The restaurant has done an excellent job of providing a safe outdoor space for an excellent meal.
Lovely, lovely dinner that was very much enjoyed by all. Food was for the most part outstanding but I downgraded for food a bit because of my minor disappointment in the farmer's vegetable plate. It was delicious but, for the sake of artistic presentation, arranged in a crescent along one edge of the plate. My initial response was "Where's the rest of my dinner?" And, to the credit of our on-her-toes server, she immediately responded and offered to bring an additional side dish of veggies "on the house" which provided more than enough to eat. (The farmer's plate was actually delicious though I cared less for the extra side of veggies.) On the totally positive side, the butterscotch dessert is to die for, as is the carrot-ginger soup, and ravioli and scallop main dishes, tasted from the plates of my table companions. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were seated at a table that would be comfortable for us, even offering to adjust the music if it was too loud.. Now that's hospitality!
Excellent environment and food!
Only cons are the cocktails. Very well described in the menu but the presentation it did not look special
Regular glass not any fruit or special details on the cocktails. I am sure they can do better
The rest was perfect
Salads very good
Raviolis and salmón superb
I didn’t like the beans with the fried chicken. Tough and stringy
Whenever we are in town, we always head there for Sunday brunch!
It’s the perfect space for breaking bread with closest of friends and family: quaint; intimate; luxurious and filled with imagination and promise. ❤️
Amazing from start to finish. Only wish could have sat in the garden area.
Excellent! Loved it!! I hope I can come back with visiting family soon :)
Incredible brunch! The peach pancakes are so good.
Had to run after 55 minutes because of the storm, thanks for being there during these terrible times!
Everything was great! The food is delicious!! Felt a little rushed due to the 1.5 time limit for the table but it was manageable.
Great evening for eating in the garden. Tremendous service and food. All precautions taken for safety. Hope to be back very soon. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Everything was perfect; food and staffs. The food was excellent like all reviews I’ve read. They were detail-oriented in order to make customers felt safe; good distance for each table and even leaving all doors open so you didn’t have to touch any handle after washing hands!
Talula’s Garden never disappoints! Wonderful meal, excellent service, fun atmosphere.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at your restaurant. The manager was very helpful in helping us select the champagne bottle as well as the staff. Will definitely return and also recommended .
Felt very safe. Everyone was respectful and tables were spaced out. Phenomenal food and the service was top notch.
Incredible! Connor was the best with recommendations on food and cocktails. The short rib and grits were impeccable. Peach pancakes were divine. Chicken and waffles with the perfect balance of crunch and juicy meat. Bacon and a biscuit with eggs and twice fried potatoes. We cannot wait to go back! We sat outside but we hear the garden is not to be missed.
A beautiful place to brunch, a great atmosphere and even better food. Highly recommend!
As always, the food and ambience were on point like a pencil. Unfortunately, whether due to COVID or whatnot, the service was not as phenomenal as usual. I like the experience of having each course explained and the occasional “compliments of the chef” dish arriving. It adds to the special experience of being in the garden. Though I didn’t feel rushed, the pace of the meal was definitely accelerated.
I’ll chalk it up to COVID and 2020 being a riprip, but while I understand the need to shuffle as many people through given the limited seating, I would have enjoyed the added layer of dishes on the menu talked through or even the menu additions spelled out as I heard a couple of other waiters doing.
We love Talula's! Especially the garden seating. It is "magical" after dark with the pinpoint lights on the side walls.
Waiters are cordial, helpful, quickly at hand.
The tables are spaced well for covid concerns.
Food is very good although not everything was what I wished it to be. The braised short ribs with their delicious polenta was fabulous! The pinot noir I chose to go with it was perfect. Not all perfect, the heirloom tomato salad was almost only cherry tomatoes on an iceberg heart, not heirloom tomatoes and the mule cocktail was "different" than I expected.
Overall, a bit pricey but worthwhile.
The best chicken and waffles and the best scrambled eggs with cheddar I've ever had. You won't be disappointed.
Took my daughter for brunch to celebrate her moving in to a new apartment , everything was great!
Enjoyable evening in a garden setting.
Just a great spot for dinner. Beautiful outdoor seating and vegetarian options.
1st Covid Open-Air dining experience.
Exceptional. Enough said.
Everything was perfect from start to finish our friend had some dietary restrictions and they went above and beyond to help her find something to have
Our waiter Conner was amazing! We all had a great time and the food was delicious.
Love going to Talula’s Garden! It is by far one of my favorite places to go in the city. Was so excited to reunite with one of my friends and see each other as COVID protocols have been modified to do so. The ambiance was cute and relaxing as always, especially in the garden area, service is always impeccable, and restaurant is clean. Can’t wait to go back again
Lovely experience sitting in the garden once we were able to get moved from the sidewalk seating on the road. Food tends to be expensive with everything a la carte, as were the drinks, but the attentive and helpful servers and great ambiance on a hot summer evening led to a special night out.
The cleanliness and attention to this was evident
Overall my meal was good
This was my second experience and we will return
The only issue is that they served the items to the wrong guests
Also I ordered Pellogrino
Only after 3/4 of the meal was served did they offer ice
This is why I did not give it 5 stars
Amazing! It was our first time but definitely not our last!!!
Excellent brunch spot!! Food & ambiance are amazing!!
We just love this restaurant. The food is first class. We were unable to eat in the garden the first time we went because it rained. This time, everyone has to eat outdoors!! The staff are amazing and I can't wait to return. We live in Philly and have been to tons of restaurants, but this is my favorite!!
Phenomenal meal... I would give it 5 stars, but the hostess interaction left much to be desired. I was 6 mins late to my reservation, which yielded a 3 minute scolding about turning tables and not holding reservations. The conversation continued to include a mandatory end time, as the table would be needed for another reservation. I understand that covid has thrown a wrench in dining... but basic courtesy towards the guest should always be paramount. If im spending $300+ on dinner, you wont tell me when I have to "free up the table" by. And no, im not "ok with that."
Server was amazing, food was mouth watering, dessert was heavenly. Aside from a marred interaction with a less than gracious host... the meal was exceptional. Butterscotch pudding for the win. So sad the hostess sat me in the street and not in the beautiful garden area that had open and available tables when I arrived.
Great service from Peter! We loved sitting outside and the food was excellent!
Food was delicious. Would definitely return to try more. Overall great experience.
We had an amazing dinner. Temp
checks, masks, appropriate table distances, were all appreciated!
We weren't very hungry, but had to eat here while in Philly. The food was perfect.
We had an excellent meal here despite restrictions brought on by the COVID 19 crisis. I had the scallops and succotash and my wife had the ravioli both of whith were top notch.
The staff handled the rain storm very professional and made it as pleasant as possible to wrap our meals to go!
