It was my partner's birthday, so we wanted somewhere special to celebrate in Philly. Hands down, this was one of the best places we could have ever gone for her birthday. We both selected the 8 course special tasting menu. It was an extraordinary experience. The only regret we had, was that by the 7th course, we were perfectly stuffed.
If you're looking for a place that has great ambiance, romantic, and just amazing food, you won't be disappointed. Special shout out to the manager and server, Anna, since they went above and beyond to make it special for my partner's birthday.
Outstanding service. Little on the pricey side though. Our table was too close to the door and every time someone came in it got really cold for us.
Never ever disappoints! Consistently one of the best in the city.
It’s almost the perfect place for a date. Food is awesome. Service is fabulous. Drinks are outstanding. If only the tables were a tad less deep, it would be easier to hear the person sitting across the table.
Food and service was absolutely exceptional. Probably one of my greatest dining experiences. Highly recommend getting a cheese board for the table!
Everything was a 10
I have been to Talula’s Garden on several other occasions but only for brunch and I was very satisfied. This particular evening I was not satisfied with several things. First, we were seated promptly but stuffed into a small corner table for a 7:15 reservation. It was so tight that every time they cleared plates from the next table they bumped our table and spilled some of my martini, which I will add did not arrive to our table until 7:55 along with 2 rolls.
The meal itself was very good but I feel like they cater to large parties better. I would never go here again on a date but I would certainly go with a group for brunch
Just a lovely dinner all around. This was our first time here. The service was great. Food was very high quality, creative and fresh. I will be back!
It has been awhile since we've been to Talula's Table and it did not disappoint. Food was wonderful, though quite rich. The service was superb.
I had the butternut squash soup, ravioli and beets. Friend has a meal (can't remember exactly) of mushroom, spinach and cheese. Look forward to returning.
this is my second visit to lose garden. The cheese plates are two absolutely die for.
Last time I had an appetizer for my main course of raw tuna which was delicious. Unfortunately that was not on the menu this time so I chose the scallop and cauliflower. I was quite disappointed that they were three scallops at 11 bucks apiece. I didn’t care for the lentils that they came over nor the roasting that they did on the cauliflower. We did have the bread putting that was out of this world.
I think the next time I go I’ll get two cheese boards and dessert and skip the main course!
Gillian, our waitress, was wonderful! Everything from the ambiance to the attention to detail on every level of care was greatly appreciated! Thanks for making my special occasion feel all the more special!
We came with our toddler after a long day at the Please Touch Museum (not our best idea as she was starving and exhausted). The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating! Cocktails and wine were perfect and food was all delicious. Our first experience and won’t be our last- thank you!
First visit. Not sure why we have missed this one previously. It is a lovely space and the food was outstanding. The server was very nice. We had the butternut squash soup- best ever. The garden salad was excellent and the pasta was wonderful. We over did it with deserts. Will definitely return. It’s pricey and I just don’t like paying 14 dollars for a small pour of Chardonnay but that’s unfortunately all too common.
We went here for my wife's birthday and were not disappointed. The food is very good with high quality ingredients and very tasty. My one complaint is that I got the ravioli and for the cost, I would have hoped for more than 5, but it's a small point since they tasted great. The service, as at all Starr restaurants, was professional and our server added some kindness to the professionalism, which was nice to see. Overall, a very nice experience, and one we'd recommend to friends.
great place - food, service, ambiance - definitely recommend!!!
Came for Sunday brunch and loved our meal, the atmosphere, the service and even the valet parking!
We were there in August and loved it, couldn’t wait to eat there again. It was disappointing, the chicken with the chicken and waffles platter was very dark and not very appetizing; there were only 3 shrimp with the shrimp and Grits and the grits definitely were not as good as before, it came with a lot of peppers. The appetizer deviled eggs needed seasoning, but the biscuits were excellent.
All of the food we ordered was the same as what we had in August so our expectations were high.
Hopefully (should we go again) we’ll have the same food experience we had in August.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Talula’s Garden. I had always wanted to try this restaurant and it completely lived up to the hype. The server was awesome, the food was out of this world and my husband and I enjoyed it all. Going to make going to Talula’s Garden an anniversary tradition!
Our server Nicole was fantastic, the food was incredible. So glad we got to try this place out and can’t wait to go back. Thank you!
I can see why this restaurant retains its reputation as one of the best in Philadelphia. The seasonal menu is outstanding. My husband loved the short rib with roasted root vegetables. I really enjoyed the chicken with apples. We appreciated that our server suggested that we order some sides as appetizers to share to accommodate vegetarians in our party, kept us from over-ordering and offered our vegetarian a special that wasn't on the menu, which he liked very much. In sum, TG is wonderful.
Was our 25th anniversary- excellent bar experience before, great server and fantastic food. Very lucky to be able to experience such a restaurant.
The food is so goodddddd! I love every details in every dishes. One of the best restaurant in Philadelphia.
It is a pretty restaurant. I was just disappointed in the waiter. He recommended the scallops which were in a curry sauce and I asked for it on the side because I don't like curry and the scallops were not good on their own, they needed a sauce. I felt that he should have known that and suggested something else.
Great great food. Well prepared, fresh ingredients and interesting combinations.
Absolutely great food, nice ambient, great service....👍👍👍
Have had many meals at Talula's Garden and it is excellent each and every time. Highly recommend.
Outstanding in every aspect. We always come here for special occasions.
Exceptional service and food!
Perfect spot for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere, decor, food, and service are all exceptional. The honey dipped corn muffins are indescribable. The chicken and waffles spectacular. The only thing I caution on is using the parking garage mentioned on the Open Table summary. They charged $30 and we were there for less 2 hrs. Highway robbery. And to add insult to injury, the snarky little twit of the young male host told us the parking garage validation was only good for dinner, even though no mention of this disclaimer is noted on the Open Table summary. The manager was called over and was able to resolve the matter to my satisfaction. Otherwise, perfection.
Great service and friendly staff. The food was not up to par. The scallops where rubbery and did not taste fresh. However, it is a really beautiful restaurant.
This restaurant is fabulous on every level. I highly recommend it.
Love the originality of the dishes - interesting combinations of ingredients and flavors. Cheese boards are a cheeae-a-holics’s dream
Everything we had was amazing. We were blown away at how good everything was!
First time visiting. Food was very good not great, Portion sizes were very good two great.I’d come back during the spring or summer or early fall to better appreciate the ambience.
You can miss the food here, great place great service
Dinner was amazing. Great gf options. Christina was a fabulous server. Highly recommend.
Nice room. Good service. Yummy food. A little drafty sitting by the window.
Great food, helpful service, pleasant atmosphere.
The sommelier was the most helpful. Even pulled us a bottle of wine that was off the menu. Cannot wait to go back again!
