Great service! The staff is very friendly and attentive. The place is very loud though…they have music blasting and with all of the other conversations you’ll have to shout at the person sitting across the table. The sushi was good though the rolls are tiny compared to other places.
Sushi and food was sweeter than a normal Sushi place. Too much sugar or sweetener. Very Americanized. Inside is very loud, hard to hear each other. Service was very good.
sadly my dinner companion does not love sushi so we ordered the tempura to start. The crust was very thick and moist, the shrimp were fine but a far cry from the crisp and delicate dish I have experienced ordering this elsewhere. My sushi however was excellent with the most delicious sushi rice and delicate application of rice that I have ever tasted anywhere. Literally one thin layer of rice surrounding pellucidly fresh and moist salmon and tuna. Unfortunately a self described "disruptive founder" was screaming his pitch filled with expletives at the top of his lungs behind us so loudly that we could barely hear one another and we were outdoors! At least we knew for sure he was a "disrupter"-a true San Francisco dining experience that is not the fault of the establishment whence it occurred.
Lions Roll was smothered in Mayo, was not advertised to have any Mayo over the top and bottom of a California roll with salmon on top…
My family has been eating sushi once a week for over 20 years and I can’t say enough about the freshness and quality of this restaurant’s sashimi and sushi rolls. The service was outstanding as well, a place truly worth the trip.
Love the outdoor space!
A great evening, food was very good but certainly not a budget option!
Service was abysmal—I stood in front of the hostess, who was not doing anything, for a solid 5 minutes before she acknowledged my presence, once we were sat (which was significantly after our reservation time) it was 15 minutes before the server even came to the table. All the fish but the o-toro was gross (tough, not great flavor). Tempura batter was way too thick, kanpachi dish was poorly balanced. They were out of all their tea. I don’t send food back, but if I was a person who did I would have sent everything but the edamame and o-toro back. Truly awful meal.
Great dining experience! Even though we showed up right before closing they were so nice and the food was amazing.
Great sushi place!
The servers were a little aggressive in asking us if we needed anything, such that we could barely keep a conversation going and thought they may have been trying to urge us out of there. But great sushi and otherwise good service.
Great rolls, nice wine selection, and some of the best edamame I have ever had!
The standalone sushi was great, but the specialty rolls have a massive amount of sauce on top of them which masked any flavor of the fish. Service was great but there are better places to get sushi in the city.
Great flavor, interesting rolls!
Food was awesome. Service was good. Drinks were overpriced.
Food was good but not great. If I come back it would be because of the great service.
TamashiSoul Sushi Bar was a wonderful experience, especially with San Francisco's very recent reopening to some indoor dining. We did sit inside becasue it was so cold out, which was great! The food was amazing - the Red Hot Snapper is a signature for a reason... we ordered TWO! It was fresh and packed with flavor. We'd also recommend the sweet scallop and Hawaiian role if you're wanting something lighter. Overall, we can't wait to come back.
Good food, good portion sizes and reasonable pricing. They've done a great job of spacing in the outdoor space and have plenty of heat lamps. Service was great!
The sushi was fine but I prefer other options in the marina for the price point.
I love it here !
Outstanding safety precautions, they take your temperature & provide you with hand sanitizer before you're seating.
Staff is attentive & friendly. The food is OUTSTANDING. I love this place & continue to go back time & again.
Friendly staff, we were seated right away. Food came out fast and was very tasty.
Our favorite sushi spot in the Marina. Delicious menu!
Dining was outdoors but the staff made it feel warm and were happy to see us. The fish was very fresh and tasty - can't wait to go back.

Amazing sushi and service every time!
Excellent food! Best sushi rolls we have had in a long time. Great service!!!!
Great food, took a while to get served
I had a great time - went on a first date (those can sometimes be awkward) but it felt like the staff was really there for us! Also great food and kind service.
The staff was extremely accommodating with our changing reservation, we really appreciated their flexibility!
Glad that Tamashisoul is back in the game! Love this place. Great sushi and drinks. The outdoor seating was good, but I’m thinking non-see-through plastic between booths would be best. The sun was intense and if you’re going to create a screen to separate tables, why not black it out to promote privacy...and to keep the sun out.
Great experience and food!
They just opened back up this week after closing due to Covid. Sushi, goyza, and the avocado bomb were all fantastic. Service was a little slower but we were there to eat and enjoy our time so no complaints from me!
Truly sushi as an art.
Great sushi spot! The avocado bomb is amazing! Great spot for a date or just dinner with friends. Can be casual or on the slightly nicer date night option.
We waited 40 minutes after our appetizers had come for our sushi rolls. 40 MINUTES. Normally I wouldn’t complain about something like this but others who had come in after us had received their food before we had. I work in the food service industry and understand that stuff like this happens but an explanation was not given at any point. Also we came on a Friday night and it was incredibly loud. My party and I had to yell at one another over the table because the music was way too loud. In fact I asked a waitress if it was possible to turn the music down and neighboring tables thanked me for speaking up. Average food, horrible wait, but interesting restaurant
Second time visiting - our waitress remembered us - fantastic service and food!
We went during the blackouts in Marin bc of the Kincade & the restaurant was super busy for a Monday night. We sat at the bar & our bartender was busy, but still was super on top of everything and so helpful! He chose both of our sakes, which were delicious. The lights could have been a little dimmer, but that’s just splitting hairs. Great dinner. Definitely will go back.
Arrived at 645 on a Saturday night - place was not crowded, so did not experience the din that some other diners have experienced. Ordered several rounds of sushi and rolls, service was fantastic - every dish was explained perfectly. Looking forward to returning!
Good food and drinks. Great service. But the music was so loud we couldn’t carry on a conversation.
