   Terrible! I made a reservation for 7 at 7:15 on 3/30. The reservation was confirmed and reconfirmed day of via OpenTable. We got to the restaurant and it was CLOSED. How can you confirm/reconfirm a reservation when the restaurant is closed. This was for a 50th bday. Needless to say I will never make a reservation here again.

   Wanted to like this place for the warm neighborhood feel. We were welcomed warmly, but forgotten half way through the meal. The chocolate souffle, promised to take "7 minutes" showed up about 20 minutes later. That dish was good, but at least one guest lamented after the meal that he was hungry. (He had the chicken kebabs which came on impressively large skewers and tiny piles of rice and veg - and were dry.) The beef stew was boring rather than delicious comfort food. Sorry not to be able to recommend.

   Overall this was a good place to eat lunch although there was no specific to lunch menu. Food was well prepared and delicious but Lacking in atmosphere. Paper napkins and a $44 steak don't set well with me, even at lunch. We had attentive service. We were told on the phone (and also on reservation request) that Talia's was handicap accessible but when we arrived in the rain, it was not. The staff did their best getting my friend in but it was not a safe or comfortable method. Steak was well prepared, salad, well-dressed and fresh, green beans delicious. Our waiter was excellent and proper, while being friendly It always surprises me that it is difficult to find a place that is kosher and handicap accessible in NYC.

   There aren't a lot of good casual steakhouses in Manhattan, let alone kosher ones and they do a reasonable enough job to make it a decent general local option, especially as the staff is very welcoming. The food seems to be cooked to order and it is not quick..

   This is a lovely place to dine; the appetizer with fries (sweet potato and regular potato) is quite good and certainly enough for 3 or 4 people. In general, the portions were generous, the food was tasty and the staff could not have been nicer. It's in a nice area as well so I would say it's certainly worth a try--varied menu so there should be something for everyone.

    sadly, we were a llittle disappointed with the restaurant - orders did not come at the same time, food not cooked well. kept having to look for waitress.
