Wonderful atmosphere and the food was fantastic. Rarely find such an authentic place.
Overall my girlfriend and I had a great experience. Originally had 6:30pm reservations for a Saturday night. We were running very late so I called the maitre d' and he was more than accommodating: he changed our reservation time to 7pm! Tango has lively ambiance: the noise level was high, difficult at times to have a conversation. Our server Michelle was excellent: very attentive despite having several tables. The food? In a word: DELICIOUS! We both had steak (order meat here). Perfectly prepared. Sides of asparagas and squash, appetizer (tomato and eggplant), dessert (flan) all incredible! NOTE: Tango is very sensitive/helpful to diners with dietary restrictions: gluten-free, dairy, etc. Options/substitutions are available. We'll return!!
There is nothing negative to say. Everything was great, the food, service! We had a great time and will come back!
We have been to Tango before and all three times, we sat for a long time before having to speak to someone about getting someone to take our order. They really should work on assigning tables to waiters a better way!
Tango is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Consistent good food. Happy to see they recently expanded into the former flower shop next door. The space and new bar look beautiful. I usually go for meat, but had the salmon this time - delicious.
Tango is consistently good both in service and in quality of food. I ordered a medium rare steak and it was cooked perfectly! Appetizers were unique and delicious. The owner is always there and he makes sure that you have a good time.
We had a wonderful evening at Tango! The service is impeccable and the food outstanding! We have already booked reservations to return!
LOVED TANGO!!! Great food, great service. Great choices on the menu!
Great steaks....new bigger place with a new bar
The food at Tango is always delicious -- best skirt steak anywhere. The Maitre'd greets you with old world charm -- very pleasant after a long work week. The addition of a bar, so that we can now get cocktails, is a terrific plus, and the new bartender seems to know what he's doing. The table service, however, often leaves something to be desired. Some of the waiters are very attentive, some have very little idea how to serve properly. Our waitress on 2/18 never asked if we wanted a second drink, and disappeared from the floor for long periods at a time. We had to send someone after her to get our check. If I would recommend one thing to the owner it would be to get all the wait staff professionally trained.
One of the best steak places in greater Boston.
Was ok. Only had a special valentines day menu that you can only choose steak, fish, and deer. Luckily, my girlfriend isnt a vegetarian anymore otherwise she would have starved. Small portions for $50.
Excellent steaks, as you would expect from a good Argentine cuisine.
the owner does not even look at you to even acknowledge you. He is rude to custumers and even worse to his own staff. I will never go there ever again. Food is not even that good and when faced with all the attitude is even worse..
If you like food that is prepared by experts Tango is the place. The Argentine cuisine is what you would find in you were in Argentina.
Everything about this restaurant is amazing, from the food to the service. The flavors in the food are straight from Buenos Aires, and they have an excellent selection of wines. I would highly recommend Tango for a great dinner!
This was the second time my girlfriend and I have been here, and we have nothing but good things to say. The steaks we ordered were cooked to perfection in their excellent chimichurri sauce, giving it lots of flavor. I have recommended Tango to many people, and plan to return again in the future
This is definitely a hidden gem in the Boston area. Their empanadas were incredible and the service was impecable. The steak was delicious and please make sure to add "chimichurri" to your steak as it is out of this world. The steak was not as tender as in other steakhouses and it was not cooked to our order. Nevertheless, we will definitely go back to enjoy the atmosphere of the place, the warmth of the wait staff and just feeling that you go back to Argentina!
A true neighborhood gem! Outstanding food, friendly and helpful staff, warm and inviting atmosphere. Only (minor) complaint: we were hoping for a quieter evening -- but then again, it was a Saturday night on Valentine's Day weekend and the place was packed. Great restaurant overall!!
The food is consistently delicious here. Service is great and it is a warm and charming atmosphere.
In spite of the particular waiter and high noise, I still like the place. However, I will try to avoid busy hours.
I found this restaurant a few months ago, right before my husband and I were getting married and heading on our honeymoon to Argentina. We've been back multiple times since then. The food is great (with large portions), servers are fantastic and the owner is very personable. I would recommend this place to any steak lover!
Good but not great food - definitely overpriced for the quality. Huge steak, cooked perfectly, but on the menu as churrusco. Expected something spicy, but steak was bland, less spicy than most steaks I've had at average classic American steak houses. Veggies were better than the steak, even though meat is clearly the draw for most of the crowd. Attractive decor, friendly, attentive staff, and good wine, but food was just unexciting. I suspect owners are de-spicing the food to appeal to palate of average Arlington diners, but if this is case, prices should be dropped a bit. Expected more authentic Argentinean flavor and was disappointed.
I haven't had as good a time at a restaurant as I did at Tango. Everything from the minute we walked in, the host, the bartender, the waitress...SUPERB!!
Excellent,as always! Food great. Great wine. Great service.
Always a favorite! The best sangria in town. The steaks are so smooth and tender they will melt in your mouth.
Excellent food. A little noisy, and we were on the early side...perhaps it gets quieter when there are fewer families.
Tango , Tango , Tango ...oh how I love thee. The atmosphere and decor was right on point with this Argentinean themed restaurant. We had the Steak carpaccio that melted in your mouth and the cold platter as an appetizer (mozzarella , proscuitto , onions , tomatoes, and red peppers. These dishes looked like they could have fed a table of 10! For dinner we chose the Parrillada para dos that was piled high with all types of different grilled meat. It came out a little overcooked and the chimmichurri sauce was not as fresh as I would have liked it. All in all I am a meat lover and devoured my food anyways. Would def love to come back here and highly recommend this restaurant to everybody.
Excellent service and food is outstanding constantly. An excellent restaurant overall. Always happy to return.
Great place for steak that is not overpriced. Nice ambience for couples.
My brother, sister-in-law, and I took my dad for his 60th birthday. We were greeted warmly by the host and seated in the front window. The decor/ambiance is warm and inviting. Our server appeared to be new, and had to look at the menu to know what we were trying to order, but everything came out correctly once we worked out the confusion. Between us we had had the steak and eggs, the ground beef/potato/cheese casserole, the sirloin, and the lemon chicken. It was all delicious and cooked perfectly. It did take quite a bit of time to get the appetizers and food from when we ordered, and we were there a couple hours as a result, but it was understandable as it was a packed Saturday night. I would definitely go back!
Loved the atmosphere and service of the restaurant. The food was very good also paired with nice bottle of wine or Sangria. If you love beef and Chimichurri this is the place to go. They tend to cook a little more than asked for, so when asked for how well to cook the meat, then make sure to adjust your request accordingly.
We have dined at Tango several times in the past year and have always enjoyed it's great food and good service. We were a little concerned with a review that suggested the service had been less than the typically efficient and friendly service to which we have become accustomed. All seems to be back on track - our four steaks arrived cooked to perfection after a very appropriate interval from the timely delivery of the empanadas. Our verdict? Relax Arlington, Tango is back on track!
As always we enjoyed Tango once again, my fook was cooked perfect , the wine was great
and service was outstanding
The food was good, and we had an overall great time. The wait staff was attentive. Valet parking would be a wonderful addition and would assure that I would go again, particularly in the winter. Don't want to have to drive around Arlington again for 20 minutes in search of parking.
Tango has been one of my favorite restaurants for some time now, but this latest visit, the service was absolutely horrendous. They recently remodeled and added another room of tables and a bar -- probably doubled the amount of patrons, but unfortunately, it seems, they did not double the staff. The waiter disappeared for extended periods of time, screwed up our order, never brought us bread until I asked, had to be reminded to bring our drinks. It wasn't just us either, the table next to us had their orders all messed up, the couple behind us complained at one point after having been seated for an hour and not having had their order taken.
I'd visit Tango again, but not until they figure out how to serve this many people.
I got the flank steak and my wife had the short ribs. Neither were too flavorful and both were undercooked and on the tough side. After our food arrived we didn't see the waitress again until we were finished. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for our table and when we asked the bartender what was in a particular drink he didn't know, surprising since the drink was listed as the Argentinean national drink and it is supposed to be an Argentinean restaurant.
Always a great meal and a great time at Tango
Good meat and potatoes kind of meal. Nothing too fancy or elaborate - a tasty chunk of meat and 2 small, simple sides.
We had a fabulous dinner at Tango. The skirt steak was perfection. The service is attentive without hovering. They have recently renovated, creating more space, and a bar. Even so, it wasn't overly noisy, and the place was quite busy. I'm not a flan person, but I highly recommend the flan with dulce le leche. Great flavor combination!
