We’ve always loved this place. We don’t have one in Texas but frequently visit when we are in California. Great food and always great service! Easily one of our favorite places!
The weather was extremely hot and the restaurant inside was uncomfortable. It was very difficult to enjoy fabulous food when you're dripping with beads of sweat running downyour face. The response is the air conditioning is on it just can't keep up, not an appropriate response. The managers know what it's like there they should make arrangements to have fans brought in. They know the weather is hot. For crying out loud we live in the desert.
Food was Delicious, service was GREAT in the restaurant (not so much the bar) . We were there on a very hot day and the temperature inside could have been much cooler for comfort. Sadly enough, the noise level got higher as large groups came in and destroyed the romantic atmosphere. But, overall a good experience and I would go back!
nice ambiance , food could be better. The asian salad was so so. Calamari OK nothing to rave about.
Food was bland, menu is well put together but was not replicated on the plate. Service is good as always.

We went for our anniversary and the meal was good but the prices were a bit overboard for the quality of the food.
I think you have a nice restaurant, server was very nice and attentive . Food was average, not over the top for the price I paid.

I was very disappointed, the service was terrible. We were asked what we were drinking 5 times and no one followed through. Our meal was over cooked and the I was only given two shrimp in my jambalaya. The rice was over cooked and was the majorly of my meal. We has ceiviche that was over sauced and tasted terrible. Dessert didn’t get much better and the service got worse as our waiter never checked on us.
Overall great service. A few issues with the kitchen taking to long and you could tell some of the food had sat under the heating lamp too long but managed and our server made up for it and then some which was very much appreciated.

Our party of four was uncomfortably warm the whole time we were there. I ordered the signature Chilean Sea Bass and the rice was dried out and crusty on the bottom. Very disappointing. In the past, Taps was reliably good, but of late we’ve had a number of unsatisfactory visits.
Decided to go to this restaurant just because I’d never been before and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The food and service was amazing.
We kept pushing our reservation back due to graduation ceremony overruns. We finally got there at 8pm. The place was very busy and it took a long time to get a drink and appetizer order. Once things got rolling the service and food were excellent. They took their time bringing out the courses which would normally have been fine but then they started pushing us as the kitchen wanted to close....not our fault folks, appreciate the time between courses but that was you not us. Anyway it was a great meal with great ambiance and service. Oh at almost $100 bucks for steak n lobster it was a big enough portion to share between 2 people so the value was there...:)

I requested the captain’s table to celebrate two birthdays. They said someone requested it before me. I have no way of knowing if that was true. Instead they showed our party to a particularly bad table. Next time I would like to talk to someone.
We celebrated Mother’s Day on Saturday and everything was wonderful. Joseph was our waiter and was very attentive! We will be back!
It was very busy, as I’ve heard it mostly is. Brunch was good. We made reservations and I was unaware that we needed to request an inside table, it was a bit chilly outside but not too bad. The hostess who sat us seemed a bit rude when my parents asked about an inside table. Told us we would have to wait 25-40 mins if we wanted one. So just a heads up if you prefer inside seating you must request with a reservation. The deviled eggs tasted metallic, not sure if it was the prep bowl but it was very strong and awful. The seafood was decent. Shrimp had to be peeled and deveined. Other than that it was nice. Bottomless mimosas definitely made the day!!
Everything was wonderful. The only thing I don’t get is for such a beautiful restaurant and amazing food you’d think updating the way outdated and stinky restrooms would be a no brainer.
I was meeting my girlfriend's family for the first time. This is a beutiful place, great service perfect venue for formal occasions

Friday night, parking was a challenge but luckily wasn't difficult to secure a reservation for 5... Food was good. For appetizers, we had three types of dip and the cheese board ... Delish!! Noise level was fine since our table more likely competed with the other patrons'. Service was good as well, catered to our needs. Overall, a splendid time with friends as well as an early birthday celebration where the celebrant received a crème brulee to her ultimate dessert joy 🤣
We’ve been here a few times but our friends that accompanied us had never been before. They were thoroughly impressed with the food and the service. We will definitely be back soon.
Chris was an excellent server, and the food was great. We had a decent sized party, and everything went smoothly for my wife’s birthday.

Excellent as always. I was hesitant to get a burger at a fish house, but it was probably the best burger I've had in years.
The food, service and the atmosphere were excellent. We brought our out-of-town friends there for their first time (my wife and I have eaten at Taps many times) and they were thoroughly impressed. We will continue to bring our friends there for years to come.
You cannot go wrong with taps. The service is great. The food is awesome and atmosphere is excellent
We were meeting friends and made reservation for 4 early evening. We were greeted immediately ... very friendly; looked and saw that our friends arrived earlier and then sat us right away. The server was friendly and extremely efficient but not instrusive. (know what I mean? ) I eat Paleo, and TAPS is one of the best restaurants to create! I had grilled salmon with seasoned spaghetti squash and fresh asparagus. It was delicious and perfectly prepared! The other three ate right off the menu. My ! fillet was cooked perfectly, tender juicy and supberb! We had a great evening!
Very expensive for what you get ($142 for lunch for 3 people with 1 beer). Limited lunch menu.
Food horrible. Greasy and made me very sick. And for a birthday and they did nothing. Spent 80 bucks for two people at lunch and not even a scoop of ice cream with a candle. And messed up food orders had three waitresses that all kept asking same questions. Would not go back unless for a drink only.
We have been to TAPS a few times, and it has been a pleasant experience. I would definitely bring the bank with you. You will not find much value on the menu and most items you can easily find elsewhere at lower cost. I ordered a special, not on the menu, that included, a 5oz flat iron steak, herb risotto, crab claw, and broccolini. The cost was $48.50 and I while I enjoyed the risotto, the steak had gravy on it that really stole the intended flavor of steak and the crab claw was quite small. In the end, small steak, small crab claw with a large ticket. We also ordered the special dessert (Red velvet cake with a cream cheese sauce) and you must order it 30 minutes ahead, which we did. We had other plans that evening and the dessert made us late. The manager offered and did remove the dessert from our bill. In summary, I am not against spending good money for good food. But as a group, we agreed that the quality of the meal did not match the prices. Plan to spend $50 a person to have dinner here or get the same food elsewhere at a much lower cost.
