We we’re charged $20 for a dish we never received. Way over priced. Paella below average. Fish over cooked and chicken too tough to chew

We enjoyed our stunning views on the deck. The service was as fantastic just as you would expect. Excluding their amazing "FILETE A LA MOSTAZA" ($60) itself, most everything else fell short. Including the steaks mustard demi-glaze which had a non-synergistic taste. Warning: get that glaze on the side.

Their appetizers were o.k.. We had the LOBSTER TOSTADAS* ($28) which was better than the "PULPO FRITO" ($24). The latter was good. But the flavor didn't wow me (though the texture was perfect).

I enjoyed my "SHELTON’S NATURAL 1/2 CHICKEN) ($37). but again, it didn't blow me away. Rather, a good chicken like you would expect at a place 1/2 the price.

We got the following for sides. GRILLED ASPARAGUS ($12) was very good. They say "BROCCOLI RABE's" ($12) sharp bitterness is actually its most redeeming quality. My taste buds didn't appreciate the ultra-bitter taste. I found it to taste awful and we left it behind. The "RACLETTE MASHED POTATOES" ($12) were very good. Ours were not mashed. Evidentily, we got something off of the menu? And the "ESQUITES ($12)" which is cream corn was extremely good.

Beer comes in a can at the proper temp. The highlight was the custom Gin and tonics. We tried a couple and were delighted! Kudos to the bartender artist!

All and all, I understand why there was no one inside the restaurant at 6PM on Saturday night. And by 7:30, the patio was 1/2 cleared out without their tables being turned to another even diner. Big picture, the views better make up for the food. IMO, I was underwhelmed at any price. We walked away spending $330 after gratuity. I can think of 100 Scottsdale restaurants that I would prefer. And when the price is factored in, give me another 200 more. YMMV. Make sure you try those Gin and Tonics! Yum! We will be back to the bar.

Talavera was exceptional!! I brought my girlfriend (Now Fiancée) for a special night. The staff was beyond amazing! We were treated like royalty. From the first hello, to the have a goodnight. They made sure we were taken care of. The food was delicious and on point! They made this day really special for us!! We will come back in the future!

It was a perfect night to have dinner outside. And Talavera didn't disappoint. The food, drinks, staff, atmosphere were all outstanding. I cannot recommend enough the Filete a la Mostaza with Raclette Mashed Potatoes while sipping on an Old Fashion. Take it all in.

Nice view, but food very expensive and very average.. Ribeye was cooked way over-- 78 bucks and 1/4 inch thick?!. and cooked dead. Paialla was ok but seriously NO CRISPY RICE? big rice mush pile.

Like the ambiance but wouldn't return for super-pricey sub par food.

Too dark at 8:00 to enjoy the view. Was able to get there by Uber but NO Uber or taxi service that far out of town to get back! Had to pay the hotel limo $75 to get back to Paradise Valley!
The head-on prawn appetizer was excellent. The individual seafood paella was LOADED with protein—maybe even too much. The rice lacked any crusty socarrat. Service and drinks very good.

Wonderful view. Cuisine mediocre. Service overall very good. Waiter's description of items was a bit off, and he made no recommendations or suggestions for pairing. Very nice of manager to come over and see how evening was going.

Great service and views. The staff was great. Our waiter was very attentive and helped us with some selections and recommendations and he was right on. The food was good but the views made the night. We sat on the patio and could not ask for a better spot.

The space is great! Next time I would like to sit in the outdoor space but our table was very nice.

Everything we had was great! But a few special call out: PAN CON TOMATE this was outstanding- it reminded me of what we had in Spain. It is simple but delicious. Also the SECRETO IBERICO - it was delicious! I can’t recommend it enough if you like pork.

We had a great time and a delicious meal and we will be back again!

Great ambiance and the location is beautiful. Great service from start to finish. Had an early reservation to see sunset. Preferred the scallops over the mussels for appetizers. Filet was tender and flavorful. Highly recommend the mashed potatoes.

The food and service were exceptional. The general ambience and character of the dining area was very good. Staff was professional and attentive, our waiter was superb! The view of Pinnacle Peak was worth $1 million, however Workmans ladders from an ongoing maintenance project we’re left on the patio. The quality of the dinner more than made up for the ladders.

For all the hype I read on reviews I was expecting a lot more, a lot more flavor, a lot more spice a lot more value. The food was mediocre in taste and zing. Its was not worth the price of dinner. The service was fantastic. Never going back, will not reccomend going

What an incredible experience!!!! Staff was incredible, super accommodating and the food was amazing! It was our 10yr anniversary and it was perfect! My wife said after dinner that we need to come back every month! Thanks again!

Outdoor patio closed and looked at construction equipment. Ribeye was barely warm, came cut up, and very poor quality Not even close to what I expected for $80.

Wow. Just wow. One of the best meals of our life. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and the staff at Talavera were so sweet and attentive. I have a gluten allergy and felt well taken care of - they could make almost everything on their menu gluten free. We each had the filet and shared the mashed potatoes and asparagus and everything was so delicious. Highly, highly recommend.

We dined at Talavera for a 60th Birthday celebration. The location is spectacular and it was amazing to drive up and just see the scenery. The drinks were outstanding and so creative. The food was incredible, and the flavor profiles were amazing. We had the Paella, and the combination of proteins was fabulous and everything was cooked perfectly. I was recently in Maine a f had lobster every day. The lobster in this dish was prepared better than most lobster I had in Maine. And the dessert did not disappoint. The churros!!! The cheesecake!!! It is pricey but absolutely worth it for a special occasion.

If I had it to do over I would go about 6:30 and sit outside with a drink from The bar and eat dinner after the sun sets. The sunsets here are spectacular!

Fantastic night! It was my husbands birthday and dinner was definitely birthday worthy. Our waiter was welcoming and impeccable. I would give more stars for service if I could. We had the chorizo & queso, paella, pork shoulder, corn and mashed potatoes. I loved all of it. My husband felt like there was too much going on with the corn. The star was the paella. Beautiful single portion with seafood barely fitting in the bowl. I know our faces lit up when it was served. Portions were manageable too. This is not a place that serves 4 portions in one meal. Despite that we still had to take some home (not the paella, it was gone!). The wine was overpriced, definitely a case of paying for the ambiance. Even after sunset you could still see the outline of the mountain, very pretty views.

My most important advice, save room for the churros. They were a perfect finale!

Missed the mark. For a menu of this caliber, and for spending $1000 for a table of 4, I expected better service. The waiter wasn’t “bad” by any means. But when you work in a place like this, and make this kind of money, you better be the best. A lot to improve on as far as attentiveness & wine knowledge. Doesn’t help the entire staff is wearing masks and it’s impossible to hear them or see their smile. Makes me not want to come back here. Why go to dinner if you’re just getting served by a emotionless staff. Bad on Four Seasons part. Manager was new, and it was obvious. So many other great restaurants in the area, wouldn’t choose Talavera anytime soon

Nice place inside with a lovely view. However the food is very overrated and over priced. For the signature dish of paella at $54 I would expect to have a bigger portion without burnt rice and undercooked shrimp and lobster. The lobster crudo was also tiny and disgusting. The lamb chops that were on special were quite good. The service and our waiter were excellent.
