Easily the best meal in the entire city. We loved it!
Fantastic from start to finish; we were able to be seated in the courtyard - with the heaters on it was a great temperature. Service was spot-on and the cheese is a must. Approachable wine list.
My husband and I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and Talula’s did not disappoint! The food was exccellent and the atmosphere was beautiful and romantic in the garden with the heat lamps to keep us warm! The service was attentive but did not rush us at all, I highly recommend Talula’s, especially for a special occasion!
Great food and atomisphere. Can’t wait to go back. Would recommend.
Absolutely outstanding as always. Every time we visit Philadelphia we make sure to treat ourselves to Talula‘s garden. Ate outside on the patio. Outstanding atmosphere! Well done!
Great restaurant and food. I would go here again!
I would have ordered everything on the menu if I could have.
Just an incredible experience! We enjoyed the seasonal offerings!
We travel to get to eat at Talulah's. The food is awesome and the place is beautiful. There is a wide selection of food options and we have never had a disappointing meal. We appreciate the Valet parking feature! The restaurant opens at 5 pm most days.
Wonderful service and amazing food made for a special night.
really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and our waitress Tracy!
One of my favorite spots in Philly. Been going for years and it just keeps on getting better!
We had a wonderful dinner for our anniversary! They sent out extra little treats on the house and were very accommodating for my husband's gluten allergy.
The hosts were very nice though not the main one forgot to tell our waitress something - not a big deal (4.5 stars). It was a little too loud. We really liked the cheese plates and only ate that, and I would do it again but only on special occasions because it was very expensive.
Every item was so delicious!
Just a great place all-around. Wonderful, beautiful, cozy atmosphere. Upscale, but relaxed. Food was expertly designed and cooked to perfection. Excellent service. Bar is amazing. Will definitely return.
In spite of the noise, and difficulty conversing , my first experience at Talula’s was a fabulous Birthday dinner for 4. So of course I wanted to try the brunch! On reflecting, first mistake was not being guided to “best choices on the menu”, as we had been at dinner. We chose 3 dishes to share, and service and cocktails were impeccable. First course smoked salmon was fabulous. Second course mushroom omelette, without cheese was booring, and not loaded with shrooms...
Considering we eliminated the cheese, and the chef was asked for a substitution ....we both felt it was a waste. So then, the recommended on line, fried chicken and a waffle. The chicken was crispy and the waffle was soggy....my partner didn’t like it. I liked the chicken.
So, read lots of reviews if u choose to eat here. Or ask for a wait staff that is unafraid to be opinionated.
I once learned from a restaurateur,
“every restaurant isnt great at everything, no matter what they say, so ask what the most popular items in the menu are”. I didn’t follow that advice!! $100. for 2
I was disappointed with this meal.
We went for Sunday brunch and there was truly nothing spectacular about the menu. My sister wanted to visit because she had heard good things.
My sister and I both cook. She is in the food industry in California. I understand you don't want to mess with the ingredients but I felt something was missing due to the hype.
Always an Enjoyable evening!!! Attentive service delicious food!!
Food was fantastic!! Beautiful place!
Not as good as the last few times we were there.
The smoked trout Cesar salad was interesting and tasty. I did not care for the tase of my wife’s salad whose dressing was sour. She , however, did like it’s flavor.
My Salmon was good but not better than many other restaurants and the accompanying Brussels sprouts were uninspired. My wife’s dish of Ravioli was tasty but very small portion. We would not return anytime soon.
It was excellent...great service, wonderful food and ambience, and very repeatable!
Everyday is special! Love it
I was getting together with a friend who was visiting and wanted to take them out somewhere special and Tulua’s Garden definitely qualified
we decided to splurge and go for the tasting menu and so glad we did
The pork belly, which is probably the last thing I would’ve ordered, was over-the-top delicious, cooked to perfection
They pased our dinner with timing that we requested, never made us feel rushed
The waitress recommended a bottle of wine that was not among the more expensive but was delicious
Overall, everything was perfect and I hope to go back again soon
Delicious meal and tasty drinks! I highly recommend this restaurant. The cheese plates are amazing! It has become my favorite place to eat here in philly.
Loved it - in town for Penn reunion with friends who haven't seen each other in 30+ years. Started with salmon and cuke crudo and pumpkin risotto. The risotto was phenomenal. Next we shared the pork belly with apple - also delicious and crispy brussel sprouts - wonderful. Could've eaten the sprouts as a main course.
Couldn't pass up the chai mini donuts for dessert - fantastic. Also was served complimentary pumpkin muffins - which were good, but not as good as the donuts...
Only wish there were more in our party so we could've tried more items.
Missing picture of risotto - which is a shame.
Service was fantastic meal was excellent- so fresh!
We loved our dinner! My friend and I were visiting from Baltimore and Brooklyn respectively. I found Talula's Garden when searching for a place with good vegetarian and pescetarian options. I am also gluten free and didn't feel limited in my options. Especially loved the raw salmon & cucumber crudo, the seared scallops with roasted cauliflower, and the ruby beets with fennel... dreaming of visiting Philly again so I can return and have the roasted cauliflower again...mmmm.
Great service and fantastic quality food. Would definitely come back again when visiting Philly.
The service made the food experience even better! Every detail was taken care of ... from the décor to the music to the bathroom cleanliness! A+
Fantastic birthday dinner with my daughter (22). Must go back soon. We both had an excellent experience. Food was outstanding.
Rarely find fault with anything here. Excellent food presented well paired with quality service. Bar is a 2 edged sword. Love the intimacy, but wish it was slightly larger.
Steak was so salty it was barely edible. This restaurant gets so much hype but we were really disappointed with the food. So many other places I’d go to in Philly before coming back here.
One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Never disappoints. Food is delicious and the ambiance is always special
This was a special birthday dinner and it was disappointing. The ambiance was beautiful. This is a very busy and pack restaurant and doesn't provide for a romantic intimate dinner. The bottled water is not bottled water it is filtered tap water and charged me $4.00. Wow! NY water is the best and its free! We ordered two drinks and they were perfect. They brought out a complementary cheese on a cracker. The cheese was delicious, but the jelly was a bit heavy handed and not balanced. The brioche bread was warm and rosemary butter was delicious. I had Autumn Cauliflower Pear Soup crushed hazelnuts, diced brown butter pears, local cauliflower, ginger and herbs. The presentation was amazing, but the server did a horrible job explaining what was in the soup. As it turned out I was not a fan of the soup. The hazelnut were not crushed and completely didn't fit into the soup. I did not taste any ginger, the pears were quite large and the herbs overpowered the overall flavor. We ordered Adobo Chicken roasted half hen, bi-color sweet corn, charred cherry tomato, basil, black beans, cumin and green chili relish. It was way too sweet and didn't tasted the adobo in it. The hen was a little overdone. We ordered Beef & Broccoli sliced butcher's filet, charred broccoli, miso pickled red onion, Szechuan soubise and gingered beef jus. The meat was cooked perfectly, but warm. The broccoli and red onion were way too sweet and I could not eat it. The Szechuan soubise was off the charts sweet and the beef crust tasted salty. We skipped dessert because I was afraid of how sweet it would be. The manager did a nice thing with the blueberry tarts and birthday candle. Talula's farm to table concept is more like a farm to sweet vs farm to savory.
Waiter needs to check with patron after each course and be more attentive.
Ate here before a concert and it was pretty good. Cheese plate was yummy and service was good. Would likely go back if I was in the neighborhood.
The chefs tasting menu never fails. Such high quality food and always a culinary adventure. My favorite Philadephia restaurant.
We had a fantastic dinner at talulas the night after our wedding. The staff went above and beyond and the food was so delicious. Everything was great but the poem and apple was the best. Thank you for a great night! Can’t wait to come back.
One of the best restaurants we have gone to. Great atmosphere, creative food, very good service.
The manager was especially attentive to our table. He greeted us and made sure that we were enjoying everything. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and worked with all of my wife's food allergies. They really went above and beyond. Great service and fantastic food. We will be back!
