Great Sunday Brunch! Wide food array and beautiful surroundings!
The service was outstanding. Pricing was expensive for some entrees and moderately prices for sandwiches and salads. I would definitely go back.
Limited menu and the price was high for the portion size
The food was a solid 8 as was the service. We both had the Cucumber Gazpacho with Crab and then enjoyed a Salad Nicoise with Salmon and the Beet, Goat Cheese and Pistachio salad. My only complaint was the hostess. I was having lunch with an old friend that I had not seen in several years. We had a lot to talk about. We ate slowing because we were "dining" Perhaps she could use a course in etiquette. As we lingered over coffee she stared staring at us in a most unwelcoming way, rather like a bird of prey. I spent many years in Philadelphia eating at Le Bec Fin and other magnificat restaurants. I consider her behavior rude, as the restaurant was at that point mostly empty and since we had paid and tipped, over twenty percent. Surprised at the famous Hotel Bethlehem.
Beautiful and historic restaurant and hotel. my son, wife and I went for an early mother’s day dinner. For the price I thought the food was so-so. I ordered an old fashioned cocktail. It was the worst old fashioned I ever had. I have a feeling this bartender had no idea how to make one. My son ordered a burger which he told me had absolutely no taste. I had fish and chips. The fish was fresh lightly breaded. However for the price the chips were nothing more than pre processed string cut French fries.
Thursday night jazz in downtown Bethlehem is one great reason to go to the Tap Room in Hotel Bethlehem. Watching the horse-mounted police ride by through the large front windows is also entertaining! Very good bar food on the menu.
Food was good and the service was fair - the waitress seemed to be overextended with more tables than she could handle. But she did the best she could. Was quite noisy but tolerable.
Spent the weekend at the Hotel Bethlehem and had brunch. It was wonderful! The hotel was beautiful and very comfortable, convenient to shopping and the brunch was delicious. The staff was friendly and relaxed. Although they were busy, they were extremely attentive. It was my daughter's birthday and they gave her a special dessert and a flower. What a lovely way to end the perfect weekend. We will be back.
I absolutely love their brunch on Sundays. We go (at least) once a year for our wedding anniversary, as we held our brunch reception there. It is amazing and the service is always wonderful. I highly recommend.
Brunch with my husband. This is our go to spot for great food. Service is great as always.
A little overpriced but we love eating here. Food was great as usual but service was extremely slow.
The Sunday Brunch at the Hotel Bethlehem is phenomenal! AMAZING selection, and the food never disappoints! It's just a fun, vibrant place to eat!
Our server was very good; but the communication with the kitchen and bar was not good and lead to drinks and food coming out late. The food was good and well-prepared; typical American-style pub/restaurant food, nothing particularly inventive. The room was also very noisy, it was difficult to hold a conversation without shouting.
We had an amazing brunch experience after spending the night at the Hotel. The reservation was made through the Tap Room, but when they heard we were celebrating our anniversary, the hostess moved us to a table in the Terrance near the window, so that we could look out on Main Street and at the mountain. Both she and our server wished us a happy anniversary. And the brunch was absolutely incredible. We started with breakfast food: omelets from the omelette station, made right in front of us, and then on to french toast (cooked perfectly), bacon, and home fries. Later we sampled the bagel bar (complete with cream cheese, smokes salmon, and capers), shrimp cocktail, the carving bar (that prime rib!! ham also offered), and the goat cheese ravioli. There were other pastas and side dishes to go with the carving bar, as well as piles of fresh fruit and pastries. I sampled a tiny raspberry tart and a two-bite-sized piece of carrot cake. There's truly something for everyone. Oh, and drinks are included: soft drinks, water, tea, coffee, mimosas! We toasted our anniversary with full glasses of champagne. An absolutely perfect experience.
We drove an hour and a half to try the restaurant since we’ve heard great things about it from friends. We were celebrating our Anniversary. The food was delicious and our server was the best! We loved the atmosphere and charm of the historic hotel. We’ll definitely be back soon!
The Sunday Brunch is always enjoyable. The food is excellent and the variety is amazing. It is a bit pricey but I would recommend it for a special occasion.
We went there for an Easter dinner reservations at 6:30. Because the service was so slow we did not leave until 930. Please be mindful of how slow the service is when making reservations. I loved most of the food although the chicken could’ve had more sauce on it. The vegetables were done well. However my son waited two hours for a grill cheese. When you’re paying for the level of service and food you expect it to be prompt.
Easter brunch buffet was as good as it usually is. The arrangement of the hot food offerings was confusing and not logistically sound. Price for the buffet has risen to $59+...the food had better be good. The crowd was severely diminished.
First time trying the Easter Brunch. A little bit more expensive than the regular Sunday Brunch, but still a relatively good value. Great selection of foods. The ambiance alone is well worth the trip.
My family has always loved the Taproom at Hotel Bethlehem. Whenever my daughter comes in from California for a visit we make it a point to make a reservation. We never fail to spend an afternoon during Christmas. Just love the atmosphere and the food is perfect.
Pleasant atmosphere good food variety, attentive staff, nice carving and omelette stations. Not ostentatious but tasty well prepared. Soft music on the background perfect for comfortable conversations. Very attentive bellman service My wife was on a wheelchair and was assisted from parking to the brunch by nice caring staff. In the Lehigh valley. there is no better brunch
The brunch is always awesome. Food, service, and ambience is great there . Always a pleasant experience.
As usual the food was very good, the service was excellent and we enjoyed the experience
Everyone in my party of 6 was delighted with the overall experience. Dan Mies recognized some of us from Lehigh University and stopped by our table to meet & greet the newbees.
Went there at the conclusion on St Pattys Day weekend to catch some live music. Just a light meal, a couple of beers and sandwiches. The sandwiches were bad, did not finish.
As usual awesome for what is wonderful
Favourite for the Tavern food, casual, and the Jazz on Thursday is very pleasant
This was an exceptional experience. Food variety, taste and environment exceeded our expectations. Service was impeccable. Will definitely go there on occasions for the experience.
We visited the Hotel Bethlehem for the first time to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the soft background jazz music and the elegant ambiance of the room. The food was exquisite, although our biggest disappointment was with food temperature. The potato leek soup especially. It was like drinking delicious silk, but such a disappointment that it wasn't hot. Most of the buffet foods were a luke-warm temperature. If this can be solved, we would come back often. All in all, a wonderful experience.
Very good Tavern food, and on Thursday the jazz is very nice
Ambiance was great and the food was good.
It was a little bit of a draw back to have our server forget that my lady friend requested a raspberry mojito,
we made mention again only to receive after appetizers and dinner arrived.
Overall, I would in fact visit again because a setting of elegance and class embraces the hotel’ history.
As a long time user of Open Table, I found comfort in reserving dinner plans here. However, when settling up, the server informed me that I could not utilize a redeemable rewards card in the amount of $10.00
that I had selected to make applicable on this particular evening.
Although Tap Room at Hotel Bethlehem was a clear choice of restaurants on OT where point dinner rewards are applicable, server had never seen such a card worth value and returned momentarily only to advise that the restaurant did not participate in such a program.
We love the Hotel Bethlehem. We had our wedding reception there. Unfortunately, our Valentine’s Day dinner was thoroughly disappointing. The food wasn’t great...especially for the price. Service was wonderful, though.
Great Valentine’s Day buffett. They made everyone feel special by giving the women corsages . Food selection was awesome and they even included a glass of champagne. An overall excellent experience.
Great Sunday Brunch for Valentine's day. From shrimp, to smoked salmon to Prime Rib. Everything is delicious, and was groaning with delight from my first bite to the last.
Excellent buffet brunch. The number and variety of options is well above average and there is attention paid to small details. At $40 per adult it's not cheap but it is worth the price.
We enjoyed our entire stay at Hotel Bethlehem (3 days). The staff were all so nice and accommodation to our needs. Everyone was friendly and the hotel rooms are beautiful. The Sunday Brunch was out of this world. Our only complaint was that we couldn't fit more in our stomachs! It was an amazing experience
and we cannot wait to return.
Thursday night Jazz is the best! The menu is excellent. Good beer and wine
The entertainment was quite nice, Thursday night, service very good as usual, Pub fare, we enjoyed.
Atmosphere , food (meatloaf absolutely will order again) and great service . Beautiful, unique hotel surroundings. A favorite place to bring friends for lunch or dinner.
The service was very good, the ambiance is lovely, but the food is overpriced and mediocre.
