Everyone in my party of 6 was delighted with the overall experience. Dan Mies recognized some of us from Lehigh University and stopped by our table to meet & greet the newbees.
Went there at the conclusion on St Pattys Day weekend to catch some live music. Just a light meal, a couple of beers and sandwiches. The sandwiches were bad, did not finish.
As usual awesome for what is wonderful
Favourite for the Tavern food, casual, and the Jazz on Thursday is very pleasant
This was an exceptional experience. Food variety, taste and environment exceeded our expectations. Service was impeccable. Will definitely go there on occasions for the experience.
We visited the Hotel Bethlehem for the first time to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the soft background jazz music and the elegant ambiance of the room. The food was exquisite, although our biggest disappointment was with food temperature. The potato leek soup especially. It was like drinking delicious silk, but such a disappointment that it wasn't hot. Most of the buffet foods were a luke-warm temperature. If this can be solved, we would come back often. All in all, a wonderful experience.
Very good Tavern food, and on Thursday the jazz is very nice
Ambiance was great and the food was good.
It was a little bit of a draw back to have our server forget that my lady friend requested a raspberry mojito,
we made mention again only to receive after appetizers and dinner arrived.
Overall, I would in fact visit again because a setting of elegance and class embraces the hotel’ history.
As a long time user of Open Table, I found comfort in reserving dinner plans here. However, when settling up, the server informed me that I could not utilize a redeemable rewards card in the amount of $10.00
that I had selected to make applicable on this particular evening.
Although Tap Room at Hotel Bethlehem was a clear choice of restaurants on OT where point dinner rewards are applicable, server had never seen such a card worth value and returned momentarily only to advise that the restaurant did not participate in such a program.
We love the Hotel Bethlehem. We had our wedding reception there. Unfortunately, our Valentine’s Day dinner was thoroughly disappointing. The food wasn’t great...especially for the price. Service was wonderful, though.
Great Valentine’s Day buffett. They made everyone feel special by giving the women corsages . Food selection was awesome and they even included a glass of champagne. An overall excellent experience.
Great Sunday Brunch for Valentine's day. From shrimp, to smoked salmon to Prime Rib. Everything is delicious, and was groaning with delight from my first bite to the last.
Excellent buffet brunch. The number and variety of options is well above average and there is attention paid to small details. At $40 per adult it's not cheap but it is worth the price.
We enjoyed our entire stay at Hotel Bethlehem (3 days). The staff were all so nice and accommodation to our needs. Everyone was friendly and the hotel rooms are beautiful. The Sunday Brunch was out of this world. Our only complaint was that we couldn't fit more in our stomachs! It was an amazing experience
and we cannot wait to return.
Thursday night Jazz is the best! The menu is excellent. Good beer and wine
The entertainment was quite nice, Thursday night, service very good as usual, Pub fare, we enjoyed.
Atmosphere , food (meatloaf absolutely will order again) and great service . Beautiful, unique hotel surroundings. A favorite place to bring friends for lunch or dinner.
The service was very good, the ambiance is lovely, but the food is overpriced and mediocre.
The service was above average, the Pub style food was excellent, overall enjoy very much.
The Hotel Bethlehem has a delightful atmosphere with a great menu. Presentation a 5 star. I highly recommend this place.
The wait staff was awesome, always there with a new drink or to clear your plates. The food was hot which is not always easy for a buffet.
Not worth the money. New years eve brunch buffet. There was no music or champagne toast as promised. When we asked about the champagne toast we got an inadequate response and no champagne. Food looked promising but many dishes were cold. Enjoyed the French toast but otherwise not nearly worth $60 a head plus tip plus wine. Would not recommend.
We had a reservation for 7:15pm and were seated at 750pm. Food is overpriced for what you get. Service was very slow, food was lukewarm, coffee was not hot. We were very disappointed..for a night out with a tip it was over 130.00..we had mac and cheese w/ lobster (barely any lobster) my husband had fish and chips..just okay..
I grew up in Bethlehem and love the city during the holidays. So we traditionally have a family meal at the Tap Room during a visit. We generally enjoy both the atmosphere and the food, but this year something was different. First of all, it was cold inside with the front door so close (and I was dressed very warmly and am normally not cold). Secondly, there was a wedding going on and the music/feedback from the sound system was so loud that we could not hear each other. And lastly, the food portions were smaller and the plates very plain. A restaurant this nice should have some unusual breads in the bread basket, some unique garnishes, etc. My salmon was overcooked and really small, and they did not abide my request for salad dressing on the side. All in all, the Tap Room is slipping. People will only come for the Hotel Bethlehem name so often before they try one of the other places popping up on Main St. Tap Room you need to step things up.
Arrived twenty minutes early & table not ready, yet. Time managed perfectly -hostess found & seated us exactly at reservation time.
In front of band (a surprise)...great music but too loud for conversation. Even waitress missed requests for tartar sauc & ketchup.
Frigid night made room drafty each time door opened. Enjoyed my food but fries could have been hotter. Fish & Chips with coleslaw enjoyed by others. Fellow diner felt food salty. Rest of us thought seasoning ok. Fun but cold evening.
We came to this restaurant as a holiday treat. It was anything but. Beautiful holiday decor was offset by the freezing cold breeze that went across the room everytime the front door ger ale. We found this out after we sent back to bar upon drinking it. Replacement took long time due we guess to ginger ale refill.
While our waitress tried to be attentive, however, we repeatedly had to ask for the promised dinner bread. Bread finally arrive once we finished our meal. Staff seemed short, possibly due to jazz night? It seemed to take forever to get anything requested.
The experience was not what we had experienced in the past. We were surprised that no member of management asked how our meal was as we would have relayed this information. Overall a disappointing evening.
Beautiful setting at Christmas. Nice to have live music however it was too loud for conversation. Delicious soup and great menu in the Tap Room.
I was staying at the Hotel Bethlehem and wanted to go to the restaurant at the hotel. We made a reservation and we were seated right away. There was live music, which I enjoyed very much. The waitress was very friendly. However, it took over 20 minutes to get a cocktail and we waited over 20 minutes for the waitress to tell me they did not have the dessert I ordered. The food was good but not great. However, the Bloody Mary was really good and I loved the fact that drink was a really good size and they put two stalks of celery in the drink. Overall, if I lived near this restaurant, I would go to listen to the band and enjoy a casual meal.
the Tap Room was a very good restaurant. The service was very good and the location, within the Hotel Bethlehem, made it very convenient. They had live music, which added to the experience, and the food was enjoyed, by all four of us.
I would highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you're staying at this historic hotel.
This ambiance was just spectecular. Great for a holiday lunch
The decor was spectacular!! The menu and food were excellent. Service was also excellent. A must see at Christmas!!!
It is a beautiful place to dine and at holiday time exceptionally so. I enjoy the building, Tap Room, view from the window and the great food. Like to go at Christmas.
Dinner at Hotel Bethlehem and shopping on Main Street is a holiday tradition for my granddaughters and me. The hotel is lovely at Christmas. The food was average, the service very good. It’s the ambiance and tradition that we go for.
Overall it was a good experience. Service was a little slow. It took our waiter awhile to get to the table, over 15 mintues. But when he did, he did a decent job, had to ask for a dessert menu though. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was spectacular.
Tap room was lively and warm all decked out for Christmas 🎄. The hustle bustle of the hotel lobby can be a bit intrusive for diners. Overall it was very good. My 🍹 was fabulous!
Worth the trip! We drive approx. 1 and 1/2 hrs. To dine here. Food is fabulous. The hotel is gorgeous especially around Xmas time. Love the gift shop and the items are reasonably priced. Across the street we love The Moravian Book Shop. So many great gifts for all year round. Many other shoppes line the street. At night there are candles lit everywhere you look. Just a beautiful place to see. If you are so inclined there is the Sands Casino and outlets!!!
Our server was very good. Lisa was attentive, helpful and efficient. Our lunch salads were nicely presented. The hummus appetizer was the best and the carrot ginger soup was delicious.
Our special occasion was even more so with the service and food at the Hotel Bethlehem Tap Room.
Sunday Brunch at the Hotel Bethlehem is always a great experience, especially at the Holidays
Required numerous discussions with the Hotel Bethlehem as there is a difference between brunch and regular breakfast that is not obvious when booking online. Even though I booked well in advance, we were originally assigned a table right near the kitchen and servers’ station. We asked to move and were given a table that wobbled and wasn’t set. Also other tables had linen tablecloths and we wondered why some tables (ours) did not. Food was just okay-lukewarm and eggs were very runny and hash browns very greasy. Mr and Mrs Claus a nice touch.
Beautifly decorated for Christmas. Food was delicious & server was very pleasant & competent.
We come from central New Jersey to the town of Bethlehem every Christmas jus to have lunch at the Hotel and walk the stores on the main street. We have never been disappointed. The hotel decorations are terrific , the staff and atmosphere is friendly.
