We have loved Talula’s in the past, but we were disappointed that this time the food seemed to come out cold and slow when we sit so close to the kitchen here. The flavors were great but it would have been so much better on temperature. Given the cost, we likely will not be back again.

The food was absolutely delicious. Think high-end comfort food. Generous portions at each course. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable about the food as well.

This concept of converting a deli and market during the day into a set menu small and cozy restaurant in the evening lived up to expectations. The food was delicious and imaginative and served on mismatched and interesting dishes with vintage silverware. We chose the drink pairings which enhanced the meal experience. The noise level made good conversations possible which was a bonus.

This was more than a fabulous restaurant and more than a fabulous meal - it was a fabulous experience. I enjoyed myself and had such a wonderful evening. I loved not having to select my food. I got the wine pairing - I loved having our so-nice server Andrew just appear with the next glass of wine or course and find joy in explaining what it was we were going to consume next. The selections were supurb. My soul felt completely nourished! Can't wait to come back.

Wonderful five course meal with creative twists to ingredients assembled. Farmhouse tables were fun. Servers were attentive but could be overly formal for farmhouse vibe.

Talula's Daily- Secret Supper Club was outstanding! It was a random pick for dinner while we spent the weekend in Philadelphia and I will absolutely go back. The adorable set up turns a cafe into a classy "secret supper club". The food was excellent, hand crafted, with great ingredients and delicious. I couldn't speak more highly of it. A must try!

Great idea and ambiance. For the two of us, sadly the meal courses lasted over two hours. Very disorganized for a price fixe meal fix menu. 30 minutes between courses is too long. We asked to speed up the process but they were unable to accommodate us. Tough to return when so many other restaurants are available in the area

November's menu at the Secret Supper Club was outstanding. There really aren't any 'bad' menus, but this one hit the spot with all the diners (there were 5 of us). My husband and I were dining with out of town friends, and they loved the ambience and the food, as I do. From the salad, which was a nifty take on the standby Caeser, with figs and crispy anchovies that were really tasty, all the way to dessert, ice cream with caramel sauce and buttery shortbread morsels, it was a fantastic meal. The pumpkin ravioli were delicious, the steak with grilled miso cabbage was perfect, the cheese platter...well, it is Talula's! The pacing of the meal was perfect. We never felt rushed, and we had plenty of time to savor each course. The food led to lots of fun conversation as well. It's a treat to see what the next month will be. Our friends will be back whenever they are in town.

Talula's Daily was delicious! The 5-coure pre-fixe meal was times very well, they were very accommodating to one of us not eating meat-- it was not a problem for them to swap out the meat part of each course with something else. They service was lovely and attentive, as well. On a rainy Sunday night it was very pleasant to sit inside and watch the open kitchen. Highly recommend!

I always expect perfection from Talula's Garden. This expectation did not fall short when I ventured into Talula's Daily for their Secret Supper Club. We came an half hour earlier than our reservation and were accommodated immediately. Our servers were kind and professional; they certainly made us feel comfortable and enhanced our experience here. We dined on the October Menu, "American in Paris" -- it was truly amazing. This is normally a five course meal, but we opted for the unlisted daily fresh selection which was house-made cavatelli pasta folded into a goat cheese sauce so we had six courses in total (and we were also given complimentary mini carrot cakes for celebrating our anniversary!). The food was so fresh and was executed to perfection. Since Talula's Daily has an open kitchen, you can see the chefs preparing your food and the meticulous attention to detail they take on plating their meals. Speaking of plates -- all of their flatware and silverware are from thrift shops, so they do not all match. It sounds silly, but this helped bring together the comfortable, homey ambiance you feel the minute you walk into the restaurant. Also, the small size of the restaurant creates intimacy that you usually do not feel in larger restaurants.

I would highly recommend coming here to anyone who is looking to have an incredible dining experience. Needless to say, I will be coming back once I see another month's menu that appeals to me!

Took my wife for our 30th anniversary. We sat next to the large table that seats 10-12. The group seated there were enjoying themselves and got a little loud but the room setting amplifies everything. We really didn't mind as we were just enjoying the whole experience. Our server was excellent (as were the others who brought us each course), just a little hard to hear at times over the din. The meal was fantastic and the assortment of flavors and textures in each course was outstanding, especially the salad. The wine pairing with each course made it even better! Our server even brought us a small dish at the end which held two bite-sized carrot cakes and an inscription in chocolate that read "Happy 30th Anniversary". So special!! Once the room emptied out the people that remained at the large table reached out to us and apologized for being loud but we told them it was OK. They were so nice, and even bought us some wine! Great restaurant, great employees, great customers! We will definitely go back soon and bring friends!

We went for our anniversary and loved it. Delicious food made from local produce. Service was very kind and helpful. It felt fancy but certainly not in a condescending way. And while pricier than some other dinners, it felt relatively inexpensive for a five-course meal. Can't wait to check out a new menu in a future month.

The food was very, very good, but it was mostly luke-warm at best, even though the restaurant was not busy at all. Portions were decent, but some items on the tasting menu were laughably sad looking. The scallops, in particular, were small and slightly rubbery - they really could have upped their game on that tasty dish by focusing on some higher quality seafood. All that said, the ideas were there and the tastes were exciting and different. I just wish the overall quality aligned better with the price tag of the price-fixed menu.

We dined for our anniversary, the menu was really creative and delicious. The duck on the frisee greens, butternut squash soup, scallops with red cabbage, nothing left on our plates. The service was excellent, she was knowledgeable and friendly.

I would recommend the wine pairings with the meal, knowing wines they were perfect.

We will return.

 (Philadelphia)·Dined on September 9, 2017

The food was wonderful, but the service and timing of the meal was horrible. First off, we had to wait 20 minutes despite the set reservation time. Once we sat down, it was clear that while the reservations were staggered, the food was prepared in batches, meaning that while our reservation was at 7:45, the couple next to us had a 7:30 res and the couple next to them had a 8:30 res all of us received our 3rd (main) course at the same time. Unfortunately that meant over 45 minutes between courses for one of the tables and big variances between courses. Considering they know exactly what needs to be made at what time because of the set menu, this was very disappointing. The staff didn't even acknowledge that the wait times were inappropriate. I hope this was just a fluke of the evening, or maybe how they choose to prepare scallops, because all of the courses did taste delicious.

The staff here was friendly and super-helpful. They checked on potential food allergies at the outset and modified one dish for me. The five course September menu was delicious from start to finish, beautifully presented, and well-paced. I was dining alone but felt welcomed and conversed-with by the waitstaff, and not consigned to a dark corner. Given the prix fixe monthly menu design, it is more of a special occasion destination than for every day, but it lives up to its reputation for seasonal, creative dishes and a warm welcome.

Concept is different in that one set five course menu lasts all month. No exceptions except dietary restrictions. September 2017 menu was outstanding. Usually there is at least one miss in the courses, but this one was exceptional all around.

Phenomenal, just phenomenal! This was my second time here and I did not disappoint! The food was amazing, the service was on point (with the exception of some snooty waitress that doesn't realize that you don't reach across a diner's plate to refill water when he is literally putting his fork in his mouth to eat, but I can overlook that). I will definitely be going again. The food is definitely on par with what you'd get at Talula's Table. I can't wait to see what the October menu will be.

The food was delicious except of the fact that I am not a fan of the mole sauce and it was on one of the courses. The portion size of each course was huge so I wasn't thrilled about that . Also wish the cheese course was a little bit different considering the wide range of cheeses Talulas garden carries. That being said I could have picked the wrong theme of the supper.
