!

$250 bought the 4 of us a freezing cold table, a need to request bread 4 times before it actually came and the meal was almost over, and we had to get up to leave to get the dessert we ordered to take home, so as not to miss our movie. I hope this reminds me not go back. The jambalaya had no spice, the sauce on the steak was weird, and we were promised berries in the to-go-bag with our cheesecake, but they were not included. Very disappointing. No wonder the restaurant was practically empty. Too much money for mediocre food and service that tells me they don't have enough people . The waiter was nice, but seemed stressed over all the tables he had to cover. I blame that on the restaurant, not the waiter.
