Great place for business dinners. Rich menu with lots of different options. Service is impeccable.
The food was amazing, the service excellent, and the location just perfect. One of the best restaurants in New York. Highly recommended!
Incredible all around...my Best meal out in a long time (and Open Table knows I go to great spots!). The service was as outstanding as the food and everything else!
This is our favorite restaurant in Manhattan. The food is so well prepared, authentic Indian, amazing flavors. I bring all of my friends here.
So. Good. in every way!!!! The food was some of the best Indian I've ever had by far. The atmosphere was great. By far the best part of our evening was our waitor, AJ. He was attentive, fun, and had fabulous recommendations. He made a great night into a perfect night!!!
The food was incredible and even our young children enjoyed their first experience with authentic Indian cuisine. Our waiter, Vinay, was so attentive and helped pick out the perfect items for both us and our kids. Vinay made the experience an amazing one. Strongly suggest you ask for Vinay when you visit!
Great as usual.
Lovely restaurant with very flexible, helpful staff even providing curry’s that were not on the menu! Very good! Definitely recommend
Always the best. I call this the value Michelin star— best in class service, amazing ambiance, and most important great food. It’s fairly priced all things considered.
I always recommend and continue to come back!
We have been going to Tamarind for over a decade. Great food, lovely service, nice ambience. Looking forward to our next visit!
The Owner is gracious, friendly and a gentleman. He always remembers us each time we go and is very welcoming.
Vinay was a fantastic server and the food was excellent!
We have visited Tamarind several times - the food is amazing and this visit didn’t disappoint in that respect either. Unfortunately the service left a little to be desired though, he was slow to welcome us, and really couldn’t be bothered the entire time. Obviously our party was not big enough to warrant attention! Shame, we’ll be back though, the delicious food ensures that!!
Finest Indian restaurant in NYC (and there are lots of them). Food, service, and ambiance all outstanding. And the Masaledar Lamb chops are the best lamb chops on the planet. Period.
This was my second time to Tamarind and I love this place. The food is outstanding- flavorful and interesting. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service is very good. This is a top notch place with high prices but worth it for a business meal or a celebration private meal.
this place has really changed in the past few years. disappointing
Loved the food and excellent service by Vinod
This was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. First of all the food was divine!! It was so authentic and the flavors were impeccable. Our waiter, Vinay was so lovely and knowledgeable. He helped us find the best dishes on the menu and also recommended excellent drink suggestions to go with the food. He made our experience even more memorable. At the end of the meal, the manager also came over to check on us, and we had noticed him talking to all the tables and being present the whole time we were there.
This was a fantastic dinner and we will be back!!
We had a wonderful meal here on a Friday night. We sat upstairs and could watch the kitchen and the diners downstairs. The food was all superb with complex flavors and just the right heat. Our waiter guided us to dishes that matched well with how he described them. The service was excellent as well.
Our server Vinay was outstanding. Happy, helpful, great recommendations and amazing service.
The service and food were excellent. The lamb chops and the venison chops were unbelievable.
Great dinner with friends / business associates. Excellent value for the quality of food and experience. The service was wonderfully timed and efficient. The cauliflower and potato dish was proof that a great veggie dish is better than meat. Don't miss though the Tandoori chicken and the rosemary naan. The wine selection is strong - I suggest the reisling section.
Loved our experience at Tamarind, start to finish! Delicious food, fabulous service and great atmosphere! Can't wait to go back next time we're visiting NYC!
I have been coming here for years now and have always liked the food. The service and ambiance is exceptional. However, after my visit this time I was disappointed with the food. Most of the items we ordered were either too spicy or hot and we didn’t enjoy the food one bit. Most of the times we order the same things that we like, this time however we wanted to try other items on the menu and they were disappointing. I will think about coming here again and if I do, will stick to what I typically order from the menu I guess!
We have been going there for years because everything is just simply perfect and we will never change our Indian favorite place.
We've been fans of Tamarind throughout the years, it's always been a favorite in Tribeca. But this last time we went we were so underwhelmed by the food, I hardly ate any of it. The minced lamb and curried lamb chops were too heavy too spicy and not at all interesting in flavor. We didn't even want the curried lamb chops, we wanted grilled ones, but the waiter insisted we go for the special, which sneakily ended up being $50 on the bill. The seabass main and coconut prawns starter were good, but not spectacular. We didn't order any alcohol, just 2 starters, 2 mains and a dessert, and the bill came to a whopping $200. I feel like the food we had was on par with Brick Lane Indian food (in London), a cheap dining experience costing less than $20/person, yet we paid 5 times that because it's Tribeca and not East London. I was so disappointed, I wish I would've stayed at home and ordered from Seamless. What a waste of money and a night out. We're not going back.
Our experience was wonderful. All of the food was delicious and out server AJ was truly exceptional. Will definitely be back!
The best Indian food I’ve ever had, out of about 100 restaurants in the USA and Great Britain over the last 35 years. Must be one of the 20 best restaurants in NYC.
Great ambience, and atmosphere, great service and food; definitely worth the price.
Vinay was a great server
Service was superb. Our server Vinay was super attentive and knew the menu very well. He even made some great recommendations. The general manager came over to say hell as well. Decour is lovely. I’ve been here many times and will continue to go back.
Our waiter Chad made our experience exceptional.
1) Fantastic ambience
2) Great service
3) Fine menu
4) Fine food
1) Not the best Indian food in town
Overall, great for an outing.
Mr. Walia and the staff run a phenomenal hospitality service here. Great food, great drinks, great people, great experience. A1 mixologists, extensive wine selection, and amazing ambiance and space.
The best Indian food in the US .
I went to celebrate my anniversary there! The place was nice I went on recommendation! However they could not give me a nice table which I requested! It was really busy! The food was good!
Birthday dinner. Guidance and assistance was terrific and the food was sumptuous!!!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. The food is always delicious and also the cocktails. You can eat at a very nice bar area, or in the restaurant which is comfortably set up with booths and tables. I would highly recommend.
Our waiter Vinay was the best! He made jokes and gave us great suggestions. Amazing place and dinner.
