Tandoor & Co. Restaurant
We were a big group for lunch and they took care of us
Some of the best Indian food in the city. I no longer live in the neighborhood, but my girlfriend and I come every year because it’s worth the trip.
The ambiance of the place is very bright and colorful. We went on a Saturday for brunch buffet and the food was scrumptious! There were so many varieties such as chicken masala and chili paneer that I was a bit overwhelmed. We were a party of 16 and the service could of been better. We had to keep calling our waiter to order drinks and they could’ve been a bit attentive. However, they did let us bring cake for our celebration which was a plus.
Food was amazing and service was fast!
Food quality was not what you would expect from a name like TANDOOR.
Food was delicious, staff was friendly and accommodating, decor was dated and the booths were not comfortable and stained.
Upon entering the restaurant, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy my experience, but I did and the saag paneer coupled with the plain naan was the best I have ever had. So rich and delicate. I would order from this place every night if I lived a little closer. So good!!!!
This is actually a Nepalese restaurant, which is similar to southern Indian but even better.
Downsides: tandori meat is sometimes overcooked and the nan breads are just OK.
Upsides: the food is consistently wonderfully flavorful and perfectly cooked, even on the buffet table. (I eat here at least once a week.)
The restaurant is clean and well taken care of, and the staff takes pride in their jobs.
A nice plus: you do not have to enter the restrooms to wash your hands. There is a sink in the entry alcove to the restrooms!
The food was very good, nice atmosphere, near excellent service. The waiters were very attentive. Not sure why some people had issues with this establishment, but I would rate it 9 from 1-10😁
Normally empty for dinner, but a ton of take out orders. Food is hot and fresh. Nice local spot.
The waiter was always looking to the man at the table as if to approve the orders. He also returned the card to a man even though a woman paid.
The waiters don't bring you menus because they assume you will serve yourself at the buffet. The food at the buffet didn't look that good so we ordered from the menu after we asked for it. The food was alright, not bad but not great either. The portions were good.
The Kulfie (Icecream) was awful.
Excellent service, courteous staff. Food is always fresh and served with care.
We have eaten at Tandoor & Co. at least 20 times. Never once has a dish been less than excellent. In addition to a large selection of the standard Indian offerings, there are a few unusual dishes. The portions are substantial and the prices better than reasonable.
Tandoor & Co. has a lunch buffet seven days a week. It is never crowded for dinner. It should always be.
We enjoyed our meal at Tandoor & Co. The service was excellent. We found the food to taste great. Portions were generous and pricing was fair.
We would certainly go back again.
We go to Tandoor to celebrate birthdays and special days. We love the Seafood Dinner, great assortment, fish is tender and perfect. With a couple of dishes and naan, 4 adults are full with left overs to enjoy the next day. We often find ourselves daydreaming about our meal for the next week.
Great Indian food. Had about 6 different dishes between 4 of us and each were very good. Chicken Tikka was superb
Really enjoyed the great service
Service and food was the best indian food me and my fiancé have ever had. Best bet is the tandoori dinner special more than enough for 2 ppl. Will return.
The food was great but the service was not great. Some people around were complainig to the manager. Poor manager :(, when they are in rush the service get below average.
The food was excellent and the service was very good and attentive without hovering. I liked how they gave you fresh plates and held them with a napkin so they don't actually touch the plate itself. They replaced the bread without asking.
We had visited Tandoor many times when it was in a bigger space across the street from where it is now. We moved away and hadn't been there in many years. We visited again and were not disappointed. The food is plentiful and tasty. We were there early (6:00 PM) so it was pretty empty and the waiters were kind of hanging around. I hope the place keeps getting business because it is the best Indian food in the Rego Park/Forest Hills area.
If you can get by the dirty appearance -et here - food was great
I have passed this restaurant everyday on my way to work. I decided to take my husbands and my parents for my husbands birthday. The waiters were super friendly and the food was actually very good. I would definitely recommend.
The food was ok I've had better but the service
Delicious Indian food and friendly staff make this a great neighborhood place.
The food is really exceptional and so is the service.
