About

This restaurant is permanently closed.

Tapas D' Jerez is a cozy restaurant that serves Spanish-style tapas. Many dishes are made to be shared, so order a few and split with your friends. This restaurant offers patio seating, plenty of free parking and a brunch buffet.

Try the papas bravas, paealla tapa for two, solomillo de cerdo en salsa de champinones or the pimientos de piquillo a la esponola tapa. Other Tapas D' Jerez specialties include the grilled pork tenderloin with mushroom sauce, cauliflower soup, shrimp and clams in garlic sauce and the Iberico ham with manchego cheese. Can't choose what to order? Get the restaurant tapas sampler, which includes eight different kinds of tapas enough to feed two. Finish your meal with a homemade dessert like the pastel de nueces. Tapas D' Jerez is good for families, small and large groups or just a night out on the town.

Was looking for something different and having never had tapas before, we decided to try. This was a weeknight before a long holiday weekend and the restaurant was semi-busy. There was no delay in getting seated and we took some time pondering the menu, there were lots of choices. The pork loin was delicious as were the lamb chops. I ordered an eggplant tapas with goat cheese, so yummy. The only tapas dish that we were dissatisfied with was the calamari, it was heavily breaded and and deep fried. We ordered a bottle of Spanish wine to accompany our meal and found it quite good. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would recommend that you give it a try.

Seems like the food was a little expensive for what we got, in my opinion. This was my first ever tapas experience. They were not busy. It's not a place to go if you are in a rush. Enjoy the experience, sip some wine and the food comes in waves. I liked that a lot.

Three of us went to this restaurant after our favorite Tapas place closed, in search of a new one but unfortunately the food was simply awful. The service was great, the ambiance nice, but of the items the three of us ordered - we just didn't like anything! And that's hard to do - we'll eat about anything. Not here.

The food was prepared well, it's just the flavors and consistency was just nasty. We were really disappointed!

Food seemed to be pre made. You could tell some of the tapas was microwaved. The chicken was tough and had no favor. It tasted like it had sat around for a few days. Most of the food tasted like leftovers. On top of that it was expensive. For example a small portion of fRied potatoes was 7 dollars. I asked for a Sam Adams but they brought me a beer that looked and tasted like a bud light. Humm.

I have been bragging to friends and family for such a long time. We went there for Mother's Day . Not only was I disappointed but also embarrassed as I brought family to the restaurant. The food was terrible, the sangria was not what it used to be and the service was absolutely awful. I will never go back again

Wow, was really disappointed in the food. Having just come back from Spain, I was hoping that the tapas would be as yummy as what we had in Seville and Granda. Unfortunately, they weren't even close :(. Everything seemed cheap quality and possibly even just frozen food reheated. The sangria was mostly juice with very little wine. All of us thought that it was was of the worst restaurant experiences ever, and quite expensive as well. I have never written a negative review but this was really not acceptable. Would not recommend.

Overall superb food and a great value but the staff and service was beyond exceptional! I will definitely visit again, and likely often. Very unexpected given the somewhat odd location and exterior appearance.

The food is fantastic and unique. The service is great. The restaurant itself is pretty inside. Only complaint I have is the TV's were on the entire time we ate dinner. I am looking for places these days that do not have the TV on while we eat. It hasn't been on other times we ate there. I hope it's not if we choose to return. I would expect this at a "pub" or "bar" not a nice restaurant. Otherwise, worth it for the food and service!

There are a few items on the menu that were tasty, the majority however were very bland and not seasoned. My family is from Cantabria and having been to Spain several times, the local restaurants all over Spain are wonderful.

Additionally the waitress was very slow, took 10 minutes to get plates after our food arrived. So the food was cold when we finally had a chance to enjoy it. Service needs a makeover.

I did like the Flamenco show, and would probably go back to see the show. Hopefully the food and service will be better.

Great entertainment! Spanish singers, dancers and guitarist were very good, different and fun! Service was slow and appeared understaffed as the people that were serving were working very hard.

We loved the food and ambiance. Our server was great, but we felt rushed towards the end. My husband and I moved to bar area to enjoy the music and Flamenco dancers after our dinner, but we were asked multiple times if there was anything else they can do for us...we felt rush to check out, so we finally did. Other than that, the place was great.

We went there for Denver Restaurant Week. The 1st small token was great, but it went downhill from there. The bread was ordinary. The appetizer of cheese and ham (cheese good, ham dried out). The vegetable soup was overwhelmed by the squash. The paella was lacking in much flavor. The dessert was ordinary. It would have cost $69 instead of the $60 we paid. The service was pretty good. All in all, though we had great hopes, we were sorely disappointed.

Didn't have our OpenTable reservation, but an early dinner (5pm) didn't need them. We were seated immediately and received a salmon mousse app that was very nice from the hostess. I was a bit confused on who our waiter was: Fransisco took our drink order, hostess delivered drinks and took our food order, so not sure who was our waiter. Ordered the sampler platter for 2 and the 1st 4 or 5 tapas dishes were great, some liked more than others but all very tasty. Seafood crepes were very good. Then we had a 30+ min wait for the last two dishes (pork and pallea) which were very good. Don't be in a hurry since an half empty restaurant took 75+ min's for a meal.

My wife and I recently enjoyed Tapas D Jerez when we used a living social special. We really enjoyed all aspects of our experience. My wife never has had Spanish cuisine before and said all the food we tried was a unique taste experience for her, as she has never had anything like it before. I always enjoy Spanish cuisine as well. To me, its the anti-chain restaurant for many American restaurants. Unique food, with different tastes, small portions, which you order as you go, no rushing to turn the table, just enjoying conversation, the tastes and the experience. Was it the best Tapas and Spanish cuisine restaurant in Denver? I have no idea, as I have not enjoyed this type of food/restaurant very often, but if you have never tried or wanted to change things up, I suggest you go to Tapas D Jerez.

The food was extremely unimpressive. The positives were that that the fried calamari, although greasy and more 'diner' than what I expect from a tapas place was fresh and the lamp chops were not over-cooked and with some salt became rather edible. Everything else was very disappointing. I did not get a 'Spanish' vibe form the food at all, and I've been to lots of tapas places.

The ambiance is not bad but the service is lacking: Drinks took too long, no one checked how we liked our food or if we wanted to order more - we had tapas and we usually start with a few and add on once we get started eating and decide which types of things they do best. Twice as we were walking we had to get out of the way for restaurant staff instead of the other way around as would be the case in most establishments. I ordered a sprite and it was very watery & flat; I later realised, when I got a refill, that they keep their sodas in water jugs with ice.

I didn't finish the food, instead when we got home I reheated leftovers from our fridge.

We have enjoyed dining here since the restaurant opened, but the menu and food aren't as good as they were a few months back. The menu seems to have been "Americanized" a bit recently and some of the wonderful Spanish tapas that used to be available no longer are. Seems to be more American-style deep-fried boring food on the menu now. I'm hoping they return to their roots with authentic Spanish tapas...we'll give them another try, but we're sad to see some of the menu changes.

Restaurant was less than 1/2 full on a Friday night (7-8pm).
Service was acceptable at the beginning of the meal but was increasingly "nowhere to be found" as the evening progressed.
The lamb entree was overcooked and leathery. The gazpacho soup (at $9.00) was a total waste of money. It had been pureed and was mostly "tomato flavored air" with little flavor except for the small amount of white onions and chopped tomatoes served as condiments on the side.
There were some decent wines available on the wine list.
Would not recommend this restaurant to a foodie.

We got there at 4. Staff didn't seem ready for our group of 8. Very slow when we were tight on time. Sparking wine for my birthday was a nice touch since we didn't have time for dessert. Plus 3 pumpkin desserts on menu in January . Yuck

We were excited to try out Spanish food in the Denver area, but we were greatly disappointed. The service was lacking (examples: water wasn't topped off, specific soda requested was not was given, one of the meals we ordered wasn't available, but we didn't find that out until the kids' food had arrived and thus that meal was greatly delayed). Plus, the food sizes vs. cost was what you'd expect in a fancy restaurant, not for this type of food. Typically tapas are smaller portions with smaller price tags. When service was needed, it was hard to flag down. The ambience, while showing some Spanish flair, didn't feel at all like Spain.

We ate too much and ordered too much, but with such a unique menu it's hard not to do so. I wanted to try everything. Each dish was more delicious than the next. Great place to check out with a group. Small plates is the best way to get a taste of everything. Can't wait to go back.

Well we are a couple of Spain, Tapas & Flamenco Enthusiasts, so Tapas de Jerez was a "must visit"; during our recent trip to Denver! We were trying to make a reservation for days and kept getting caught up: hiking, skiing and spending time at the slopes so we kept having to cancel.. ;( Finally one night we were able to reserve right before hitting the restaurant... and it was awesome! The restaurant is beautiful and we loved all the Flamenco art & decorations; the food was great and the service was excellent. Could've not asked for more, thank you!

My friends and I went to Tapas expecting good food, but we were pleasantly surprised by the most amazing service and tastes and overall experience possible! The atmosphere is casual and yet one the service and food is so far from casual. The server we had was brilliant and wonderful - we said we definitely wanted paella, but beyond that, "just surprise us." She brought us a beautifully tasty bottle of red wine, with tapas to die for, including a couple on the house! And then the paella - oh my goodness - so perfect! Our taste-buds were as joyful as taste-buds can be! The owner checked on us and the chef came out to say hello, and we told them both how spectacular their food and service was! We were treated like royalty in every respect and we will most certainly tell others to enjoy this fair, and return to Tapas D Jerez ourselves, many times to come! Amazing!

Authentic Spanish cuisine like Jamon Iberico to die for, pinxtos (served at the bar only), and regional wines available. Some nights w flamenco which is totally worth the crowd. appears to be the haunt of many regulars from all over the city, quietly tucked away in the corner of an unassuming strip mall in the burbs. basically this place is the real deal- total european vibe, complete with waitstaff that expects to speak to you in (legit) Espanol- no tex mex here. Reservations are a must on the wkends when crowds gather and swarm waiting for tables. Bottom line, delicious freshly prep authentic food, and one of a kind ambience. Hone your inner explorer, and prepare to be transported.

A very authentic Spanish restaurant with a wide variety of Tapas. We have had great servers that never rush the meal and really want you to enjoy your experience. They have been very helpful in ordering food and wine. This time there was a gentlemen playing the guitar, another time there was music and flamenco dancing. The food is good but not fabulous. I enjoy coming here for a wonderful authentic meal, unhurried and enjoyable evening.
