The food was pleasant the ambience was pretty but our Waiter was so busy pandering over an Obviously very well to do couple he had known from my previous dining experience, We were basically ignored. He forgot to bring us either water or the complementary edamame appetizer that every other table seem to have—Although the restaurant was not busy he seldom Checked back at our table and we needed to ask other waiters for utensils and Our bill. Having your traveled extensively in Thailand we were surprised at the high price and the relatively mediocre service at this restaurant

Sweetest and saltiest Tom Kah soup I’ve ever had. It was difficulty to eat. Almost like it was concentrated and needed to be watered down. My entree came out wrong and when I got it came back out it was incredibly bland.

Chicken Satay appetizer came out with dinner even though two other apps came out on time. They did comp the Satay. Most proteins (chicken, short rib) were over cooked. Restaurant was not that busy and service was just ok. Second time now we haven't been that impressed. To bad as it is very convenient to us. Shared with a bartender in town and informed us that the original head chef had left. Makes sense now.

We have been to Talay Grille many times and loved it but this time, my husband had a health issue that required us to leave before our food was served. They quickly boxed our dinners and assisted us out to our car. Evan, the manager as well as our waiter could not have been more gracious and helpful. I can easily recommend Talay for the food which is excellent but their service is unparalleled.

Great place to go eat up in the village if you're staying in town. Good food, we loved the spicy Thai dishes. The services was a bit slow, waited forever to get our wine.

We have been here before and loved the food. Our waiter completely messed up our order. It took forever to get our food and when we did it was cold. It was either an unusual night or they are not what they used to be.

We have been to this restaurant many times over the years as it has changed and morphed. I agree with previous post, last year was great, what happened. I was there a week ago and it was ok. We had a particularly poor dish this time. The waiter was appropriately apologetic and had the manager stop who basically dismissed us. If you receive food that tastes as if it is watery from being unfrozen, especially if it is one of the persons only choices, it would be customary to remove it from the bill. I wouldn't even be writing this poor review if it had been appropriately addressed. This restaurant has the opportunity to be a neighborhood gem and has been in the past. They need some quality control and to carry through when it disappoints.

Food came out cold and all main dishes had difdeeent proteins with a smoky, chemical like taste. The sister restaurant downtown is so much better.

Just a fantastic meal, highly recommend the appetizers..all of them. Had the pad Thai which was delicious. Our server was a good sport with a large group on the ski trip and helped ensure we had a great time.

The waiter was sick and continued to cough and blow his noise the whole dinner. The soup that I normally get was not good, and the description of all the items on menu didn't match the food that was brought to us. I would not go back! Too much money, slow service and now I have a cold thanks to our waiter!

Service was good, dietary restrictions are handled well. Food is ok, but not as good as in the past. Soup and appetizer rolls were good, but noodle dishes were somewhat tired. The tofu seemed like it was fried ahead and there was little in the way of fresh vegetables in the noodles
, just a couple of pieces of green pepper.

Talay has raised its bar this year. The food was so good. We’ve been dining in Talay for several years now and this year it was beyond good. We live in NYC, so am accustomed to good Thai food. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Evan the manager is very accommodating and really cares about the patrons that dine in Talay. Thank you Evan!!!

Talay is a gem in Mountain Village. Friendly, attentive service, wonderful choice of small plates and traditional Thai favorites. Cocktails are innovative and taste as good as they look. Try the dumplings, handrolls, and steamed buns.

We were disappointed in our experience here, both because of the slow service and mixed quality of the dishes. We had a 6pm reservation and did not receive our first appetizer until after 7pm. Several of the dishes, including the miso soup, were extremely salty. The steamed rice was not fully cooked. Perhaps the kitchen was under-staffed due to the holiday week but, given the high cost of the food, we expected much better.

Our server Johnnie was awesome , attentive and made us feel welcome. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and very welcoming to questions. The food was delicious especially the Talay Snapper - a knockout! The classic Pad See Ew was also very good - the spice level was perfect. Overall we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend!

I always enjoy Talay Grille. We dined on the Crispy Red Snapper, the Crispy Half Duck And Chicken Drunken Noodles. The fish is served whole and the meat comes right off the bone so juicy and tender. The duck is boneless and served with brocolli, again tender and flavorful. Their Drunken Noodles are delicious! Our serve Johnny was personable and made sure our food came out on time and was attentive to follow up. We will be back!
