Very nice restaurant within the Four Seasons Hotel. Beautiful view from the outside dining area.
Food was delicious. We tried both paella’s, the filet, beet salad, and scallops. All very good. Limited wine menu but you should be able to find something. Service was very good. Will definitely return.

Waiter for tables adjacent was awesome. Ours barely showed to check on us for my birthday dinner out. The manager did stop by fortunately after my bloody steak sat in front of me for about 10 minutes barely eaten. My wife had a great Lamb dish. My steak was the special, ordered medium, and was bloody and mostly not cooked enough to eat unless you like raw meat. I do not. The view was awesome, margarita excellent and appetizers very good. The 4-top next to us was filled by a truly obnoxious two couples who were not just loud, terribly judgmental, but also spewed non-stop profanity as they insulted anyone note as woke as they are, from their exclusive club at home to the general population unwilling to wear masks everywhere....... all while they got hammered and had no masks on their California faces. The staff tolerated their rude behavior and did not ask them to cool it. Overall as far less than great experience. My raw steak was taken off my charge, along with our first two of four margaritas, making the cost in line with the value.

Great food despite confused concept.
As usual the FS delivered a great quality dinner but as someone who has grown up between Latin America and Europe, it let me wondering what is their concept: Mexican options mixed with Spanish [as in Spain] tapas and entrees and Celia Cruz [Cuban singer] in the back? Is it another confused concept that lumps all Spanish speaking countries into "one" identity? 🙄🤔🤔🤔

As local foodies, we've been to Talavera several times. This latest visit was with our family, and as usual the setting and food was fantastic; we have yet to find a Spanish meal as good as this one (though, slightly different, Prado at Omni and Renata's Hearth at the Biltmore are also quite good). Our main failing this last visit was the service: though we had a head and assistant waiter, and service was courteous, it just wasn't particularly attentive. Food came out a bit slow, which is fine, but service can offset that with checking in (it didn't), and when we had some feedback for the kitchen (they ruined the chocolate with the Churro's by over-salting it), we were looked at like we were trying to get a free dish ("Why did you eat it then?" ...We didn't.). At $500 for the bill, I don't think a $10 dessert is going to keep us up at night; we were just trying to let the kitchen know they had a problem that needed attending to, but the wait staff in that moment never felt more like we were at a Motel 6 and not a Four Seasons. But that's a small thing in an otherwise fantastic meal, and if you like great views and sunsets, a serene setting and awesome Spanish food, it's a great choice.

Always plan for a dinner at Talavera when we visit N. Scottsdale.

Service (David, Miranda) and food was outstanding.

Nobel bread, grilled squid, beet salad, trout, lamb shank and grilled pumpkin were memorable.

Good to see André from our Dec 2020 visit.

Most satisfying was enjoying the lively, holiday celebrating clientele and wait staff.

Merry Christmas Talavera 🎄

We enjoyed our stunning views on the deck. The service was as fantastic just as you would expect. Excluding their amazing "FILETE A LA MOSTAZA" ($60) itself, most everything else fell short. Including the steaks mustard demi-glaze which had a non-synergistic taste. Warning: get that glaze on the side.

Their appetizers were o.k.. We had the LOBSTER TOSTADAS* ($28) which was better than the "PULPO FRITO" ($24). The latter was good. But the flavor didn't wow me (though the texture was perfect).

I enjoyed my "SHELTON’S NATURAL 1/2 CHICKEN) ($37). but again, it didn't blow me away. Rather, a good chicken like you would expect at a place 1/2 the price.

We got the following for sides. GRILLED ASPARAGUS ($12) was very good. They say "BROCCOLI RABE's" ($12) sharp bitterness is actually its most redeeming quality. My taste buds didn't appreciate the ultra-bitter taste. I found it to taste awful and we left it behind. The "RACLETTE MASHED POTATOES" ($12) were very good. Ours were not mashed. Evidentily, we got something off of the menu? And the "ESQUITES ($12)" which is cream corn was extremely good.

Beer comes in a can at the proper temp. The highlight was the custom Gin and tonics. We tried a couple and were delighted! Kudos to the bartender artist!

All and all, I understand why there was no one inside the restaurant at 6PM on Saturday night. And by 7:30, the patio was 1/2 cleared out without their tables being turned to another even diner. Big picture, the views better make up for the food. IMO, I was underwhelmed at any price. We walked away spending $330 after gratuity. I can think of 100 Scottsdale restaurants that I would prefer. And when the price is factored in, give me another 200 more. YMMV. Make sure you try those Gin and Tonics! Yum! We will be back to the bar.

It was a perfect night to have dinner outside. And Talavera didn't disappoint. The food, drinks, staff, atmosphere were all outstanding. I cannot recommend enough the Filete a la Mostaza with Raclette Mashed Potatoes while sipping on an Old Fashion. Take it all in.

Nice view, but food very expensive and very average.. Ribeye was cooked way over-- 78 bucks and 1/4 inch thick?!. and cooked dead. Paialla was ok but seriously NO CRISPY RICE? big rice mush pile.

Like the ambiance but wouldn't return for super-pricey sub par food.

Too dark at 8:00 to enjoy the view. Was able to get there by Uber but NO Uber or taxi service that far out of town to get back! Had to pay the hotel limo $75 to get back to Paradise Valley!
The head-on prawn appetizer was excellent. The individual seafood paella was LOADED with protein—maybe even too much. The rice lacked any crusty socarrat. Service and drinks very good.

The space is great! Next time I would like to sit in the outdoor space but our table was very nice.

Everything we had was great! But a few special call out: PAN CON TOMATE this was outstanding- it reminded me of what we had in Spain. It is simple but delicious. Also the SECRETO IBERICO - it was delicious! I can’t recommend it enough if you like pork.

We had a great time and a delicious meal and we will be back again!

The food and service were exceptional. The general ambience and character of the dining area was very good. Staff was professional and attentive, our waiter was superb! The view of Pinnacle Peak was worth $1 million, however Workmans ladders from an ongoing maintenance project we’re left on the patio. The quality of the dinner more than made up for the ladders.
