The server repeatedly got the wrong food even after confirming twice. The same happened with the dessert.
Talking bout food, chicken wasn’t tender. Fish was okayish.
We love Tamarind. But we decided to sit outdoors in one of the cabins. Service was not as good as indoors. The street noise was unwelcome. The food incredible as was the wine. We will be back.
The overall experience was AMAZING. Vanay aka Vinny was our kind & pleasant server.
He made us feel so welcomed.
Great for vegetarian options
Place is great, really nice interior. Enjoyed a mocktail and server was great (even though trying to upsell a little too eagerly). I ordered the lamb special and it was tough, hard to cut through and fatty. Not the best meal, wish I would have ordered something else. Samosas were delicious!
The food was absolutely outstanding. Prepared as we asked and spicy for the dishes we requested be spicy.
We went during restaurant week and ordered the special menu. Not great value or food from the special menu. But overall, the regular menu is good.
Wonderful all the way around!
Beautiful space, though becoming a bit dated. Service started out rocky as they looked for an indoor table and then requested we wait by the bar (which was at full capacity). Had to lurk awkwardly by the bar for 25 minutes before being seated. The food was generally excellent with the exception of the Chicken Korma which was dry. Disappointed management did not make any efforts to make up for the delayed seating.
By far our favourite Indian restaurant! We always visit Tamarind when we are in NYC!
Amazingly delicious, incredible atmosphere; a must!
Food was great as always, service was not up to usual standards.
As a fan on Indian food, everything was impeccable. Hit every spot expected when it comes to elevated Indian cuisine. And yes, they used tamarind in many creative ways on their menu, which did not disappoint.
Our favorite NYC Indian restaurant. Never disappoints. Really enjoyed the special cauliflower appetizer and lamb special entree. Very generous portions- always enough to take home. Great cocktails too!
Great meal, servers seemed busy. Lovely cocktails
While the space is impressive and welcoming, the food is basically what you would expect from your neighborhood Indian takeout - if that. It’s essentially aggressively overpriced mediocre Indian in a very nice ambience.
Service was good, but seemed to be stretched a little thin given that the place was full.
Not a bad experience overall - but very poor value for the money. I will not return.
Wonderful experience. Excellent service. Beautiful ambiance. Delicious flavorful meals!
We eat 4 times there since fall of 2020, this time was least fresh, tasty. Hope to see improvements, or at least not dropping down.
Delicious, authentic food. It’s worth every single cent. I also love the service, it’s so smooth and professional.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Tamarind Tribeca. The food was flavorful, the ambiance was comfortable and energetic, and the staff were friendly. The left over food was also neatly packed. Though there were some initial complications with our reservation and seating, everything was sorted out in a timely and respectful manner. Our family had a memorable experience at the restaurant and we will definitely recommend it to friends.
Below average food, will not go again
Friends from Boston were in town and requested Tamarind due to the lack of a great Indian Restaurant there. Very accommodating with a booth, and the flexibility to request dishes off the menu. Almost top quality, a little quiet due to the impending storm, and a bit pricey but you get what you pay for!
Great food, cocktails and atmosphere. Staff are friendly and attentive
I love Tamarind! One if my favorite NYC spots. Food, service, and ambiance are all excellent.
Excellent service and creative food.
Food was delicious and so were the drinks! Truly enjoyed every bite!
The staff was rushed and not very attentive, had to remind them that they were missing items from my order.
Waiter carrying 4 orders/plates in his hands to bring to the table all at once - just tells me where things stand with this -once high end restaurant. It seems to be coasting on its name/reputation, rather than good service.
Food was good but nothing to talk about - do go there once or twice a year for the ambiance and convenience.
The prices however have not changed.
Tamarind Tribeca never disappoints. Now having lived in the NYC Metro for 10 years, Tamarind is the restaurant we dine at most often. They offer the best Indian cuisine in a very upscale restaurant with superior service. And the atmosphere is among the best in all of Manhattan.
My goto is Chicken Korma while my wife prefers the Kerala Fish Curry. They also serve the best Martini's in lower Manhattan! Highly recommend Tamarind to anyone who loves great food, great atmosphere and exceptional service.
Hands down the best Indian cuisine in the City !
Loved it as always!
Amazing service and food
Great ambiance and terrific food. Hara bhara kebab was a favorite!
We loved the food, service and the ambiance. Punjabi mutton entre was excellent. Chicken tikka masala was kids favorite.
Once again Tamarind does not disappoint, great staff amazing food and cocktails
The lunch menu was fabulous. One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve Raton in. Highly recommended.
It was SO disappointing. Should have known once we were headed upstairs that it would not be like past experiences. We were seated next to a table with a dozen people, another table of six. We were overwhelmed by the noise level and waiter was too busy taking care of groups. Obviously, impacted our relationship with food.
Not worth the michelin star. Had better indian food in less known places with better presentation.
This restaurant did not disappoint. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the ambiance was perfect for a date night. I will definitely be returning.
Wonderful, quiet atmosphere.. all attention and comforts..to all the guests.. Best Indian cuisine- wonderful!
On a beautiful summer evening we decided to try Tamarind. It was GREAT. The food was heavenly, the service was extremely competent and friendly, and we sat outside, cooled by a fan in a little private booth. It was a great experience all around.
