Great server
Friday night, parking was a challenge but luckily wasn't difficult to secure a reservation for 5... Food was good. For appetizers, we had three types of dip and the cheese board ... Delish!! Noise level was fine since our table more likely competed with the other patrons'. Service was good as well, catered to our needs. Overall, a splendid time with friends as well as an early birthday celebration where the celebrant received a crème brulee to her ultimate dessert joy 🤣
We’ve been here a few times but our friends that accompanied us had never been before. They were thoroughly impressed with the food and the service. We will definitely be back soon.
Chris was an excellent server, and the food was great. We had a decent sized party, and everything went smoothly for my wife’s birthday.
Anniversary. Great service and food.
Excellent as always. I was hesitant to get a burger at a fish house, but it was probably the best burger I've had in years.
The food, service and the atmosphere were excellent. We brought our out-of-town friends there for their first time (my wife and I have eaten at Taps many times) and they were thoroughly impressed. We will continue to bring our friends there for years to come.
You cannot go wrong with taps. The service is great. The food is awesome and atmosphere is excellent
We were meeting friends and made reservation for 4 early evening. We were greeted immediately ... very friendly; looked and saw that our friends arrived earlier and then sat us right away. The server was friendly and extremely efficient but not instrusive. (know what I mean? ) I eat Paleo, and TAPS is one of the best restaurants to create! I had grilled salmon with seasoned spaghetti squash and fresh asparagus. It was delicious and perfectly prepared! The other three ate right off the menu. My ! fillet was cooked perfectly, tender juicy and supberb! We had a great evening!
Very expensive for what you get ($142 for lunch for 3 people with 1 beer). Limited lunch menu.
Food horrible. Greasy and made me very sick. And for a birthday and they did nothing. Spent 80 bucks for two people at lunch and not even a scoop of ice cream with a candle. And messed up food orders had three waitresses that all kept asking same questions. Would not go back unless for a drink only.
We have been to TAPS a few times, and it has been a pleasant experience. I would definitely bring the bank with you. You will not find much value on the menu and most items you can easily find elsewhere at lower cost. I ordered a special, not on the menu, that included, a 5oz flat iron steak, herb risotto, crab claw, and broccolini. The cost was $48.50 and I while I enjoyed the risotto, the steak had gravy on it that really stole the intended flavor of steak and the crab claw was quite small. In the end, small steak, small crab claw with a large ticket. We also ordered the special dessert (Red velvet cake with a cream cheese sauce) and you must order it 30 minutes ahead, which we did. We had other plans that evening and the dessert made us late. The manager offered and did remove the dessert from our bill. In summary, I am not against spending good money for good food. But as a group, we agreed that the quality of the meal did not match the prices. Plan to spend $50 a person to have dinner here or get the same food elsewhere at a much lower cost.
Almost everything was great. Just unlucky that it happened to be some cigar group’s regular gathering night and the smoke seeped into the dining room. It was strong enough to irritate those who are sensitive to smoke. Staff did offer to move us.
We had wonderful service as soon as we walked in the front door to our waitress snd her assistants.
Our family dined at TAPS to celebrate my husbands retirement. Our experience sadly was not that great. The waiter was not attentive and four our of six meals were terrible. Two guests actually got sick. We have eaten at this location at times so we were shocked at the bad service and poor quality meals. I had to send my meal back because it was so under cooked I could not eat it. We were in one of the smaller dining rooms and while we can appreciate you can’t control rude guest who talk and laugh at the top of his/her lungs it just made the experience worse because we could not talk to each other at all.
Food was Great !!! King Crab was perfect!! Table was very nice and roomy.
We met up with six of our close friends for a fun get together in your beautiful lounge and ended with a magnificent dinner in the restaurant. Five star evening.
The food was amazing, as usual. Especially loved the pretzels with cheese sauce and the chocolate olive oil cake. Our server was so friendly, of course. It's always a treat to go to TAPS. :)
I won’t return to this location. Our server Brian was distant, cold, unhelpful, and rude. He made my husband and I feel like trash. We are part of and related to many in the service industry but he treated us like less than and that we weren’t worth his time. Food was good, as always. Will not return to this location as I said but I’ve only ever had spectacular service at the Irvine location.
This place has changed over the years in my opinion but one thing that remains is the food is STELLAR! I do not know of another restaurant in the Inland Empire that is as consistently this good. I think they may be out of most people's price range for a casual meal, but for a special occasion I would recommend Taps to everyone! They craft their own beer too. I am a huge fan of their Sunday brunch, but again- it's pricey at more than $30 per person.
My husband and I went for our 37 year anniversary.
Our waitress was overly friendly, a bit fake, and seemed odd when we didn’t want to order salad or soup or wine.
Nobody ever mentioned our anniversary.
When you reserve on open table it asks if it’s a
Special occasion. Nobody recognized that at all.
Made reservations and when we arrived, a group discussion about where to seat us (dressed nice for date night dinner), and we were walked through the resturaunt to the back patio! Loud, mostly large families with children. We walked away and choose to have our date night meal in the Bar area instead. Reservations for what?
This was the second time we have been to this Taps location and we were not disappointed. We had a reservation to seating was not a problem. The service was timely and our waiter was pleasant. My steak was very good and my wife enjoyed the fish & chips. I especially like that since I brought a bottle of wine that they do not carry the corking fee was only ten dollers. It was a good experience and we will return.
Restaurant facility is nice. Alex was an excellent waiter - perfect timing and knowledge of the menu. Busser was very efficient and nice, too. Bar personnel were helpful and quick. A very good experience.
Great evening. Good food, great service!
The service is always great! The food this time not so good! Mine had no flavor, my husbands was to spicy.
Great service and food!! My wife had the crab legs and they were the sweetest I had tasted in a long time. Highly recommended.
First of all , This was a business meeting . I took some people that was from Ohio .
Server was Good , but ,,, when our meals came out , the one that was serving the plates was not sure where each one went ( 3 of us) , I made a comment about how I got the smallest steak of all ( Ribeye ) I took one bite of steak and it was good , then I started to take another bite and the Manager ( I think she was ) took my plate and said I got the wrong one . She said Sorry and another plate came out in about 3 minutes or so . This steak was the Ribeye but it was Well Done . I ordered my steak Med-Rare ...
I told my guests I really don't complain , but I could not eat the Well Done Steak (very dry) . We waited for our server to come by which took a very long time . When we finally got his attention I told him this steak was Well Done , He did take it right away and said he was sorry . In a few minutes the Manager came back by our table and said , first i was giving the wrong Steak then the new one was Well done , I'm sorry for that . She offer me a desert or a drink for the mix-up . I declined the offer , Finally my New Steak came out in another 10 - 15 minutes . My guests were done with their meal before the steak came out . What i did was cut the steak to make sure it was right and then I had them boxed it up . For the cost of our meal and for what happened , a drink or desert ? really !!
Great food and service
The dining area is quiet compared to the bar area. Always try to sit in booth. For more intimate setting
Started with the hostess extremely rude & sat us outside & at a very drafty table, my martini didn't come with any olives & the top serlion was served with hashbrowns, my dinner came out last making my husband & kids wait to start eating. service was super slow we didn't make out movie time. Overall was so disappointed
Nice but not great. Food was good, sauce for calamari was excellent. Entrees were soso. Server was sweet, although long time between stopping by with only 3 other groups in restaurant
The service was outstanding, and so was the meal. I had the chefs special of the evening and it was very good. We'll be back for sure.
Excellent! Miguel is great. Having a wine locker there makes it more special. Greg our waiter was fantastic as well.
Taps is usually a great evening out, but this evening seemed very slow for service. Restaurant was not too busy. Also, restaurants bar could not make a drink due to being out of the liquor. Also, they forgot to bring out our bread...we were craving bread.
This was a favorite place but it's now more overpriced than delicious. I got the newer shrimp dinner, something similar is offered at Corner Bakery Cafe for a third of the price. 5 shrimp on a dinner costing almost $30, not impressive and to make it worse they were overcooked. Luckily my husband loved his salmon and enjoyed his beer. We were hoping for something special on Halloween, but here it was just another night.
We used to come once a month guaranteed. Now we come just a few times a year. Just not as wonderful and not as worth the price anymore.
It was good, but way o deprived for substandard food and service.
Taps is the best fine dining restaurant in the local area. We eat at Taps about once a month and always have a pleasant dining experience there.
We've been going to Taps, since they opened, (Brea and Corona) We remember how fantastic brunch used to be! A live band, necklaces, beignets, it was amazing! Now, it's nice, but needs improvement. So many foods needed replenishment, each time we went to the buffet. The manager is very nice, but she looks like a patron, instead of a manager. When she asked me if I needed anythhing, I didn't know what to say! I thought she was a guest, from another table!!! The bathroom had no toilet paper, so no one is taking care of that department. We will continue to go to Taps, because it's great sometimes, and have been going since the Brea location opened. Corona Taps is a great location! That's why we'll be back!
No Shrimp was available, and you have to pay an additional $8.99 for a half pound of crab legs. For $36.99 it should all be included. We were very disappointed
Food is good but over priced, one of our dishes was burnt and my after dinner coffee tasted bitter and old. Service was good.
