The chicken satay made me feel sick and it tasted like dried out rubber. The crispy duck bao bun was absolutely terrible. Great service and ambiance though.
Everything was delicious! Loved the rangoons, short rib, crispy duck, and panang curry. Brownie dessert was also outstanding! Our server Camila was amazing too!!
I lived in Bangkok for 5 yrs so am I particular about Thai food. We thought Talay was delicious. The curry and Phad Thai were cooked perfectly. We also had several starters that were delicious too!
The only thing I thought was odd is they charged $8.00 for chicken in the Phad Thai. Telluride is expensive but that price is a bit silly.
I would highly recommend Talay.
Great location in Mountain Village, good atmosphere though lively with lots of families. Food was good but not fantastic. Overall good food and service.
Great food! Fantastic service!
Consistently great tasting Thai. Family friendly. Reservation is a must.
The entrees are very large and filling. Everything we ordered was very tasty. The craft cocktails were delicious. The duck bun was our favorite. I highly recommend a visit here while in Mountain Village.
Great attentive waitress. Food was really good especially the drunken noodles
Food was good but service a bit slow.
Service was really slow. The waiters brought up appetizers without small plates to share. The food was just OK for the price we paid. We had to wait for a long time to get water glass filled, and to get our dinner check. Not worth going.
It was very frustrating that no one answers the phone, even when they are open. We wanted to expand our table from four people to eight people, but no one answered the phone in the morning when I called at 9:00 a.m.. Our second group of four didn't want to chance to miss a reservation, so they went elsewhere. Of course, the place was empty and there was a table for four adjacent to ours. We got a call back after 5:00, but it was too late. Is it that hard to answer the phone or call back within an hour?
Most overpriced Thai food I have ever had
This was our second visit to Talay Grille. Both times we were happy with the food, ambience and especially the service. Friendly, helpful without being overpowering. I couldn't decide on the wine and so the server brought me 3 wines to taste. I shared the lobster tails and the kitchen split it for us - that' doesn't happen everywhere. Excellent yellow curry with beef. The tuna tataki tasted good but was a bit overcooked.
I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly!
Great service! The hostess, manager, and waitstaff were all very attentive and cared very much about the smooth flow of the evening for every table. Well done!
We enjoyed our meal immensely, and never felt rushed. Our two-year-old granddaughter was with us and the staff was very accommodating, seating us in a corner where we could corral her in.
The food is creative and fresh. We have never been disappointed with the food. The service was very good this time also. In the past we have had sub par service, but this time they were spot on.
The food tastes great. You get very large potions, so come hungry! Lots of options to choose from.
The food was very good. We didn't have a server at first, had to ask after 15min, but once we did, service was friendly and attentive.
Kamilla was an excellent server. Food was great and we'll priced.
Our family ordered 2 appetizers. The pork dumplings were fantastic and tuna tataki was good. For entres we ordered red curry which was totally bland, Pad Thai with duck and that was very good, Pad Se Ew which was fair, and Peanut stir fry which was very good. The ambiance was very nice, not cold which is really nice. The service was nice but not very competent. Three mistakes with our order and bill, but they fixed it... The kitchen was also very slow.
In summary, the restaurant is SERIOUSLY hit or miss.
Delicious food and although they were busy, service was great. My son has celiac disease and they were very accommodating with his dietary restraints. We all enjoyed our meals.
Great food and excellent service. !!we ordered the shishito peppers as appetizer and the drunken noodles, great choices. The fried banana dessert was excellent!
Very bad experience and service! I do not recommend this place at all!!
The food and service were amazing, and the location is so convenient. Just a few steps away from the foot of lift 4.
Tally is on its last legs, regrettably. The menu continues to shrink, the food is inconsistent if not poor, and, as always, it is so terribly understaffed. Why won’t the owner hire enough servers and cooks? Our waiter apologized all night long for the huge delays. I suspect he quit the next day, and who could blame him? Elks buns were raw, not medium rare. Duck hand rolls were shoe-leather. Entrees were mediocre. Time to shut it down and focus on keeping Siam from a similar decline.
Very busy for the holidays so this may have been an off night plus we ordered dishes that may not have been their best. Crispy duck curry was good.
Great food but not great service. There was no green tea, waiter forgot our edamame until we reminded him, and food and drinks took a long time. Seafood salad disappointing. Waiter did not seem knowledgeable about a dish when asked. On the bright side, nice ambience and great curry and vegetable tempura.
We went for a date night. Was great ambiance
At first we were not attended to but once they figured out they missed us, the service was very good. Food was excellent and a great value.
While our waiter was good, the restaurant was understaffed on a very busy evening so service was very slow. The food was underwhelming at best.
Extremely poor service, forgotten orders, and food arriving at different times. In fact, we were a party of six and four were finished with their dinner before the other two even received theirs. The food was OK, a few good items and a few bland ones too.
Food quality this evening was not up to par...normally great! The fried rice with shrimp was "soggy"
This is one of our "go to" restaurants in MV. Something was different and not in a good way!
We think they had an off night. In fact because we have been there on many occasions, we know it was an off night and not indicative of the usual fine experience
excellent food! Sat out on the patio and there are residences above the restaurant so we could hear a guys tv the entire dinner. It was not the restaurants fault, just annoying!
Great meal and fabulous service by Gail. Spectacular sunset and tasty meal for our last night. Really great gluten free menu.
The staff were very friendly & and sat us quickly, but a lot of things were just off. Our drink orders weren’t correct, we had to ask for serving spoons when we ordered food for five people, the ingredients listed for one dish weren’t what came out, and we had to ask for the rice that we had ordered. I haven’t eaten there in over a year, and before had had a good experience-so I don’t know if there are growing pains or if this is unusual.
always one of our favorites...the manager Cynthia is fantastic and our server and bartender Bree
were both superb...One of our favorite places ever in Telluride...We highly recommend it...
Nora was wonderful and food was delicious! The Pad Thai is the best, but the wow-the crab regoons -yummy!!
Entrees were good. Service was a little slow at times, but friendly. Biggest issue was dried-out brownie dessert, which they graciously comped, but we were amazed that the kitchen could produce something so clearly unacceptable (we’re not that picky), when the food otherwise was excellent.
