I’ve been here once before and it was a good experience.
Do you have any food allergies etc. yes I’m vegan
Ask if two items are. Yes. We order.
They bring one appetizer and say did you say vegetarian or vegan. This has egg in it.. maybe come back after I order it and tell me and not bring it. Friend I was with ate it. 20
Min later other app comes out.
One dinner comes out maybe another 20-25 mine does 🤷♀️ and was pretty much just oily noodles..
Other places to go in jersey city with (a) vegan options (b) way better service.
From the moment we entered the restaurant we had an amazing experience from the staff who greeted us at the door, the bartenders, and our waitress Gabie! The food was excellent and plentiful.
Second time there for dinner food was delicious drinks were very good and so was the service there was six of us had a nice dinner definitely would come back again and recommend it to anybody who is interested in Asian fusion food
Most of the dishes we ordered were salty. The roti was delicious and d bao. Most people are now watchful of their salt and sugar intake, maybe adjust the use of it.
Really nice Mother’s Day lunch. They had live jazz which made it even better. All of our dishes were great and the waitstaff was accommodating and friendly.
The pre Mother’s Day brunch was all that we could have
Asked for and more! The French toast was absolutely delicious and the spam fried rice was totally unexpected and amazing as I haven’t eaten Spam in well over 45 years. I didn’t actually eat the spam (picked it out “ but the rice has great flavor.
The highlight was the fun DrAg Queen show. We did not know what to expect but certainly did not expect a show that was well over an hour and was so much fun! They were very engaging and entertaining. I would definitely go back again.
The Drag Queen Saturday Brunch was a hoot. Brought mom as a surprise for her birthday. Looking forward to going again.
Came for Drag Brunch ‘What’s the Tea’ and it did not disappoint! Food was great. I suggest ordering several items and sharing. We had a large group and increased by one. I called the restaurant and they were candid that it would be “cozy” where we were seated and they were all booked so they might not be able to move us. Our seating was perfect and everyone was comfortable. They truly manage expectations. They also are extremely accommodating with large groups that don’t arrive all together, they were happy to seat us.
The drag show was not the regular performers and I’m not upset about it. Jan Sport and Lemon were FANTASTIC!! Never a lull in the set, they performed for about 2 hours and were constantly on. They put their all into the performance. Lemon shblammed so hard, her shoe broke..that is commitment!!
The food was amazing, a twist on regular brunch items with an Asian flair. Not one item disinterested me. The Spam and Cheese fried rice was to die for!
Lovely spot will come back again. A couple of items we ordered were hit and miss but for the most part we enjoyed our meal together.
We love Talde. It’s a very nice place to go with our family for birthdays or just special dinners out. The food is delicious and the service has always been excellent.
Everything was awesome, food was delicious!!
We were there are a Monday evening, on the late side sat down at 845... we are all restaurant people and understand we can be difficult, but the service was a little off. Server forgot 2 drinks all together..
While this is not the servers fault, 3 of the entree's we wanted to order and 1 of the apps where 86'd...
other than those little items we would all definitely go back, food was great.. loved the vibe of the place..
The waiter was very curt, rushed, and a lack of people skills. He rushed through getting our drinks orders, carelessly dropped on the table, food order was rushed and came out incorrect. I will not be visiting anytime soon.
This was a bad experience.
The service was very poor. When we ask for the server, he told us we had to wait.
The smoked bacon was charred.
Food is always amazing. Services was great. We dine or order out at least every other week. A must try.
I feel like the food has gone downhill since opening!
Brunch at Talde was yummy as usual, with excellent cheery service. My friend and I thought the food was a little bit greasier than usual, but still very well seasoned. Other than that, I would recommend!
We had a blast at “What’s the Tea?” Drag Brunch. The queens were fun and hilarious, the food was great and the servers were on point. We will definitely be back!
The food was delicious nice spices to each and every dish and appetizers.Would definitely come back again. The waitress was very nice.
I booked a table for my birthday about 4 weeks in advance, when I showed up they had 6 of us at the bar! I have a pregnant friend and reserved a table so I was not happy. They ended up putting us outside however if I am booking my birthday brunch weeks in advance we should have had a table ready for us inside.
Absolutely enjoyed our visit to Talde during their What’s the Tea drag brunch! Food and entertainment were top notch, the waiter notified us of the unique serving style: one wherein the food would come out as prepared, instead of all together - to ensure freshness! Only critique I had was that we were sat in the back of the venue (table of 9) and most of the performances were relegated to the front of house and the speaker specifically in the back near us probably could’ve been a little quieter than the rest without reducing the quality of the show. We weren’t an old bunch by any means, but I almost wish we ear ear plugs.
Talde has a variety of choices on the menu and good for groups who like to share. Overall good experience, but it seems the servers are still getting to know the ropes as there were times when our table was left unattended.
Would definitely go back but hope for more attentive service next time.
Highly recommend the wings & signature dessert!
The restaurant was super cute and the food was delicious. Portions for family style are small. Our waiter didn’t come back much to our table.
Place was very cool looking but food was not great. Definitely not worth the prices.
Talde is a beautifully designed restaurant that has an industrial vibe, yet it's still warm and inviting. Tables have plenty of space between them, and there are a couple of large communal tables between the main dining area and the bar. The food is a unique spin on different Asian cuisines, with each dish boasting an original flourish. For example - pork dumplings were in pretzel-inspired salty dough, served with mustard instead of a soy-based dipping sauce. The blue crab fried rice with jalapeño aioli was the standout dish - absolutely superb. Our table also tried the skirt steak, noodles with short rib, shrimp spring rolls and more...and one dish was better than the next. Service was great too - highly recommended.
Two of my friends and I went to Talde for Saturday Drag Queen Brunch and it was amazing! Food and drinks were great and the service was amazing! Highly recommend!
Food came out at different times , as they warned but two main courses came way later and in fact the last came so late that they offered to come the meal and offered a free drink. But weird thing is it wasn’t hot and my husband said octopus is only good when it’s piping hot off the grill and it was chewy and lukewarm. We hadn’t been there before and not sure I’d return. NYC pricing and very loud to talk.
We had great expectations when we chose Talde for dinner and although we enjoyed our night out, we were mildly disappointed. Our server was great and the appetizers were phenomenal. However, my entree, skirt steak, was bland. It really had no taste and the soy butter sauce that the steak was served with did not help. However, a friend who dined with us took the prize as the noodles with short ribs were great. The only other issue we had was with the service of the food. We were told when we sat down that the that food would be brought out as it was ready. We assumed that meant that the appetizers would be served as ready but that the entrees would be served after we were finished with the appetizers. We must have misunderstood as no sooner than the last appetizer was brought to the table, the entrees started coming out. For future reference, I will order the entrees after we are done with the appetizers.
Delicious food, great for sharing and groups of friends or a casual date. Loved the shrimp and beef dishes and the 7 tapas for $25. Our server was very entertaining. Great cocktails too.
It was just ok. The apps were great and the entrees were ok but the service was lacking. We were the first ones there when it opened so the lack of good service could have been attributed to that.
We were celebrating a birthday! The food was good but I felt some of the “family style” portions were very small and therefore not worth the value. For instance the steak dish was tiny. The wings , noodles and dumplings were very good. The service felt rushed and I wish we could have had the apps first followed by the entrees. This meal was over very quickly.
Came away feeling a little "meh" - service was good, food was good but overpriced. Wouldn't rush back here! Not sure what the hype is about.
I was excited to dine with friends at Talde. Unfortunately, our experience there was like nothing I've ever experienced before. Prior to our reservation time, I had called to add a member to my party- giving the host an ample opportunity to inform me that the restaurant would not be able to operate in full capacity that evening. Instead, upon our arrival to the nearly empty restaurant we were met with unapologetic news from our water that only 2 servings of 1 of the entrees on the menu were available that evening. Much to our dismay- he offered no apology or suggestions for improvising with what was available on the menu. Hesitant to come off as rude, we shrugged it off and told him this wasn't his fault, no worries! After this, we decided to go ahead and order drinks- waited 45 minutes and did not receive them. When we asked our server if the drinks would arrive soon, we were again met with apathetic response. We then decided to leave the restaurant- this is the only time I've ever done this! We ended up having a delicious meal with an attentive and jovial waiter at a nearby spot.
Pretty much perfect for any day or celebration.
First time here! Atmosphere was nice, I loved the bar setup. Food was delicious, sharing style so we tried a couple different plates. Servers were friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the restaurant was almost empty (it was earlier on a Monday) and the kitchen took a long time to put out our food, despite that we were told the plates would come out as they were ready.
Food was absolutely amazing (kudos to the chef), unfortunately the staff was far from great. Didn't mention it was a "Family" style and with party of 8 we all had our food come out 15 minutes apart from each other. Very unfortunate that our waitress was as rude as can be and couldn't have had a more unpleasant time serving us. After we spoke to the manager things slightly improved but unfortunately next time (if there is one) we will not be sitting at a table and will probably just head to the bar area.
The bar looked nice but it was quiet for a weekday. Food was very uninspiring (and pricey) and the service was really slow.
I have received so many positive reviews from friends I was really looking forward to trying Talde.
I was soooooooo disappointed. The waiter was nice enough but not competent. The food order got completely botched up and we received entrees before appetizers. It took forever. The drinks were watered down. And all the waiter could say was these were all common complaints from other people who
dined there. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. The flank steak was over cooked. It just didn't work as a pleasant evening.
My family and i visited Talde on a Sunday. Checked the website for menu options because my husband is vegan and my brother has allergies. Menu looked good so we figured we give it a try. The sunday menu is a mix between brunch and dinner and didnt have a few items i was looking forward to trying, this menu was not posted on the website so we were pretty upset. They also run a push kitchen, which we werent informed of so everyone ordered their own food.. we wouldve ordered differently if we knew everyone wouldnt have plates in front of them at the same time. The food was good.. wouldnt be my #1 place to go out to eat but we will probably visit again.
Excellent food and great gluten free options. Service was quick and attentive. Definitely will visit again
Hadn’t been to talde in a while, forgot how delicious their food is! Great for sharing a bunch of dishes family style, gives you the opportunity to try a lot of great things! Highly recommend.
