Loved the service, food and surroundings. Our Thursday night visit was marked by a very high noise level, the only thing getting less than a five-star rating. I had chicken and dumplings - brilliant new take on an old tradition. My wife had shrimp and scallops which she declared as her best meal in a long time. The Sweet Pea salad to start was unique and delicious - and huge (more than one person can handle).
Beautiful place, superb for foodies but not stuffy or pretentious. Excellent staff, very informed on food and wine.
Weather was warm, so dining in the garden was available. Nice ambience. Very friendly and helpful waitresses, servers etc. The servers confirmed the items on the plate when they brought it to the table. Good price for food, but I felt the wine was on the expensive side. Why was most of the wine European, or so that seemed? All in all we had a very enjoyable special meal.
Outstanding! A real highlight during our trip to Philadelphia. This is creative fine dining at its best!
The restaurant was incredibly loud . We had a very hard time just trying to hear each other at a table for four. I believe this restaurant nees to consider something which would help with acoustics.
Not bad, but for the 4th best fine dining restaurant in Philadelphia? No. Food was OK, nothing special. Service was OK, the place seems pretentious in an amusing way (I'd give it an 8/10 for pretentiousness). Beautiful garden. Cold crab soup was ok, too salty and too thick. Duck was good, but not hot enough. Salmon was good, but again, not hot enough. Carrot cake was excellent. So, go for dessert, have some coffee and call it a night.
Exceptional food, interesting menu and good service. Small tables, tight seating. Will come back.
What a wonderful experience. I brought my mother for a late mother's day dinner and everything was amazing from beginning to end. The the away from the night is the amazing service. As someone who's in the service industry, I have very high standards for service. My expectations were far exceeded. The portions could be a little bigger, but the flavor and preparation were spot on. A great place, 10/10.
The service, food and ambiance was sensational. My mother and I enjoyed a wonderful evening and will return.
Great experience at this gem! Will be coming back for their spicy margarita!
The garden is the gem of the restaurant that creates the wonderful ambiance. The inside seating is nice as well, but not as special. The food is delicious and local farm vibes. Comfort foods. A bit pricey for brunch, but everything we had was delicious.
Very different food selection but very good. Service was good, sat out side on a beautiful day.
Our new favorite brunch place! The staff was very accommodating, service excellent, as was the food. We were not rushed and the four of us were able to enjoy our annual birthday brunch. The garden is beautiful but, so is their indoor space.
Birthday. Excellent! Favorite place in philly!
The food here is great. If you go this spring, I highly suggest the Carrot cake dessert. The honey ice cream that comes with it is AMAZING. The ambience is quite dark & loud. If you are in a group of two, you will most likely be seated in a bit of a cramped space, but the table's aren't too small and it's okay! If you are next to a loud bunch, it could get annoying. I think it's great for a date night or out with friends. The food is so good and I love the cheese plate & tasting menu option.
A MAY ZING!!! I cannot say enough. We went for our anniversary and they were so sweet. The food was delicious. The service was delightful. The menu was inventive. Thank you to the owner who stopped by our table to talk and wish us a happy anniversary! We want to go back and eat in the garden. It was raining the night we went so we had to stay indoors. The garden looks spectacular!
Pretty restaurant. Ok food. Noise unbearable. Need to sit in garden.
Valet parking was great on a rainy evening. Very accommodating when we asked to be moved from a table at the bar due to our anniversary. Server, Tiffany, was fantastic; attentive but not overbearing. She answered every question. Highly recommend Talula's Garden.
So, the location is great. The ambiance is good. Our bartender was FANTASTIC! (Honestly, she might have been the best thing I saw that night. She was helpful, efficient, pleasant, friendly, etc) The food was very good. However, I think it is pretty overpriced for what is offered. I was simply amazed when we got the bill. I did not have an entree, my friend did not have any apps. Still expensive. Oh well. I guess it would be ok for a special occasion especially if you could sit outside. Otherwise, I am rather lukewarm about it.
PS- not crazy about the salmon crudo.
Wonderful, lovely, delicious! Really special place!
Delicious dinner with friends. Service is impeccable. Ambiance beautiful.. It can get noisy, but, not much can be done about that. It's just people having fun!
Friends recommended Talula's and it did not disappoint. The food was delectable. Fresh, flavorful, and well-portioned. The service was delightful. It would be a restaurant that I would highly recommend.
Great place, but patrons were all way too loud
As always, one if my most favorite places! Great drinks and wine, food is spectacular—this time I had the chicken which was amazing. The service is helpful and warm. Love this place!!
The risotto was much too rich to eat. The beets were marvelous!
Overall very nice restaurant and experience; we had dinner, unable to dine outdoors due to weather, food was very good, the main detractor was the noise level, way too loud which made table conversation a challenge at times.
The cheese plate was excellent, best I've had. The food was good but not very interesting.
Celebrated my graduation with family, the whole experience was amazing!
Such a great experience!!! I surprised my boyfriend with dinner for his birthday and we couldn’t have had a better time. Can’t wait to go back! :-)
Very kind staffs & good foods!
Never disappoints! Awesome dinner at my fave place.
Very nice Mother’s Day brunch!
We decided to have brunch on Mother’s Day here and our waiter was barely pleasant. Food was served room temp which was so disappointing. Very sad that we could go anywhere and get a delicious breakfast but it’s “Mother’s Day” and we thought this could’ve been extra special but it fell way short. I would’ve liked to send a personal message but there seems to be no link to do so on your Website.
Couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate Mother’s Day!
It a perfect beginning to Mother’s Day. The brunch menu was amazing. The cheese plate is a must try.
Did tasting menu..got to try a lot of little thing for a hefty bill but also had complimentary bread and wine thrown in there which was very nice! food sadly I wasn’t wowed for the money I spent but the ambiance the service and attention to detail was great! Glad. I tried it!
Truly amazing. Worth every penny and loved every single bite. Wanted to try this restaurant because of the amazing reviews and yes, the reviews were spot on and well deserved.
Mother’s Day dinner
It was our first trip to Talula's and we loved it! Service was amazing and food was even better. We had various appetizers and a cheese plate to start followed by delicious entrees. My boyfriend said it was the best meal of his life. Will definitely be back!
As always, our experience at Talula’s was fantastic! The food was delicious (no surprise there), and we were able to sit outside now that it finally feels like spring. Thanks for another memorable experience!
