Tandoori Times Indian Bistro - Glendale
The food and service were both solid. Wait time for food was a bit long but that added to the relaxation of the evening.
Seated at 6p on a Fri, not super busy... first apps didn't arrive at our table until 6:56. Food was good but took way too long... kitchen seemed behind.
Food came out very slow and they forget to put in my children’s dinner order. After about an hour we asked for the bill and left. Sad experience. This place used to be really cool.
Best Indian food!!!
Food was fabulous! Service was fabulous! I wanted to try everything in the menu. Can't wait to come back!
It was the best Indian food that we have enjoyed in the last ten years!
Love this place, food is always great and staff is very friendly.
When we first showed up they said they didn’t have our reservation even though I had made it weeks in advance and confirmed it. They sat us an extra table they had so it was fine at first. After about 10 minutes of sitting we hadn’t had anyone come to our table or even bring us menus but my date and I were just enjoying each others company and I’m not one to complain or make a fuss. Finally we got our menus and were able to order but after an hour still had not gotten our food, gotten a water refill, or even seen our waitress. We noticed some very big parties coming in so I figured they were just scrambling to get them all seated. The next time we saw our waitress was when she came over to ask us to MOVE to a crappy random table in the corner of the restaurant because a group that had come in did not need but WANTED the table we were seated at.... we got up and moved to the other desolate table for approximately 2 minutes before we realized it had been over an hour since we placed our food order, we were starving, and our water (that we finally got refills for after moving) tasted like yogurt so we got up and booked it out of there to go get In n Out instead. Wasn’t the best Valentine’s Day I’ve ever had but my date and I definitely had fun laughing about the whole horrible experience on our way to finally get some food after
Valentine’s Day, food very good, service not so good. Waited quite awhile for food.
Great food and a wonderful atmosphere. They have a belly dancer who performs (this was a Saturday evening) that really adds to the ambiance. Service was great.
Thanks for your review and comments , we appreciate it.
Great food and service
We spent the evening in celebration of a birthday and enjoyed every minute. The food was exceptional and made to order as far as "heat" perfectly. Loved the soft music - what a change of pace from everywhere else that has music blasting so loud you can't hear conversation or a TV blaring! Our service was also impeccable - our server made the event very special in how we were treated. This will be our new "go-to" place!!
We appreciate your review and positive comments . Hope to see you back soon. Thx
Decent food. Too spicy. Belly dancers were distracting from our talk
I love coming to this restaurant! It was for my birthday celebration and they really made me feel special. It was a little warm but not uncomfortable. I will definitely return again and continue to bring friends to experience the great food and atmosphere.
We highly appreciate your review and comments. See you back soon. Thx
Excellent food and excellent service. One of those neighborhood restaurants that make one dine there frequently. It has been a pleasant surprise.
We appreciate your review and hope to keep seeing you back. Thx
I used to visit the Tandoori Times in Scottsdale regularly. I had no idea that there was a location in Glendale. I am so happy because I love Tandoori Times. Great, authentic Indian food!
Thanks for your positive review, will keep the good work up. Thanks
We’ve eaten a lot of Indian food around the world. This place is authentic, halal, excellently, exceptionally tasty. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Ask for Chris - amazing, attentive waiter. Highly recommend.
We appreciate your review and comments. Thanks
Our waitress was wonderful. She interacted with our kids, kept our drinks full. The kids enjoyed dancing with the belly dancer and received a certificate from her. Our family will be back again.
Fun evening with the belly dancer. Hospitable service. Good food! Saag paneer some of the best ever!
Excellent! This is a great restaurant with wonderful friendly service. Had the tandoori lamb chops and makhani chicken. Both delicious and we ate every bite. Will definitely go back
A superb blend of perfectly seasoned food and exquisite decor makes this restaurant a must go to experience. This restaurant if you're a true foodie should be on your bucket list....simply amazing. I had the lamb Briyani and my girlfriend had the Chicken Tikka Masala. Also, they have awesome little appetizers if you love lamb like me try the Lamb Kebab and the Tandoori Naan bread was perfectly paired with our dishes.
Hope to go back soon when I'm in town.
Great find. As good as the best Indian restaurants we have experienced in London,
Tokyo, or Mumbai, or New Delhi.
Our server Tammy did a great job and was very helpful with the extensive menu.
Great restaurant first time eating India food. It was delicious will return in the near future.
If nothing else, the NAAN bread tops it all off. Quiet, clean and friendly.
Our initial signal should have been the fact that our reserved table was not set up and the place was obviously bustling with patrons and a lot of take out diners waiting for orders.
The host was a lovely woman who tried to get us set up but was unable to prevent our disastrous evening.
We received drinks within the first 10 minutes, but those with cocktails had to wait 7 minutes longer and the Long Island Iced Tea looked like a Tequila Sunrise. We ordered naan initially but waited 25 minutes for a basket of 2 which was consumed between 5 hungry people within seconds. It was delicious and hot!
I had to find our server to get our order taken. There were only 2 servers and our was also bartender and helped in the kitchen too. After an hour and 15 minutes from entering we got up to leave as dinner had not yet come. Our server rushed over to tell us that it was ready and encouraged us to stay.
We did. Our food was not hot but at that point we were famished and the flavors were good. Our server was very apologetic but the damage was done.
The belly dancer was energetic and circled the room but the music was much too loud and hurt our ears.
The bussers were both hustling and tried to attend as much as they could with water refills etc. They were also apologetic.
We received a basket of naan for free because of our wait....big deal...we won't be returning.
My husband said the bathroom was not clean.
Also a good indicator of a poorly run establishment.
We heard the owner was out of the country.
Delicious food - best naan bread ever. Tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala were incredible, just the right amount of spice and perfectly seasoned. Free chai tea, yum. Great place, we'll be back for sure!
Excellent beginning to end, Chicken Kabobs were Fabulous!
This is one of our favorite places to eat, especially for the Indian food.
Our server was not very attentive. There was another server who appeared to be more attentive to her customers. There is a woman belly dancing to 4 songs on the hour. She was dancing for tips. It was a little distracting. One song would have been cute. 4 songs was too many.
We waited 45 minutes after ordering until we got our food. The service and the food were slow. But when we got the food, it was very good. Everybody ate everything on their plates. The food is worth the wait.
If you have never enjoyed Indian cuisine, this is the place to start. The friendly, helpful staff guides you to dishes you'll like, food arrives hot (in more ways than one), and the tastes are bright and sparkling. Go with a group and dinner becomes a tasting party. Small but thoughtful wine l list, and a few beers from India make for adventurous sipping.
Food and service were very good; not so keen on the belly dancer!
Google Maps got me real lost going there and I was about ready to just give up. Very glad I did not and the food was amazing. Great tastes, well presented, cannot wait to go back.
The restaurant is a favorite of mine. I especially enjoy the fast, friendly service I've experienced every time I've been to this location. The belly dancing is always an exceptional treat to see.
We enjoyed our dinner at the Tandiri Times. We did forget that the portions are quite large and ordered too much food. On the other hand Indian food makes great leftovers. We had the tandoori chicken which was very flavorful.
We were there on a Saturday evening and there was a belly dancer for entertainment.
This is a very good India restaurant and well worth the trip to find it. We love Indian food and this place really has some excellent specials from Northern India. And order the Mango lassi..one of the best I ever had as was the mango Icecream for dessert. The luncheon specials were a great value.
Great flavors in a friendly ambiance. Great value. Nice chai tea!
Amazing! They even baked a cake that is not on the menu for my son.
We were treated so well!!!
Went as a group of 14 ladies for a retirement evening dinner. Not our first time here, been as a group for Christmas parties and birthdays. Also my husband and I enjoy a date night here. The food is awesome, never had a disappointing meal ever. The staff are just great, friendly, helpful and accommodating. Nice evening out.
I was excited about trying another well reviewed Indian food restaurant in the valley and sadly I was really disappointed. The ambience was very bland. We were sat a a 2 top right next to the wall which was really dirty and we were right by the ice machine which is oddly located on the way to the bathroom. I almost jumped out of my seat when the machine filled due to the noise. The menu is quite extensive and they offer great descriptions, but for someone who loves Indian food I wanted to try the best dishes there and was guided to the beginner dishes. Needless to say the service was very lack luster, food was average and sadly I won't be back. My business stays loyal to a different Indian restaurant in the valley.
I love this place, this has the best Indian food I've ever had. The Korma had a good flavor, creamy and the right amount of spice. The only (minor) thing I don't like about it is that, while most Indian food places serve rice with their meals, this place charges extra for it. Mind you, the rice is excellent and has good flavor, but it would be nice if it came with the meal, not be charged extra $3 for it.
