Tanoreen has delicious fresh food. We have never been disappointed with our choices. Food is always superb and service is friendly and knowledgeable.
Neighborhood gem. Food and service is always excellent. Great Middle Eastern food.
The food was amazing and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. Well worth the trip out to Bay Ridge!
Went for Valentines Day, and it was nice that the place wasn't over-crowded (even at peak time 7:30pm). The menu here is always great, and varies nicely with the specials. The chef always comes around to greet customers and check on the quality. Service is good, they don't hurry you (again, even on Valentine's day). They also always have interesting wines and beers, so that's another plus.
Can’t say enough what a great experience we had at this restaurant. Excellent, authentic food from an extensive menu and interesting wine list. We had wine from Lebanon for the first time and it was great! The service was beyond attentive and the owner even came over to chat with us for a long time, which was lovely. All in all, a 5-star hit.
The food is fabulous. Such imaginative dishes with fabulous spices
Loved Tanoreen! The food is the most authentic Lebanese food I've ever come across (aside from my mother in law's Lebanese cooking). Very pleasant service and great cocktails! We were there for New Year's Eve and it was such a happy atmosphere! Loved the food, the drinks and the dessert! Delicious!!
Fabulous as usual! Creative, hearty, delicious, unusual food dishes. Lots of variety including many veggie dishes cooked in interesting ways. A truly authentic middle eastern restaurant that will not disappoint.
I was not aware that portions are big and can be shared. We just took most of the food home.
Excellent Arabic food..Palestinianstyle. We always come here..
I wouldn't say the waiters were very "effusive" but the food made up for it.Real convenient to the R train. I like the fact that the owner, 2nd generation, came over to chat with us.And at length to boot!
A phenomenal venue for Middle eastern cuisine! We have dined here many times and have never been disappointed. The only complaint (and it's a minor one)? When it's crowded (as it often is---it's a deservedly popular place) the noise level is such that is very difficult to carry on a conversation---a situation somewhat mitigated by the fact that one is more often chewing than talking. A great, satisfying, delicious dining experience!
My mother and I came down from Syracuse and Albany respectively for a concert in Manhattan. As Palestinian rights activists, we heard amazing things about Tanoreen and its Palestinian owner/chef and made it a point to visit. We were thrilled we did. It was a quiet saturday- between lunch and dinner hours so the place was fairly empty which means our food came out very quickly. We're vegetarians so we stuck to some veg appetizers - a salad with halloumi cheese (to die for), the cauliflower steak and the butternut squash napolean. All were fresh, innovative and delicious. The Christmas r&b music on repeat was a little too much but Tanoreen is a fantastic spot and we'd love to visit again.
