They had run out of multiple items from their drink menu. When the server came back to tell, she only asked one person what they would like instead, even though 2 other people (in our party of 8) had ordered the same drink. Our food items were all brought out at different times, even though we had all ordered items from the tappas menu and one item we had to ask about because it never came out. 2 people in our party had to ask multiple times for utensils. The server never came back to see if our order was correct. There was live music (that was fantastic) but it was loud and made it very hard for any type of conversation.
Very nice, except out of certain beers
Great food❤️❤️ we made a reservation for mid afternoon on a Saturday.. sat at the bar because the table was too much of a wait(according to the hostess) the service was average-it took awhile for drink orders and everything we ordered took at least ordering two times because they don’t write anything down(pet peeve). The food was great-lamb meatballs, cheese/meat plate, garlic shrimp & steak flatbread- all exactly as expected. Would definitely revisit, but probably not on a busy Saturday because service was less than stellar when they are busy.
When making a reservation on open table it does not specify outside or inside. I booked a table in hopes that I had the option of choosing outside. When I arrived the hostess stated that "I made the reservation for inside, so I would have to be on a waiting list" I was disappointed since I thought we would have the option. I've gone before in the past and they stated that the seats outside were reserved in case someone had a reservation so they would have that option. I just think it should be made clear. Other than that great dining experience our waiter CJ was great!
This was a first time for the four of us. Our first impression was a nice vibe from walking in the door. Nice long bar, dark and cozy. I would come back for the bar atmosphere. We sat at a table in the dining room and the space had a rustic vibe. Long deep rooms like in NYC. We chose to do the tapas plates and shared the food. Lamb chops and truffle fries were our favorites. pork belly dish was deep fried but a close second. Server, Suzy was very attentive. They were constantly cleaning the plates off of our table as were emptied them. We ordered 9 plates but they don't come all at once. Sangria had at least 4 alcohols in it but flavorful and not overpowering. There is a good mix of young people and older people. Price is moderate. With a pitcher of Sangria and some glasses of wine and 9 plates, it cost roughly $150. We would come back again.
I always enjoy Tapas! They have great food and drinks, nice atmosphere, good bar, good service
Four of us went on a Friday night and had an awesome time! Our waitress was super informative, never made us feel rushed and she was super friendly too! We were there to listen to some live music and were not in a hurry to leave so we had several rounds of food as the night went on all of which we loved! Some of the most memorable were the spinach dip, the chorizo soup and the lamb meatballs...all were delicious! The cherry mint sangria, suggested by our waitress, was so refreshing! We will definitely be back again with more friends!
The salmon over a bed of lentils was the best-prepared entree I had in recent memory, anywhere. It was the "lunch" priced salmon-over-lentils entree, and it was more then ample. Can't wait to have it again.
The lighting was really low I struggled to read the menu because of this. It was a bit pricey. Overall the food was good.
I met a friend and colleague for lunch and really enjoyed the menu. It was hard to choose. I had to modify one of my choices with no issue. The good was wonderful and nicely presented. The server was attentive and professional. We had a nice lunch -- enjoyed the location, food and ambiance very much! I highly recommend!
My girlfriend and I went here for a date night. The food was great and the service was excellent.
Have been there many times. Each time with friends. Never had a bad meal. The service friendly and attentive will be going back.... live in Chester County not in Bethlehem area.
Best meal at Tapas in recent months! Tapas is always great, but the service can be a bit slow at times. This time, we dined in a packed restaurant on a Friday night and the food was all top notch, delivered faster than I had ever seen it before. The calamari was crispy, fresh, and well flavored, while the spinach tip was equally as delicious. My girlfriend and I each got a flatbread, which are the perfect size after sharing two small plates to start the meal. The sangria is always a hit, especially the Blood Orange, which I highly recommend. The restaurant can be quite loud, so don't expect to hold a private conversation over dinner. All around a great meal!
We enjoyed the ambiance and the food. The service was great...friendly, but not overbearing.
The paella was so good!
Poor and slow service
never disappoints. romantic ambiance, great energy. food is consistent and I always leave happy and full. Solid wine selection as well.
My girlfriend and I tried this restaurant for the first time for Valentine's Day. The food was good and the atmosphere was nice. Will come again.
The food is fantastic! Especially the pork chorizo meatballs and garlic shrimp! The service was very attentive..love the dark ambiance. Definitely will be returning!
Delicious Sangrias, shrimp flatbread, Pollo empanadas and croquettes 😋
Love the bacon wrapped dates!!!
Good food and drinks but the service takes a while.
My sister and I took my nephew, a Lehigh student, for lunch. Our server was lovely and the food was delicious. It was very quiet at lunchtime on a Thursday....I am eager to try outdoor/evening dining at a later time. Definitely will return.
Great food and service!
Jen of a restaurant
Needed dinner close to our hotel on night many restaurants were closed and they fit the bill nicely.
Noise level on Monday was low. We love it here.
My husband and I visit Bethlehem a few times a year, but this was our first time eating at Tapas on Main. Everything about our experience was wonderful. Great sangria, great tapas, great vibe, great service. I’m looking forward to eating there again soon!
Excellent experience once again.
We ate from the restaurant week menu this time. All the meals were cooked and presented to perfection.
Food was outstanding! We had paella and it was absolutely delicious. Service was great as well. Will definetely go back!
Joins our college son and his friends for a great visit and dinner
Had a good time
Paella was excellent
Blood orange sangria is the way to go! Food always great
Always an excellent meal and service.
Food was very good, amd our service was good, but olives should have come out with our charcuterie, and wine at room temperature is absolutely unacceptable. They seriously need cellar storage.
Tapas on Main has excellent choices of food that taste wonderful
It was my first time there and I loved it. I will definitely be back and recommend your place to everyone. Great job!
Had only eaten at Tapas on Main once before, in the summer sitting outside. But only had snacks and drinks on that occasion. Decided to try it for dinner on Sunday because, frankly, it's one of the only downtown restaurants open on Sundays. Wasn't crowded, had a nice comfortable atmosphere, wait staff was very attentive but not overbearing, and all of our plates were delicious. Will definitely be dining here again.
Everyone we talked to recommended Tapas on Main so I expected an outstanding food experience. The cheese & meat options were very good and authentic. There were three soups and all for of us opted for soup as a second course as it was cold and they sounded good. All three were excellent, lemony chicken, creamy cauliflower & hearty bean. Then we added three different tapas: the lamb meatballs were the highlight, very flavorful. But the chicken empanadas were kind of doughy and the leek/portobello fritters were pasty and gummy.
Service was ok, nothing extraordinary and the server didn’t know the beer selections well. I guess for Bethlehem it was a number one restaurant but we enjoyed Johnny’s bagels for authenticity more!
Great amazing server
Making a reservation on NYE through open table was great. However, when they call to confirm, they should have told us chef was not taken anymore orders after 10. Our reservation was at 945. We sat at 935. We were there to relax of course, stage out the coursesoon this specia night and enjoy dessert which was unavailable because we didn't order it with our food. So that part wasnt so good. However we did enjoy the food, and the music. Sangria was on pint! Cherry Mint highly recommend! Hopefully they work those couple kinks out and it doesnt happen again on a holiday. All in all 4 stars!
A wonderful night for my birthday. We have been to Tapas before and its my go to place with a larger party. Plenty of great food to sample and try. Prompt service and great drinks. The staff is amazing.
They did not let the server know we were seated so we sat at our table for ten- fifteen minutes before being waited on. We ordered immediately and it took a solid 30 minutes to get a cheese app and then about an another half hour to get our food. The waitress did not check on us much and we had to grab the manager to check on our food. Normally it is not this way but for some reason it was not my best dining experience at Tapas.
