   Please bring back the traditional attire for the wait staff. T-shirt and jeans must be practical for them, but I can't help feeling I'm in a chain restraurant/sports bar. FYI I'm a female.

   The atmosphere is most cozy & lovely. Voices of Christmas carolers are amazing - we heard various Christmas carols and they are a fun and professional bunch!! The short ribs were super delicious - would definitely order again!!

   What a wonderful dinner! The restaurant had hung up an array of beautiful holiday decor and there were Carolers going through the restaurant taking requests. I highly recommend this for holiday dinners. It was a very magical evening.

   We knew we had to go to the Tam O Shanter when we visited LA. We are huge Disney fans and that is how we heard about it. After more research and finding out about all of the other amazing history, we got even more excited. Jonathan was our waiter and was fantastic. The prime rib was exactly as expected, Perfect. And I wish I could make a Yorkshire Pudding like that!

   Historic restaurant, beautifully decorated for Christmas! Grumpy lady at hostess desk, but table service excellent. Carolers singing was a festive touch. My prime rib was more like a slice of roast beef but others seemed to enjoy their food. I would visit again.

    What a fabulous place. Great environment and ambience as well as food and customer service. What a choice of Whisky and to find Bellhaven ale too. Superb. Totally recommend this place.

    New favorite restaurant! Great whiskey and wine section, food was phenomenal. Service was amazing, staff members were super nice. The Christmas Carolers as soon as you walk in added the nicest touch. Will definitely be back again.

    Everything was excellent and once the show started it was quieter. The food as always was great. The starters were great. We sat at a friendly table and met some very nice people. The actors as always were friendly and fun. Everything was decorated beautifully. Enjoyed the singing afterwards. I've been coming to the Tam for over 40 years and have always considered it a great place to eat.

    it was my first time there and I was really looking forward to experience the indoor ambience to celebrate my brother’s birthday. Sadly, I was moved to an outdoor seating which I did not request since it’s away from everything, but they insisted that is what I booked which I did not. This happened to other people we overheard that were sat outside as well. Besides the outdoor seating, the food and service were really good. I do recommend that if you want to experience the ambiance inside which looked really nice, to call the restaurant and book an inside dining experience through them.

    Sad to see the changes to the menu and the staff's attire. For spending $600+ for dinner for 6 people you'd expect more. The staff doesn't wear the Scottish plaid anymore, our waitress was in jeans and a t-shirt. No more carolers during the holiday season. The menu has changed prices a little higher but the plate portions are smaller. This has been a restaurant that we have made a tradition for years but sadly after last night's dinner, we are going to find a new place to make our Holiday kick-off.

    Attended the special event Dickens Dinner. Our table missed receiving some of the appetizers and it was hard to flag down a server to let them know. This had never happened before so hopefully it was a fluke. Our entire group ordered the prime rib. One of the prime rib dinner, the meat was too salty and the sticky toffee pudding dessert wasn't that great (It usually is). Again, we hope this was just a fluke. We come to this event yearly and love the performers, singing and retelling of a Dickens classic. We will continue coming as we we thoroughly enjoy this fun time with friends and family.

    The Dicken's Christmas Carol dinner theater was outstanding, as usual. A wonderful experience that has become an annual tradition for our family. The only complaint we had was the reservation process used this year, called Open Table. It took almost three hours to book our reservation, and we could only book a maximum of six people even though we needed nine. We had to book two seperate reservations and then were not guaranteed to be at the same table. Please don't use this app for the dinner theater performances in the future.

    The Tam O'Shanter has long been a favorite spot for special occasions. We miss the carving station for lunch and hope it will return soon. Overall, the prices seem to have gone up significantly. We are hoping the Tam will soon return to its wonderful combination of great food and service, even if better prices are a thing of the past.

    Our waitress was Okay, she did not bring us bread/butter. We had asked for the ceasar salad and she forget to ask us if we wanted anchovies. We asked for them and she charged us $2.00each even though we split the salad. She never came back the entire meal. If it was not for Gabriel the bus person, who saved the meal by being super attentive we never would have had such an enjoyable time. He saved the meal in so many countless way. He should be promoted to Waiter! Thanks Gabriel the Angel! By the way My girlfriend has come here as a child for over 50years on every special occasion and she was also impressed with Gabriel attentiveness!

    Food was luke warm. I don't blame the server, she had to many tables/customers to service. The creamed spinach had no preceivable smoked bacon. The yorkshire pudding was tough & primarily air. I ordered the turkey dinner with prime rib (medium). The menu promised 2 slices of prime rib; I got 1 slice that was somewhere between rare & medium rare. On a positive note, the turkey was excellent although just warm. Being the 100th anniversary of Tam O'Shanter, I expect better.

    We had Thanksgiving dinner at the tam-o’-shanter, my mom‘s favorite restaurant. She is 91 and has been enjoying many happy occasions at this restaurant for 75 years. We arrived early for our reservation and the hostess could see that my mom was old and had difficulty walking and assigned us to a table that wasn’t as far as the one we were originally booked for. I could see in her eyes that she knew table 38 would be easier for her to get to. Everyone was friendly, from the young man who seated us and patiently asked my hard of hearing mother several times how her day was going until she understood him, to the gentleman who welcomed us and brought water to the table, lovely Tristene, who waited on us and cheerfully served cocktails, apps (scotch rarebit YUM!!!) Entrees, dessert and coffee. The busser charmed us as well. Turkey was moist, stuffing well seasoned, gravy was plentiful and the trifle as delicious as ever! We enjoyed a leisurely dinner despite the fact that the Tam was packed. It was an absolutely lovely evening and we even came home with leftovers!

    The Thanksgiving Turkey dinner was one of the worst meals I have ever had. Dry tasteless stuffing and potatoes and soggy, overcooked broccoli. The turkey was in dry chopped pieces (not sliced bit my husband’s was sliced yet still dry). Tasteless gravy. Never again.

    Love the ambience! Can’t get that at any restaurant. Prince Charlie cut, tam o Shanters cut and thanksgiving dinner plate. The bartending staff made a drink called the “Aviator” and it was delicious! Wish they would serve shrimp cocktail in a cup like tradition would have it. This place is a gem!

    Fantastic ambience! As we were waiting for our table, several couples were sharing their history and love of this historic steakhouse that named table after it's patron Walt Disney. Service here is excellent.I had one issue but it did not change my opinion or desire to return. I enjoy quality champagne with dinner, especially on special occasions. I had checked bar offerings ahead of time and saw 2 of my favorites were offered by the bottle. The one I chose was not in stock, but the Manager came to table and took care of us with another bottle that was excellent. I recommend ordering steak. This restaurant is a steakhouse and they do it well. Our menu was limited because of holiday, so we chose what we enjoyed eating and it was presented and very delicious. I also think this place would be excellent choice for business, family gatherings and lunch. The regular menu has some interesting choices so I look forward to returning for lunch and hope that they will be able to offer the champagne that I wanted for Thanksgiving.

    Food is always consistency good. The prime rib was medium rare and tender. We sat in the patio and that was a nice change. We were there in the afternoon, weather was perfect. We were celebrating a birthday.

    Service was great and welcoming. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. The food was kind of underwhelming. The turkey was really dry. The stuffing tasted like stove top. The candied yams tasted unseasoned and hardly candied. The market veggies were as basic as it gets. My wifes filet mignon plate was much better which helps bring me to 3 stars on the food.
