Beautiful day to be on that patio! Had to wait 10 minutes so they could sanitize our table ..... I really appreciated it. Lunch was yummy. Service was quick and unobtrusive. Will definitely be back!
Great location and patio! Food was delicious. Will go again.
The food was average but the patio is great! Service was okay.
Everything was fine. The wings should have had an options for sauce or seasoning. The cleaning seems great.
The server was very caring and kindly. I saw some staffs training self and safety at outside. It’s impacted nice and reliable.
We received inattentive service from our waitress.. cold food.. late beers and items incorrectly billed on our bill.. my third and last visit to Tap & Barrel was a terrible one to say the least
Happy hour with outdoor seating was great! Drinks and happy hour food was soooo yummy! Definitely will come back and try other things on the menu!
Great location and friendly staff. Lots of beer and wine choices. The pizza is really good!
The server that served our table had an attitude problem, not friendly and didn't seem happy to be there. Was an unpleasant dine-in experience especially since coming back from the reopening of restaurants.
I was exploring what it was like to be at a bar/restaurant since they reopened after covid.
The heaters need to be functioning. It was freezing last night even with jackets and scarf on.
Only problem was calling. I tried calling earlier in the week, and couldn’t get through. Then later made a 2 day in advance reservation, hours before when I wanted to update from 2-4 people, I spent 35 minutes on hold. I finally had to physically show up to make changes to the reservation.
Food is very expensive for the amount that you get.
Reopened too soon and not open as early as the Open Table time slots.
I’m not a regular at T&B but came here because they are taking reservations and their menu advertises a brunch happy hour online. I had a 10:45 reservation but it turns out they open at 11 on Sundays. We sat down and weren’t given instructions on how to order. We called the server over and she told us we had to scan the bar code on the table with our cameras, which would also be how we pay our bill. The menu that opened on our phones didn’t have any brunch items listed so we called the server over again and she brought paper menus. The menu didn’t have the advertised brunch happy hour per their online menu. Called the server over again to clarify and she said she had to check with her manager. The manager came over to explain that they were no longer doing the brunch happy hour and asked if that was okay. Trying to be understanding, we said yes and pointed out that open table has reservations as early as 10AM even though they don’t open till 11AM. So we ordered food and drinks. They brought over some beer samples while we were waiting. Somehow the cocktail arrived before the beer. We called the server again. Turns out that cask had been tapped but no one came to tell us. Picked another beer which didn’t arrive until we were half way through our meal. A different server came with the beer and said it was on the house.
When the bill came, there were two beers on the bill so we called the server over again to clarify...
There couldn’t have been more than 5 tables in the entire restaurant so I’m not quite sure why the experience was so clunky. I’m also a little put off by all the servers wearing fabric gloves and going from one table to the next. From an infection control perspective, it would be best that servers stick to specific tables and perform hand hygiene between tables. Handling everyone’s plates and going from table to table with the same pair of gloves is not very sanitary.
Reserved a high top specifically to be downstairs, was instead put upstairs in the far corner at a large table for two of us.
Disappointing experience.
Made sure it was clean and used PPE
So thrilled with how Tap and Barrel have worked though the health and safety guidelines to provide a relaxed and enjoyable evening. We will be back.
We use to like going there, this last time was a so unprofessional! We had family from out of province as well and I was a bit embarrassed.
- Took a very long time for a server to come and even just acknowledge us, ask if we wanted to order drinks, we were there for at least a good 10 minutes.
-Restaurant had run out of chicken strips for kids but had plenty of chicken strips for the Cobb Salad, I know they're the same.
-Ordered the ice cream for my kids, the ice cream ball was the size of a ping-pong ball and ALL staff couldn't find small spoons to eat it, my kids used a fork until someone finally brought them on.
-We all ordered desert which we never do, deserts arrived and we were given a handful of SOUP spoons to eat it.
-We were very nice and polite the whole time but our waitress with the over inflated injected lips was nice but so unprofessional, worst service ever.
We will drive to North Van if we want to go to Tap & Barrel again.
Great happy hour...good selection of food and drink! I enjoyed the poke bowl with a cider and then finished off with the brownie. The service was quick and friendly.

Wasn't too busy, and our server was amazing! And I liked how it wasn't too loud and still could have a conversation at the table.
Hi Natalie, Thanks so much for taking the time to leave and awesome rating and great review! We'll see you again soon! Nicole
Birthday
The quality of my steak was not very good. The tables around us were not cleaned in a timely manner. The delivery of the beer took very long. We ordered one steak with sauce and the sauce was not on the steak.
Going to the hockey game
This was a birthday celebration but wasn’t mentioned by the server. Food was good, dine out was on and I did the ribs. Very tasty , just could have used a side car of sauce. Good value . Server was ok, nothing special. Had to go to bar to ask for bill as he took forever to come back after table was cleared. Throughout our dinner, servers kept trying to bring food to our table that wasn’t ours. Great location with really nice views.
Great value for Happy Hour Brunch!

Had an absolutely amazing experience, especially because of how nice and great our server Cole was. I haven’t had great service like this at a restaurant in a while and definitely will be coming back again. Hope Cole is our server again!
Well located to the Cirque location as well as the stadium and arena. Quick and friendly service and good food.
Hi Sandra, Thank you for your review! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Very good service and food. Will return in near future!
Ashley was great.
Food and beer selection was awesome.
Tap & Barrel Olympic Village is a fun place to people watch and dine by the water close to Science World. The second floor dining area is also fun for groups.
For such a beautiful location it’s too bad that the food is just average. I ordered the Chinese lettuce wraps and they were bland, watery and had no flavor. My friends both had salads which looks nice but were rather small for the price.
friendly servers and decent food. It was dead on a wednesday night, which I prefer. But the patio was closed due to lack of staff that day.
The service wasn't great. Wait staff seemed super rushed and when we asked for a drink menu our server acted exasperated and said "I'll see what I can find". Food was good but a bit overpriced for the volume.
The hostess refused to honour my opentable reservation. I was able to make the reso 5 minute before arriving. When I arrive there was a cue and I was told to wait a few minutes before I could be seated. I stepped outside to give them more room at the hostess stand and waited for 15 minutes. When I asked about my table, the lead hostess who wasn’t there earlier, told me because I made my reso so late and they forgot to close their OpenTable system. I was now at the bottom of the list and would have to wait 20-30 minute, on top of the 15 which I had already waited. She also told they didn’t tell me that earlier because they “lost track”. After a heated discussion, the hostess decided to give me a table. When I was finally seated I told her thank you for your trouble which she decided to ignore. She then cancelled my reso, even tho I did honour it, and I had to contact OpenTable for my dining points.
Great location and fun atmosphere with good service, but the food & drinks were overpriced and lacking. Blackberry moscow mule was more than half-filled with huge chunks of ice so it was very watered down, and the pulled bacon poutine was too expensive for how small the portion was and it was nothing spectacular. For the same amount of money, would much rather go to Cactus Club or Joey!
Was disappointed that the sunny patio was closed on such a beautiful day and waterfront. They said they weren’t expecting a big crowd on a Tuesday yet the shady patio side had a wait and line up. It’s a big section of the patio and what people are coming for on a sunny Vancouver day. Our food also took a long time and it was just a pizza and salad.
Reasonable food for a reasonable price. Excellent views and good service.
Would go back. But the two of us were seated to a large table so we could hardly hear each other talking. It seemed odd seating us there as there were plenty of vacant tables.
The Tap and Barrel is great and has been since it opened. The only down side was the reservation system and requesting a table with shade or an umbrella being entirely overlooked. Getting seated was also a challenge for the 4 people at the front, as I was the second in my party they just pointed to the patio...pretty sad when everything else is amazing there
Service wasn't the best, which is rare for Tap & Barrel. However the food, as always was incredible! Definitely will be back.
We made reservations so we could sit on the patio. There was a long line up and we were told by the hostess we had to sit inside. Once we were seated, we asked for the Manager and she moved us outside to the upstairs patio. Great service since I believe when you make reservations, you should have your pick of seating.
