Great steaks, food service, and nightly specials. Come in every few months. Great menu and service. Quiet and comfortable.
We good steaks & lamb. Nice autmosphere & service.
Inattentive service. No sense of etiquette.
Best steak in town and great service! The soups and sides change and are always delicious.
Dinner a great. Service was mediocre
Exceptional in every way. The server was helpful and pleasant. All three of us had the 6 oz. Fillet. The meat was very tasty and tender.
The presentation as always was outstanding. We celebrated joint birthdays and had the scrumptious coconut cake.
Our waiter Jake was the best. He was very polite and his service was great. He knew the menu and the specials, also offering some suggestions as well. First time going to the restaurant and will definitely be back.
Came for dinner but not asked about the birthday until leaving
We recently moved to Reno. This was our second visit to the restaurant. The food was excellent.
Really enjoyed the food and service, as this was our first time eating here. Took a little long time waiting for a bottle of wine we ordered. Had the prime rib and the sea bass...both excellent and done to perfection....Last comment: I indicated on my Open Table reservation that it was a Birthday occasion...either that wasn't passed along to the restaurant or they didn't catch it on the reservation. Regardless, the restaurant staff didn't even ask if it was a special occasion despite us opening a gift while seated at the table...Overall, can't complain and we'll definitely come back....
We were unable to get a booth, so we were squeezed between a table for two and a table of four (plus a baby)! The tables are just too close together to offer any type of privacy. The staff was friendly, but not the worth the drive.
Excellent food and service. Excellent steaks, cooked exactly as ordered. Nice vegetables and salads as well.
Great steakhouse! Highly under rated!
The food was amazing and served perfectly. The ambiance was quiet and the wait staff was very responsive. We were visit Reno from California for a short vacation. This restaurant will be part of our future trips as well.
It is pretty good. Lamb chops are a favorite. portions are large
Excellent food and the service was right on...always a pleasure...steaks were great and seafood was magnificent
Ahi tuna appetizer and lobster soup was very, very good. Disappointed with the peppercorn steak and the Alaskan Halibut.... just average. But the clincher was the coconut cream cake.....DEEELISH!
Great staff and service :-)
I always have a great time at this place. However the bartender was not up on cocktails. That is the only thing that could have been better. The food was on point.
We were seated in one of those tables for two and it was awful. Way too close to the other people. I could not even hear my husband speak because the noise from the bar was so loud and the people next to us were as well. It ruined my birthday dinner. Sally
A truly memorable experience for my wife’s birthday. The wait staff and food were both excellent. Service was paced well and we left totally satisfied. Recommend highly.
My husband and I ate at Tamarack Junction Steak House for the first time for his birthday. From the time we walked in to the moment we left, the experience was superb. Our server Jake was great. The food was fabulous! I ordered the Sea Bass and my husband the filet mignon. We will be back.
Best steaks in town! Lived here 46 years and tried them all!
We thought the food was very good and the service exceptional. We will be going back to try some of their other menu items. We had the regular cut of prime rib, which was more than enough to eat. Their dinner rolls where extremely good.
Great food. Love the help. I dine there often and I have never had bad meal.
This was a pre Easter dinner, date night, with my husband, son and good friend. We sat in the bar and had a couple of drinks prior to our reservation. The service in the bar was very slow, and there were very few patrons. I had to ask for service more than once.
However, the restaurant seating was very professional and very attentive. The lamb chops were perfect, the ribeyes were perfect and the cooking at the table for the Steak Diane was beautiful. We also chose Caesar salad, and it was prepared at the table, with anchovies. Thank you for a delicious meal.
The food was very good, and deserved "best" steak house. Their steaks were very tasty and the price point was worth it - but they still need to work on their other items - like our fish was dry and over-cooked. However, all in all we will go back to give it another try. They've got the steaks down, now they need to do the same with the rest.
The Chilean Sea Bass was outstanding. The service was excellent. We will return.
Michael took excellent care of us! Dinner was exceptional!
Will definitely make this a regular dining spot.
Prime rib and Lamb were excellent.
The steakhouse is a local favorite attached to the tamarack casino..food is always great and the wine list is excellent
Intimate steakhouse in a little casino. Friendly, professional staff. Classic table side preparation for some menu items. Mika was engaging and friendly. She took very good care of us. The escargot was delicious. Prepared with lots of butter and garlic. Table side Caesar was delicious and large portioned. Chilean sea bass was great. Served with lobster, asparagus, mashed potatoes and a hollandaise sauce. Excellent experience overall.
The food was fantastic. Steak was cooked perfectly. Service was excellent. A little pricey, but it was sooooo good. Definitely going back.
The service was premier. The food portions were good - the selection of steaks offered were from 6 oz to 22 oz . I had planned on the rib-eye 22 oz because I wanted the larger portion size - but instead had the special a 15 oz rib eye with something, something and something - I completely missed whatever accompanied it - leading me to believe it was a very small amount. Regardless the rest of the accompaniments were well portioned and tasty . I was impressed with menu and the specials and because it was a celebration I enjoyed a handcrafted libation - ginger sour. The dining area had booths and tables. The booths had high enough backs to make it seem very private. My dinner partner is hearing impaired and usually difficult to converse with in a restaurant, we were in a booth and had no trouble - a table might have been different. All in all the service was outstanding (Michael), the steak was perfectly cooked, and the setting was great for dad and daughter to celebrate a birthday.
Birthday for my wife
My date had prime rib and he always raves about it. No need for a menu, he knows what he likes. I had the sea bass and it is always prepared to perfection. By the way, the cranberry rolls are back and they are always scrumptious.
The Tamarack Steak House has become one of our favorites. The food and service is consistently excellent. Everything perfectly prepared. Our favorite appetizer is their Crab and Lobster Napoleon, crab and lobster meat stacked with Avocado, finished with micro greens and a light, sweet chili sauce... YUM!
This is one of our favorite restaurants. I have difficulty hearing in noisy restaurants and this one is perfect for me. Also, the food is awesome. The staff is friendly and they make you feel that they really care. The head chef is also a great person. Really enjoy this restaurant!
We go here for the steak Diane, (cooked tableside). They’re located in a small casino, so you’re not walking miles to get to the restaurant.
Loved it. We always love it. The food, drinks, and service is the best in town and it’s not close.
The food, wine and service was fantastic. My wife and I will continue to make this restaurant as one of our top dining out spots.
