Our meal at Tanoreen was just wonderful. Our Table was waiting for us when we arrived and everything just got better from there. We shared one of the special appetizers, a cauliflower “steak” with cheese and breadcrumbs and harissa. What a treat! But the best was to come — 2 different types of squash and a small eggplant all stuffed with a delightful light ground lamb mixture. They were all swimming in the most fragrant, delicious light tomato and harissa sauce. Delicious, beautiful, fragrant — and plenty! A meal to remember.
Great food, excellent service, a very pretty place. It was also spotless.
This may be one of my all time favorite restaurants in Brooklyn. It is consistently outstanding. The flavors in each dish - from appetizers to specials - are unique and addicting!! The staff is also great; they are no-nonsense professional waiters.
I love Tanoreen. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff treats you like family, and you never feel rushed. I always recommend the cauliflower steak, the fennel salad, and the knafeh for dessert!
One of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants, I really need to get there more often, excellent!
This is the best place to come to!!! Always the best food and service!!
Tonight we had the most perfect, delicious, fresh meal: Tuna entrée & Shulbato special paired with white wine 😍 we could not have been happier with every aspect of our dining experience. Tanoreen is consistently amazing all around, we tell everyone about how it’s the best place to eat in Bay Ridge. Cheers ❣️
Tanoreen has the most flavorful food imaginable. Each recipe is packed with spice, acid, textures....everything fits together perfectly. I love this place.
Second time at Tanoreen and the food was delicious as the first visit. I had the lamb shank which was falling off the bone amazing and the kanafeh was out of this world. Overall, great food, great value and great service.
The valet thru wait and bus service are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The waiter made recommendations at our request and was spot on..
We shall return!!!
TANOREEN NEVER FAILS to PLEASE! 5 ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️ in each category! It is my FAVORITE restaurant - even had my very special birthday dinner there not long ago. All the guests were highly impressed and stated they'd return on their own as well. Haven't yet been there? You're missing a special experience!
Tanoreen has delicious fresh food. We have never been disappointed with our choices. Food is always superb and service is friendly and knowledgeable.
Neighborhood gem. Food and service is always excellent. Great Middle Eastern food.
The food was amazing and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. Well worth the trip out to Bay Ridge!
Went for Valentines Day, and it was nice that the place wasn't over-crowded (even at peak time 7:30pm). The menu here is always great, and varies nicely with the specials. The chef always comes around to greet customers and check on the quality. Service is good, they don't hurry you (again, even on Valentine's day). They also always have interesting wines and beers, so that's another plus.
Can’t say enough what a great experience we had at this restaurant. Excellent, authentic food from an extensive menu and interesting wine list. We had wine from Lebanon for the first time and it was great! The service was beyond attentive and the owner even came over to chat with us for a long time, which was lovely. All in all, a 5-star hit.
The food is fabulous. Such imaginative dishes with fabulous spices
Loved Tanoreen! The food is the most authentic Lebanese food I've ever come across (aside from my mother in law's Lebanese cooking). Very pleasant service and great cocktails! We were there for New Year's Eve and it was such a happy atmosphere! Loved the food, the drinks and the dessert! Delicious!!
Fabulous as usual! Creative, hearty, delicious, unusual food dishes. Lots of variety including many veggie dishes cooked in interesting ways. A truly authentic middle eastern restaurant that will not disappoint.
I was not aware that portions are big and can be shared. We just took most of the food home.
Excellent Arabic food..Palestinianstyle. We always come here..
I wouldn't say the waiters were very "effusive" but the food made up for it.Real convenient to the R train. I like the fact that the owner, 2nd generation, came over to chat with us.And at length to boot!
A phenomenal venue for Middle eastern cuisine! We have dined here many times and have never been disappointed. The only complaint (and it's a minor one)? When it's crowded (as it often is---it's a deservedly popular place) the noise level is such that is very difficult to carry on a conversation---a situation somewhat mitigated by the fact that one is more often chewing than talking. A great, satisfying, delicious dining experience!
My mother and I came down from Syracuse and Albany respectively for a concert in Manhattan. As Palestinian rights activists, we heard amazing things about Tanoreen and its Palestinian owner/chef and made it a point to visit. We were thrilled we did. It was a quiet saturday- between lunch and dinner hours so the place was fairly empty which means our food came out very quickly. We're vegetarians so we stuck to some veg appetizers - a salad with halloumi cheese (to die for), the cauliflower steak and the butternut squash napolean. All were fresh, innovative and delicious. The Christmas r&b music on repeat was a little too much but Tanoreen is a fantastic spot and we'd love to visit again.
Quite simply, the best Middle eastern food in NYC. The cauliflower steak appetizer is truly memorable.
Very good Mediterranean food in generous portions and attractively plated. The small restaurant is attractive and comfortable. The service was polite and attentive.
They boast a full bar but I could not get a Bloody Mary, also the baklava was not up to the standard of the other offerings.
Charming and tasty at an acceptable price.
Always phenomenal food & service! Had the most delicious salmon of my life tonight.
We have eaten in Tanoreen for years. The food is always outstanding & excellent service always.
Excellent food, service, ambience. From Rawia (Chef-Owner) to Jumana (Co-owner) to Ranier ( Manager) to Sarah (Bartender) to waiters, busboys and valet, ALL aim to please. They succeed beautifullly! My children recently made me a birthday party here. It was a "10" for everyone!
Still a total stand-out, worth coming from elsewhere. The ingredients are fresh and, while the tastes and spices are all middle eastern, the recipes are so original. For top quality food (worthy of a special occasion), the prices are reasonable. The space is always full and lively, so things can get noisy on the weekend, but it's part of the atmosphere. Be sure to make a reservation!!
Food and service wonderful, as usual!
I love Tanoreen. The food is always wonderful and the service excellent. The only thing that keeps me from giving this restaurant 5 stars is the noise level. It is WAY TOO LOUD and difficult to have a conversation.
Have been here many times and will be back many times more. I have never had bad food or bad service. Everything is always great !
Enjoyed our first visit. My husband and I agree that we would like to try more things on the menu. We both really enjoyed the food and drinks. Service was a little lacking but didn't seriously detract. He was assigned to a large table near the end of our meal--but other wait staff stepped in and go us our check, etc. The woman who greeted us was very gracious and attentive to placing us away from young kids--not an issue for us, but it is a very family friendly restaurant. Dishes perfect for groups. It can get noisy. Overall enjoyable and I think we'll return.
The food was fantastic. Some of the new appetizer were beyond belief.
Spices are perfect in every dish. We also had a fantastic waiter.
Good food authentic cuisine , average price.
Need a better Beer menu.
Good ambiance, great place to share plates! Would definitely go back!
We liked everything about it except the noise level. It was difficult to hear each other until we rearranged the seating so we sat at 45 degree angles to each other. That saved the evening.
