Tap Room - Hotel Bethlehem
Breakfast, lunch & dinner are served with a view overlooking historic downtown Bethlehem in a grand setting.
Sunday’s Musical Brunch combines live music with a splendid buffet array. A holiday tradition for many has become a weekly habit for others. We are honored to be the recipient of “Best Sunday Brunch” by Lehigh Valley Magazine, Lehigh Valley Style magazine & readers of the Morning Call newspaper 5 years in a row.
We like the old menu with the salads adding our choice of proteins. It’s nice once in a while to have the high price but my wife and I go once every two weeks, and enjoy a few drinks and a great salad like you always had. Please bring it back :)
Wonderful experience. Staff and food were excellent!
Always a right choice going to the tap room. Service, food and atmosphere very pleasing.
We were disappointed when we couldn't get a reservation for the 1741 Terrace, but ended up thrilled with the Tap Room. Our server, John, was delightful, we had a lovely table decorated with beautiful flowers and the food was delicious. I have some dietary restrictions, but was able to request a simple salad with grilled chicken, perfect for me. My husband loved his filet mignon with fingering potatoes. The icing on the cake was the music played by a three piece combo accompanied by an excellent singer. We had a lovely evening and decided that next year when we return to the Hotel we will be sure to make reservations in the Tap Room. We thoroughly enjoy staying at the Hotel, and this was no exception! My only suggestion is to add another entree that doesn't feature fish/ shellfish. I know many people share my allergy.
Soup was superb; leeks very salty. Food overall was very good. Service is exceptional. Jazz was fantastic.
Relaxing time, having a meal by the window of Main St., Bethlehem. So thankful for the “off season”.
The brunch was excellent. Both food and service were great. However they sat us in the ballroom although our reservation was for the tap room. It was very noisy in the Ballroom. We could hardly hear each other speak . We had four people but we felt as though we were seated far away from each other as the table was very large. Overall an awesome experience. Thank you
Is any brunch for 2 adults worth $120 ??
Food selection certainly impressive. But 2 Bloody Mary's and a Brunch $120. That is a lot.
Wonderful hotel and staff. Food was delicious! Chef accommodated brunch/lunch menu transition as reservation was right at menu transition. Great waitstaff too.
Always a go to place we enjoy the Hotel very much!
Popped in for Restaurant Week. Our meal was fantastic! One of the best I've had in a long time.
the smoked salmon, shrimp and desserts were delicious, although the fish, ham and carving station selections were not so good.
service was slow, we attended the Sunday Brunch, (first timers).. beautiful setting in the atrium although our dirty plates sat for a long time until we asked for them to be removed. Our server was sweet but overwhelmed...
We will come back for drinks and possibly a meal, although not Brunch.
Brunch with friends
Lovely waitress, good food
Just overall awesome
We had a lovely afternoon, good salads and plenty of catching up with friends!
Celebrated a friend's birthday at a favorite spot. Our waiter, John, was absolutely wonderful. Great service, friendly, great sense of humor and made the meal that much better. Food is always very good whether it's at lunch or dinner. Great spot for just a mid-afternoon cocktail if one is so inclined. Hotel B never fails to please.
The Tap Room is a great place to have both business lunches and catch-up with friends. The food is outstanding and the service is always attentive.
We always enjoy the music at the Tap Room. Great food at reasonable prices. Thursday night jazz is the best.
We were originally seated in the ballroom which is the most depressing area of the hotel. Luckily they were able to seat us in the tap room.
My grandsons birthday
The hotel was still beautifully decorated from Christmas. The service was right on point without being over-attentive. The food looked great coming out of the kitchen, and we were all pleased with our food.
Love Thursday Jazz
And enjoyed seeing top notch jazz performance by the Paul Kendall trio. So wonderful to see world class jazz here in Bethlehem!
My husband and I met another couple to see Connie Edinger and Tommy Marschak play at The Tap Room. It was our first experience there. The setting is great, the service was great, the music was outstanding. The food was not good. The burgers were way undercooked, the salad was nothing impressive. The fries were cold. We aren't really picky people, but after 200.00 for food and drinks for 4 we went home starving and ate leftovers from the fridge. Lesson learned. Next time we will eat before!
Amazing atmosphere had a great time with my mom she absolutely enjoyed the food, the view, and the decor.
Always a great comfortable meal in the Tap room. Excellent service and great cocktails
Ordered lunch. The food was delicious and the portions were large. Beautiful ambience. The waitress was very attentive. Very enjoyable experience.
Beautiful setting for Christmas dinner. Food was excellent, service was very good. Both quite an accomplishment since they served served to a full crowd all day (breakfast, buffet then dinner) nearly continuously with minimal changeover time.
We have frequented this great historic hotel lobby bar & restaurant often and love it. For Christmas day dinner, it's off the charts special!! Beautifully decorated, delicious and varied (though shorter than usual) menu with options for every taste and wonderful staff from the front door to the table. It's also a wonderful place to stay - perhaps to wait for Santa or after a romantic (or family) dinner on Christmas Day. This was our second Christmas dinner visit and we'll definitely be back!!
We came for Christmas breakfast in the Tap Room. The staff was so friendly and very attentive. The hotel looked beautiful, filled with wonderful Christmas decorations. Will be back thru out the year for lunch/dinner and definitely for the holidays!!
They did not honor our reservation as we reserved a table in the tap room and they put us in the lobby
Table was not ready at appointed time. Menu options were not fully offered while the other tables seated later than us had more options.
Love this spot, Breakfast is great. I highly recommend dining here for any special occasion although morning is my favorite. Don't miss the Penn State dairy either. The best of the Christmas City.
Very disappointed. I made reservation several weeks in advance and requested a special table for a celebration. They emailed me and called twice to confirm my table for three for a celebration and that we preferred a table by the window. We arrived an hour and a half early, checked in and told the hostess that we were willing to wait for a table by the window. It was very busy but we luckily found seats at the bar while we waited. I checked back in an hour later because I saw that there was a new hostess. She told me the table was ready, so I grabbed by friends and the hostess showed us to a table for two by the window. I told her that we reserved for three, but that we could squeeze into this table. She said she couldn't because the staff needed more room around the table - I thought there was plenty of room and the table was in a corner so it was highly unlikely that they would need to get around our table very often. The hostess then proceeded to seat us at an even smaller cafe table next to the kitchen and the bar. People bumped into my car for the rest of the night and we ate on top of each other. What was suppose to be a celebration evening turned into an uncomfortable evening. Our server David was excellent, but the hostess staff seemed disorganized and didn't care about our requests at all. She seemed more concerned about pushing us through. We usually come here every year to celebrate, but this left a very bad taste in our mouth.
Went for early Sunday afternoon meal...got seated on time....was served water....waited 20 minutes for server.....never showed......the hostess continued seating people and no servers on the entire floor.....walked out....terrible service.....staff has no clue how to manage a restaurant!.....first time making a reservation at this restaurant.... will never return during a holiday season....may give a another chance during a quiet season
Best place in Bethlehem! Great atmosphere and great food!!
As always love visiting the Tap Room around Christmas. Restaurant was festive and lots of happy people enjoying the season w co-workers and business friends. Table was ready, and Staff accommodated a move to a window view. Server was attentive, good list of seasonal craft beers, food was good and portions were appropriate.
We had lunch this week with my daughter who is home for college break. We thought this would be a great place to eat and do some shopping for Christmas. The lunch was rather expensive and frankly, the food was terrible. I expected much more. My flat bread was soggy and bland. The lobster roll was just ok at $22. I will never go back or recommend it to anyone else.
