   This was my first visit to Tamarind, but it will not be the last. I was with a party of four, so we tried four different (vegetarian) dishes, and all of them were wonderful. Our cocktails were also delicious. Maybe too pricey for most people's everyday, but a lovely spot for celebrating -- and an excuse for coming up with special occasions!

   My lunch there with an old friend who was visiting from Virginia was spectacular. Great service, relaxing ambience and the food was delicious. Tamarind Tribeca never disappoints. It's one of my favorite restaurants in New York City.

   It was noisy due to acoustics. Hard to hear each other so everybody is loud. Food was modest in taste. Not very special. Had expectations high with all stars and reviews. A bit pricey for what I got. We had chicken in creamy coconut sauce - very dry chicken meat (big chunks that make you full fast) with a sauce that can be done at home. Halibut was OK, the fish itself did not taste much but the sauce was good. Samosas were the best. The shrimp appetizer was good as well. Happy with the cocktails.

   This restaurant came highly recommended by several friends, so I decided to celebrate my partner’s birthday there. I couldn’t have been happier. The restaurant is large and lovely, the menu extensive, and the service is courteous and attentive. Every dish we ordered was delicious, seriously the best samosas I’ve had in a decade. And the tamarind sauce was perfect. Biryani. shrimp - it was all yummy. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant, it’s terrific.

    Great night amazingly delicious dinner. Staff from the Managers to the service team is very humble and friendly with prompt service and explanation. Very delightful. Owner is intimidating. Will return.

    Sublime Indian fare in an airy, elegant setting. The lentils might be my new favorite food. Service is prompt, cheerful and attentive. Will definitely be back to try more dishes!

    Great meal at Tamarind. Love the restaurant - classy, spacious, great service and delicious Indian food. No bells and whistles- just good North Indian food which I appreciate. The kebabs- specially lamb kebab and chicken Reshmi was felt; breads made in the tandoor was superb. Highly recommended!

    Really enjoyed our meal! It was a Valentine's Day treat. I ordered the PUDINA PARATHA ( bread), MASALA GOSHT (Lamb in a creamy onion sauce, whole crushed spices, red wine, shiitake mushrooms) and BATAKI KOSHA . Everything was delicious. I especially recommend the duck rolls (Bataki Kosha). SO delicious. I ordered the Cardamon Blossom (Cardamon infused vodka, Guava puree, Violet mint tea, lime juice)

    Lovely restaurant and service! Went for Restaurant Week during lunch, and it was quiet and not at all crowded. The food was also amazing from start to finish! My friend and I shared 4 of the entrees - halibut, lamb, mushroom, and vegetables, and I especially loved the mushroom and the lamb, as well as the chicken appetizer. I would love to go back another time!

    The samosa and cauliflower appetizers were great. I ordered the baghare baingan with garlic spinach rice which was exquisite. My partner ordered the lamb chops and was dissatisfied; it was underwhelming and lacked flavor. Overall, pleasant dining experience.

    Always a pleasure to dine at Tamarind. As soon as you enter the delicious scent of the spices draws you in, you look forward to your meal. The chilli crab is so delicious. I ordered the lamb vindaloo chops special with a side of garlic naan. The food was simply delicious. I ordered a bottle of Sequoia wine to go with my meal. Dessert was the perfect ending, so many options but we ended up splitting the coconut mousse bombe cake. We will definitely be back to try other entrees and desserts.

    Our dinner was absolutely amazing. I have a background in f&b and wine distribution. My wife is originally from India and an amazing cook in her own right.We are rarely blown away by a dining experience, but This was exceptional. From the food's authenticity to the superb service and timing. From our server Sam and his crew to the politeness of management. Truly top notch.

    All the fish entrees ordered were excellent! Malai kofta was terrible… too sweet and not as we are used too. Perhaps they can rework the method. Murgh malai and hara bara kabab were awesome! Overall a wonderful dining experience.
