A favourite spot, both for ladies group lunches or catching up with a friend. Service is always attentive and very pleasant. Sometimes a bit noisier than ideal. The food itself never fails to please in my experience.
I have been to this restaurant many times before, always enjoyed it. It's always warm & friendly, service is excellent & unhurried. We all had the lobster bisque which is always excellent. My two friends both had very tasty entree''s , however, I ordered one of the specialties described as a trio of sandwiches - one being cow & brie, another as sheep & blue cheese & the third as elk sausage & another cheese with tomato & walnuts. The platter did not contain sandwiches but wafer thin slices of meats all of which looked like salami & tasted the same. There were two cheeses - brie & blue & some very small French bread rounds with one grape tomato & the walnuts. It was not very filling & a disappointment. I will however return as this is the first disappointing meal I've ever had there - a poor choice.

As soon as we walked in with a reservation we were offered a bad table by the door. There was only 1 other table occupied in the restaurant at the time. When we asked to be seated at another table we were met with a sarcastic look.
We ordered the Beet salad and mushroom risotto to share for starters. Beet salad was a couple of small beets on a plate covered with mixed salad and a bit of goats cheese. Last time we had this salad it was tastefully presented with a generous amount of goat cheese and beets. The risotto was very tasty and proved to be the highlight of the meal.
Charged $12 for extra vegetables which happened to be a bit of gritty chopped kale. My main course was wrong. Ordered scallops and pork belly and got a fatty pork chop served on a mound of so so mashed potato with next to no veg on the plate.
So much potential with this restaurant that is not being realized.
Service was outstanding and staff knowledgeable on food and drinks. Intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Food was delicious. Thank you for our enjoyable evening.
Visited there for a Sat nt with friends and while we're from Langley, this S.Surrey gem was so worth the drive. Can't believe we hadn't seen it before? Food was scrumtious, lots of choices for organic and gluten free eating, VERY tasty, and fab service. Wine selection was also impressive. Had to go back for a luncheon the next week to see if it was for real, and brought wine and foodie friend from Sonoma Valley...and he raved! Will be back and maybe meet the Master Somm owner one day.

The food was very well presented and the serving size was perfect.
Our waitress provided attentive service and was not over bearing as we have experienced.

A Friday night birthday dinner with our adult sons, the four of us enjoyed a marvellous meal. The Lobster Bisque was excellent, entree’s were well presented and delightful. Service was casual but not so casual as to diminish the coulinary experience. Deserts offering was good and worth a try. Overall a great evening. We spend roughly $80 per person with all said and done, But this was an experience. We will dine again.
We had an amazing time. We were very well taken care of by the staff, we were given wines that complimented all the different meals we were having. Spectacular staff, great food, really great wine and cocktails. Couldn't recommend it more.
Food is top drawer. Service is excellent. While not cheap, everything is exactly as it should be. Wine list is very impressive. The 'som' knows what he is doing.
Went there for Valentine’s Day dinner, arrived ten minutes prior to reservation time. We stood there for about 15 minutes without being acknowledged whatsoever. A worker came and told the other two couples how long their wait would be and basically made eye contact with us and turned away.
We ended up going to the Keg down the road since we were quite put off by the service. Most likely won’t go back.
No matter how busy this location is, the food never disappoints. Staff always try their best no matter how crazy and hectic it might be (valentines day!) been a repeat reservation for us and will continue to.

We expected great food and were not disappointed. What exceeded our expectations was the level of service on Valentine's Day. The service and food were excellent. For a day where restaurants are stretched to the limit, we never felt hurried nor was the service or food compromised. A great restaurant.

Just moved to the area and didnt want to drive back to downtown for a fine dinner. after a little research I decide give it a shot. Both my wife and I agreed that food quality, service and value is beyond expectation. especially for the Tuesday chief special menu, it's a decent 3-course menu for the price of an entree. We will definitely go again !
They did not have the reservation made through this site(Open Table ) but seated us anyway
It's a little confusing to find as their sign is quite unobtrusive. The staff were very accommodating & even replaced our wiggly table. This was a Gran & Grandson 10th birthday dinner & the food did not disappoint. One negative was the pork chop special. It had a huge amount of fat & was in places kind of tough. Saying that though I must also admit that the flavour of the meat was very tasty. The gnocchi were the best either of us had ever tasted. All of the prawns in our dishes were cooked perfectly as were all of the vegetables. Kuddos to the pastry chef as both desserts were stellar.
I have been there three or four times. During two separate dinners, they served me nuts even though they clearly understood that I have nut allergies. I have never seen it this bad in any other restaurant. This is why I rated "service" as low, even though everything else including the food quality was good (I am just being as fair as possible).
Last time, they served me mocha cake and despite my wife and I asking them twice, the waitress and one of the cooks were adamant that it has no nuts. Zero. The waitress said "let me ask the chef one more time" and came back with "absolutely no nuts." I bit onto the cake twice, and then one of the chefs walked over and took it away, apologizing for his mistake. The cake did have nuts, and I drove home with restricted breathing. It was a scary and a disappointing end to the night.
Glad to say the baked Brie on the menu again.
My daughter who is definitely a foodie recommended we eat here for our bi weekly lunch date. I was not disappointed. The service was wonderful, the food was creative and flavourful and our selections were spaced out accordingly as to savour each selection. Our server was knowledgeable and delightful with our service. I intend to revisit with my husband for date night in the very near future. Thank you again for a lovely dinning experience.
You can almost forget you’re in Surrey. Great service and food. They don’t rush you and we appreciated that.
Consistent great service, food and wine. Nothing in White Rock/South Surrey even comes close to this restaurant. Feels like your dining at a fine restaurant downtown Vancouver.
Usually the food is excellent, but I rated it lower based on my most recent experience. I had a smoked salmon salad with winter greens and candied walnuts. There was no smoked salmon and the salmon that accompanied it had the consistency and blandness of poached salmon. Worst of all, I hit a rancid walnut which put me off the whole thing.
My friend, the birthday girl, enjoyed her lunch very much. And the service was attentive and not intrusive.
Food was great, restaurant was great, service was amazing! Only complaint is serving size for food was smaller in comparison to other places. Would definitely come again!

Very tasty appetizers. Main course was also good but very small portions. Restaurant was very crowded. Tables very close together.
Reasonable food and cozy environment. The dish is good. Lobster soup might be great if there are lobster mice in it.
Booked noting it was my wife's B'day, however the waitress was not aware. Only said happy b'day at the end of our dinner. It was busy that day, however we waited about 10-12 min after we were seated to have our orders taken. We were ready to order our full meal and the waitress only took our drink order and left with out asking if we were ready to order food. When we did order food they didn't have 2 dishes that we wanted. Would think the waitress would have let us know beforehand what they were out of that evening.
The French onion soup was a bit too sweet for my wife's liking, and would prefer to have the pork belly crispy and not soft.
We have been to Tap many times. Service is always excellent and the food is always excellent. The menu hasn't changed in a while but we still find meals we enjoy.
Dined at many French restaurants in France. The Tap duck was better than any French restaurant I have enjoyed.
The dessert, Lava Cake, was excellent.
Great presentation on the plates.
Definitely will go back again - many times - to try some of the other menu items

Great room and live music was excellent. Very good service. Mussels were great. Good wine list. Food was presented beautifully. Entrees tasted okay, but weren't great, and we expected better for the price. (Ling cod, pork belly and the pasta were our mains.) Seasoning and flavours fell kind of flat? The poached pear dessert definitely needs a re-do and wasn't very good at all. I would love to try this restaurant again, but will wait until there is a new menu to try.
Duck confit was amazing.
A wonderful dining experience. The food was outstanding. Service was friendly and Sommelier was very attentive. Highly recommendable. Great for special occasions. Staff never rushed us.
