It was Valentine’s Day, the staff was great k but the food was disappointing. The Prime Rib was over cooked. We order the English cut Prime rib but the texture from piece to piece was different. Not well at all.

Overall I would t recommend the restaurant for the food but I would for a place to hang out and have a drink.

This was not a good night at the Tam.The service was slow. (The server had many fine qualities, organization was not one of them) We ordered the holiday special for $125. One prime rib and the other filet. The prime is billed as a Calif. cut per staff. A Calif. cut is several thin slices of prime. I got one thin slice. Asked for it medium to medium rare, it came rare. The prime came with mashed potato's and heavy gravy. I have never experienced prime rib with mashed potato's. Different! The filet was fine. The rest of the meal was fine. The bill arrived for $165. We were told the computer calculates the bill and the software only priced half of meal at the holiday discount. They fixed the bill. We have dined at The Tam for years, it will take a while for us to return, if we do. There are too many restaurants of this style and price range to accept substandard quality of dining.

The service was excellent at the table. Our food was good but needed to be hotter when served. The reception up front could be improved. We were waiting for one person to arrive in our party of four and would have preferred to be seated at our table rather having to wait at the entrance.

Great prime rib. Haven't been there in almost 20 years. It hasn't changed much. They are, however, remodeling the front of the restaurant to accommodate outdoor dining in the future.

As always, Tom O'Shanter delivers. Excellent Prime Rib, cooked to perfection, medium rare. Cream corn and Cream spinach were delicious. Service was outstanding. Robin was our server. She made us feel welcome and at home. We will be back....soon. Keep up the great work. This restaurant never disappoints.

Construction of an outdoor patio was underway ... that killed the outside ambiance and there was only Valet parking available as street parking very limited. Our table for two was quaint
and our server (Sarah) was delightful, friendly and attentive. The food was good, just not great. We did order the chocolate souffle for dessert (do it early) and it didn't disappoint! They
also served us dark and light bread and also brought us ONE strawberry parfait dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Why not two? All things considered, we will place this restaurant
on the 'once in a while' list.

Our family had a wonderful first meal in LA here! Our server, Greg, was fabulous (and great with our kids). The Devils on Horse ack were scrumptious and I wish I had more room to finish my toad in a hole - so delicious! We loved the history and the warmth of the restaurant’s atmosphere and staff!

We had onion rings and a shrimp cocktail for our appetizers; onion rings were not cooked enough, the batter seemed to be "wet". The shrimp in the cocktail were small, nothing spectacular, could've been a bit larger. I had the prime short ribs and that was really good, only one thing, I'd prefer to have my carrots cooked a bit more. The wife had the fish and chips, maybe you can add more non-red meat options?

Food was not very good, the music was too loud and the staff never smiles. I went because it had such good reviews. Maybe we went on a bad day. Who knows?

My family has been visiting the Tam for years. The food is always top notch, service and ambiance always very good.
BUT, the portion cut of the prime rib has obviously been reduced in size. My friend & I each had the "California" cut of prime rib and we were very surprised ! Surprised to see how small the cuts were. If one of the cuts happened to look small, then I wouldn't have said anything, but BOTH cuts were small. For $40+, I have to say that the value was not there.
We'll come back for the bar & happy hour menus, but, will not be back for the dinner menu .

I love the rustic old Scotland vibe of the interior. The ambiance is very cozy, there are leather chairs at some of the tables. Since I went for an anniversary our server brought us out a complementary strawberry shortcake. Great place for meat lovers. Their creme brulee is delicious.

A lovely place to have brunch!

The biscuits and gravy is devine. They top it generously with sausage gravy.

The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and placed on top of mashed potatoes. The string beans were under cooked though.

The prime rib was absolutely delicious and every bite melts in your mouth. I would recommend ordering this if you LOVE beef!

The best part was the service. Every single associate was friendly and provided excellent service.

I love the Tam. Always leave happy. My kids love it, my family love it. It’s such a cozy environment. The food is exceptional. I have never had a bad experience and all the staff is superb.
