Christina our server was amazing! Will definitely be back!!
Incredible dinner and our waitress was so accommodating. Wonderful bday dinner!!
As usual, my experience at Talula’s was delightful. My friend and I decided to do a quick early dinner here to celebrate her graduation.
Service: the service was fine, a little sub par to what I am used to at Talula’s. We went at 5, as soon as they opened but yet our server didn’t take the time to really welcome us or explain the menu. Half an hour in, two waiters came to ask if we finished even though we were still in the middle of eating. I know this is not the usual for Talula’s but I was deeply disappointed.
Food: absolutely amazing. We got the mushroom flatbread and the crab spaghetti. Both of which were very very delicious. In the past, I have gotten their sea bass and ravioli which were also just as amazing. You can never go wrong with the food at Talula’s.
Overall, you can get expect another Starr experience here with beautiful ambiance and amazing food.
Great staff. Great food. Great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend
Always excellent! I appreciate greatly the server’s inquiry and careful attention to my shellfish allergy. One small part of a dish I ordered was cooked in fat that was also used for frying clams. He offered an extra helping of vegetables instead. It might not have been necessary, but why take a chance?
Everything was great! The service was spectacular. They catered to my allergies thoughtfully. The amazing waitress brought delicious crackers to accompany the fabulous cheeseboard and before our meal they delivered warm gluten free bread. The food was yummy and the place so beautifully decorated and appointed. Right now - it’s my favorite place in Philadelphia.
Awesome ambiance, food, and service!! We sat outside and had a fantastic experience. The cheese boards are so delicious 😋
Garden was beautiful setting for girlfriends night out! Complimentary brioche one of the highlights of a delicious meal!! We had a great time and loved every bite!
Would definitely go back!!
Delicious food and excellent service in a magical garden.
great food, service and atmosphere. If you are a foodie, this is worth a visit for sure. on the spendy side, but a good experience like this is worth the periodic investment.
Talula’s Garden was one of the best meals I had in a while! The food was so fresh and the combinations of each plate was delicious! Looking forward to my next meal there!
Great place for Cocktails and Apps before or after an event!
I loved the whole experience. I cannot wait to come back. Ariel was an amazing server! So personable and kind.
I’m a new resident to the Philadelphia area and a big foodie! So, finding favorite restaurants is one of my top priorities. This was our 2nd dining experience and we were not disappointed the second time around either. The moment you walk in the host greets you with a warm welcoming smile and you immediately feel at ease. The space is well designed and curated in terms of decor. It’s open, the tables and seating are very comfortable. The space has created a feeling of home while maintaining the standards of fine dining. Now, onto the food...it is simple elegance. You’ll find dishes that are aren’t too complex but, superbly well balanced with at least 1 element that is very unique. I am a personal trainer and portion sizing is very important to me. The portions are well sized and the presentation of the dishes are perfect! For brunch we stared with the French toast bites and they are little bites of heaven on a plate. The omelette with peas, leeks and ham was a perfect taste of salt and healthy greens!! My partner has many many good allergens and our server was very versed in the menu and was able to provide assistance in selecting dishes that could be modified. She also said, that the Chef could create something too if there were not options present on the menu. This could the single most important thing anyone could’ve said to us. Previously were dined here for dinner and the Chef did in fact create a dish she could eat by combining menu items that would keep her safe and her tummy happy! We will be regulars here! Don’t hesitate to make a reservation!
If you're local, and haven't been shame on you. If you're not local and you're visiting Philadelphia-- please try to go (unless if you have to do all the tourist spots first-- I get it). This is one of those restaurants that attracts locals and visitors, but it just feels like Philly. It is not your typical generic cosmopolitan restaurant doing fancy things. There is warmth to the decor. Real smiles on the people who work there, and of course the food is great. We went for a nice brunch. Spent about 1.5-2 hours there. It probably helped the weather was fabulous-- 78* which only contributed to the ambiance. Yes, slightly on the pricey side.
We were so excited. Literally wanted everything on the menu, but had to settle for about half of it. Ordered the key lime pie parfait and french toast as shareable starters. French toast was bigger than anticipated for a shareable starter. Definitely filled us up but we've learned how expandable our stomachs are. Crispy corners, pillowy and like a sponge on the inside. Arguably it could be an entire dish. Key Lime Pie Parfait-- also like a dessert and very filling but so unique in flavor. It felt like lighter, thicker cream with pie crumble and key lime, so if it was actually yogurt and granola, it was damn well done.
For drinks, we ordered the press coffee, bloody mary, and blood orange mimosa. Everyone was happy. Bloody mary was housemade and well done, not watered down and the right amount of horseradish.
I got the breakfast plate scramble, the potatoes were on crack. I dont even like potatoes and I couldn't stop eating them. Simple thing, again done so well. Fried chicken and waffles were demolished. Two plates down and not a crumb left. We had no room for dessert. Next time.
I was in this am @ 11 30 for brunch w/my friend who came in from out of town
Talulah's was my suggestion I wanted to try something different in center city
The place is beautiful both indoors & out.
We sat inside so we didn't have to wait for a table.
I had broken my foot, & got an end table.
Sitting 5 minutes, a waiter walked into the back of my chair & I told the waitress, we are going to have to move to the next table.
We did & ordered green iced tea, had no taste. No other iced tea. So I ordered a mimosa which was fine had it down the shore on a Sunday brunch for $4 less..but it was good so ok, I'll spend the extra bucks..
We both had the crab benedict $24 & our first few bites had a few little pieces of crab. Felt like I had eggs & spinach really low on crab & 2nd crab had NOT 1 piece of crab...on either of our orders.
Would not have said a word had the hostess not asked how everything was.
My friend had not 1 piec e of crab in her 2nd sandwich nor did I.
That's not right $24 for eggs & spinach..WOW!!!!!
Hostess brought over a little dish of crab meat.
But had she not, we would have none in 2 small sandwiches.....that's a colossal rip off & not right
I would never order that dish again....not in a big rush to return. And before we ordered, I thought this would be a lovely place to bring my daughter for her birthday.
Every employee we met was lovely from the bus boy, server, & hostess.
Disappointed in our selection...it should have come w/crabmeat like it said on the menu
& for 2 orders to have missing crab meat..no excuse...that is not nice.
I eat out several times a week...& really looked forward to the brunch of course, I was disappointed

This place is easy to miss. We actually walked into Taula's Daily first before walking over to Taula's Garden. Super cute place, kind of reminds me of a grandma's garden and kitchen decor. Food was carefully thought out and so delicious. We had the donut nunchkins and deviled eggs to share. Donuts were crispy yet soft and gooey in the inside. The deviled eggs were just okay, I think this was everyone least favorite dish. Don't get me wrong they weren't bad at all, just didn't stand out compared to the rest. I had the lox entree. So good!! I didn't leave a crumb on the plate. It was a light but filling dish. Also, got a side of cucumbers and it was delish as well and had a little spicy kick to it! Overall, we all really enjoyed our meal. Wish I was in Philly longer bc I really want to try their dinner menu now. Will definitely go back when I go back to Philly.
There are no words. My family and I went for brunch, it was absolute perfection. Can”t wait to return.
Always a delight
Excellent food, service and dining experience.
Food was delicious but I have to say it is very expensive. Over $30 for the scallops entree that had only 3 scallops.
Some of the best food I have eaten!!!!
We dined inside at a table near a post, so it was isolated and quiet. We had superb service. I may just have one of the cheese boards for dinner next time. The cheese was to absolutely die for!
We also tried the duck which could not have been more tender and savory. And we had the tuna appetizer that is a meal in itself. I’m not sure what they did to create the flavors that the tuna had but it was an out of body experience.
Although it’s pricey,It was absolutely delicious! A great way to celebrate my nephews birthday. Next time I hope someone takes me LOL
Great service, great food. Already recommended it to my friends.
We had another wonderful dinner here. We went for my birthday, May 2019. We decided to book an early reservation at 5:30 pm and I highly recommend this if you are looking to be seating in a specific location- we don't like the front tables (very loud), but would rather sit in the back. We were seated in a perfect location in the back for a date-night atmosphere. We decided to try the Chef's tasting menu and it did not disappoint. It was a great variety and they even surprised us with a few complimentary extras like a glass of sparkling wine from Napa Valley and little bites of goat cheese prepared on little toasts with a fruit sauce. There was not a single thing we did not like. Our drinks were great too- I got the Farmer- which was a spicy blood orange Margarita. I cannot wait to go back, the staff is so friendly and does an amazing job at making you feel very welcomed. One of the best spots in the city. Our total bill ended up being $360 with tip, which is pretty expensive- but I think the value was very good for our entire experience.
Excellent atmosphere while dining outside under the little trees. It was not as noisy as inside dining so we were glad we chose outdoors. Pasta dish, fried mushrooms and dessert were all very good.
Everything about Talula’s Garden is excellent. From its location on the beautiful Washington Square, to its unique ambience, to the outstanding food and service, I can’t say enough about this dining experience. We will definitely return someday soon. It is The place to go for a special occasion.
Talula's cheeseboards are a creative delight. The decor is lovely, garden is gorgeous, service is excellent. Try it! Enjoy!
Beautiful night for a lovely dinner.
We sat outside under the trees. Every dish was sauced to perfection, including meatballs, seared scallops with lemon butter sauce and spaghetti with crab sauce. Fortunately we were not inside where the noise was literally deafening. The young waitress was charming and efficient.
Two friends and I arrived on time for our reservation yesterday. It had just started to rain, and the staff was scrambling to move the garden diners to the dining room. We stood at the desk for a few minutes, when the manager came over with glasses of Prosecco to apologize for our wait. We waited about 15 minutes more, but completely understood the delay, and were even happier when he sent a small amuse-bouche. When seated, the waitress was quick to bring menus and drinks. We ordered a delicious cheese tray, and main dishes were wonderful (duck breast, scallops, a pasta dish), followed by great desserts. We raved that it was our best restaurant dinner in ages. The attentive manager and waitress more than made up for the inconvenience of our seating delay. Kudos to Talula's !!
Service was impeccable, had the tasting menu so was there for almost three hours. Never did we feel rushed, or ignored. Food was just the right amount for tasting, and though not everything was my preference, my husband greatly enjoyed it. (It was his birthday, his choice of menu.)
LOVE dining at Talula's Garden! Started with the seasonal cheese platter which was delightful, and enough for 3 to share. The amuse bouche was a delightful morsel of cheese on flatbread with honey drizzle. The gougeres were perfect with melting butter as they were served. I had the roast duck with duck crepes...divine! Dessert was the pineapple tarte tartin which came with nuts and a coconut gelato that was swoon worthy. My dining partners enjoyed the meatball app, the scallops and the gnocchi. Since this was a birthday celebration, it was lovely surprise to have a birthday treat of blood orange jellies, complete with candle.
Love the food but cant stand the pretentious staff
Talula's Garden has been on my list of restaurants for a while. I am very pleased that I was finally able to go and that we had a great time. The cheeseboards are out of this world. Our server did a great job of figuring out which one would be most up our alley based on the cheese we normally enjoy. The cocktails were mixed to perfection as well. This is one of the first times we decided on a pasta dish for a mid-meal and it was the best decision we made; the ravioli with preserved lemon sauce was absolutely incredible. We will definitely be back, hopefully once the weather warms up and we can enjoy the ambience of the outside seating area!
We loved Talula’s Garden. We were there for our wedding anniversary and they really made us feel special. We had a delicious cheese plate. We followed that with a smoked trout Caesar. Entrees were steak and egg and the special pasta for that night. We had two sides as well. The lemon dessert and carrot cake were excellent. Service was impeccable. We will certainly return.
We had an excellent meal and the service was very good. The server was very welcoming and the manager came by twice to make sure we were taken care of. We will be back!
The waitress introduced herself to us twice , in the span of 2 minutes ... not sure if she forgot or if that was intentional , it was very strange.
Food we ordered was very tasty, however cold ...
At the end of our meal as we were drinking tea , one of the waiters came around to offer us the brioche which was offered to us at the beginning of the meal ?? He realized right away and walked away.
Ambience is nice , however service needs to be figured out . Food should not be served cold
Tables are very close together so whenever the waiters were with the other tables , their jackets would hang over onto our table
Highly recommend Talula’s Garden. Food and service was outstanding. We had the Chef’s table. It was excellent and well worth the cost. Can’t wait to go back!!
What a lovely Mother's Day brunch today. Perfect service, excellent cocktails, delicious french press coffee and amazing brunch food. Beyond what you'd think brunch could be. We'll be back soon to try dinner options.
