Wonderful service and ambiance. A little noisy, but phenomenal food.
We had the paella and bone in ribeye. Both were excellent!
Very interesting menu. Items on menu that would be hard to find other places.
Thanksgiving buffet was great
Had a great dinner last night. We had requested an indoor table but with a view. We were seated at one of the best tables next to the fire and overlooking the patio. Service was impeccable. Food was also great, especially enjoyed the lamb meatballs and the paella. Highly recommend!
Thanks for taking a moment to share your experience with other diners! We're so happy to hear that you had an amazing meal at Talavera. We look forward to serving you again soon!
View was incredible however the service was not up to Four Season standards.
Thank you for taking a moment to share your dining experience with others, and we are sorry to read that you didn't feel as though our service met your expectations. We'd welcome further conversation about your dining experience so that we may improve for a future visit, and we'd love the opportunity to serve you again soon. Thank you again for sharing your review!
Beautiful setting overlooking Scottsdale but loud, dull, monotonous music. Not traditional Spanish menu but modern twist on classics. Outstanding steak but paella was topped with loads of chimichurri sauce which overpowered the entire dish.
Thank you for sharing your dining experience with others! We're glad to hear that you enjoyed our views and steak during your visit, but we are disappointed to hear that your meal didn't completely exceed your expectations. We very much appreciate you taking a moment to share your feedback with us in regards to the music and we will consider making changes to it in the future. We'd love for you to join us on Thursday evenings when we have a live flamenco guitarist playing in the dining room!
Very beautiful with outstanding service. Great for celebrations or to take a date. We sat outside and had an amazing view. Food - outstanding. Portion sizes good.
Thank you for taking some time to share your review with others, Irene! We're so happy to hear that you had a great dining experience with us, and look forward to serving you again soon!
At the foot of Pinnacle Peak sitting outside was a real treat. The food isn’t cheap but it’s worth it. They brought us a beautiful and delicious piece of cake for our anniversary-gratis. We loved it there.
Wow, thank you so kindly for the glowing review! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with other guests. We're thrilled you had a great anniversary celebration with us, and that you got to take in the views from our patio so that you had a memorable evening! We look forward to serving you again soon!
Dining al fresco in November may be something that we expect in Arizona but this setting is special. We shared Pan Con Tomate, Grilled Octopus and Seafood Paella. Both food and service were exemplary.
We sat outside at the same table we had in April. Very special setting. We watched Venus set.
Pictures can’t do this place justice. It is unbelievably scenic. Great atmosphere, especially the patio! Impeccable service! Really delicious food and beverages. Just a tremendous experience, and one we would not only highly recommend, but one we would definitely do again!
We live in the valley so we came here just for the restaurant, not as guests of the resort. It seemed most of the other guests were staying at the resort but that didn't bother us one bit. Everything was outstanding - the food, service, wine list, view - I absolutely recommend eating here.
Talavera never disappoints. The wine list is amazing and the food always fresh and flavorful. Always one of our go-to places when we’re in town.
Absolutely outstanding service and meal. Food was divine, vies were beautiful. Wonderful experience.
We had a reservation and arrived a few minutes early but the hostess told us we would would have to wait. It seemed as though she was making us wait until our reservation time. But she didn't indicate where we should wait, so I asked if waiting in the bar would be fine. We did sit in the bar and ordered drinks. We waited 20 minutes or so and I went to make sure the hostess knew where we were waiting. She said she had asked the bartender to inform us that the reservations were "backed up" and they were going to comp our drinks and give us snacks. We had already paid for our drinks but when I returned to the bar table the snacks were there. In a few more minutes we were shown to our table and we told the waiter about the comp drinks we were due and he made sure our first two drinks were indeed comped. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service at the table. We sat inside and it was already dark so that was fine. We had the lamb meatballs, Tortilla Espanola, and patatas bravas. Everything was delicious. For dessert we had the churros and cheesecake. We would recommend this restaurant and would go again.
Chef is superb. One of the top 3-4 in Phoenix/Scottsdale. One of our favorite restaurants.
Our guests were very impressed and will return. My wife was overwhelmed by the special Birthday dessert. It was marvelous and we shared it all around. We have been to Talavera many times, mostly for special occasions and was just as impressed with the ambiance, food and service. A great evening for all four of us.
the place has great views, service is great and very friendly. Cuisine was disappointing, very fat...spicy, overcooked. Desert was a ...dry and tasteless chocolate cake.
beautiful setting - definitely go early to see the sunset. food and service were outstanding.
This is our first trip back to the Four Seasons North Troon since they reimagined and refreshed the Talavera restaurant format last year. Talavera has always been a well run restaurant however its new Spanish/Latin incarnation is wonderfully focussed, distinctive and as you would expect @Four Seasons, beautifully executed. When excellent restaurants change leadership, they rarely surpass what was. Talavera is an exception. Our experiences during our stay were nothing but exceptional and enjoyable in this wonderfully elegant and relaxed restaurant. An excellent menu and overall, a very pleasant surprise that I would highly recommend.
One of the best meals my husband and I have ever had before. We came in for our first wedding anniversary and their service was phenomenal, from the moment we walked into the restaurant to the dessert course the appetizers wine, a
The food was not very good and very overpriced for what you get.
Wonderful tapas Restauraunt!!!! Great find for us! Had a wonderful dinner on the patio overlooking the valley to the south. Very happy with service food and ambiance. If you like tapas. Check it out.
It's a beautiful restaurant with beautiful views of the valley and pinnacle peak.
The food was amazing! There was also a wedding that had fireworks, making our celebration extra special.
Beautiful atmosphere and architecture, such a nice view too. Amazing food and amazing service!
The restaurant has beautiful views. The food was good, but for the price it wasn’t worth it. We won’t be coming back.
Great meal in a great location. Efficient service.
Everyone at the resort was very professional and welcoming, waitress in the bar and the hostess were excellent,I have dined there before and was expecting a much better experience in the restaurant than we received. No one came back to check on our dinners, I had a pork shank which was fine, but the accompaniment was squash which was so hard I could barely cut it with my knife. . I realize this is restaurant week and perhaps that is why we weren’t given the kind of service we expected, but I will not return at any time. Restaurant week should be a time to to give people a great dining experience so they want to come back. Our waiter was not available to give us dessert, nor were we able to find him to pay our bill. Another employee brought our desserts and reminded our waiter that we wanted to pay. Overall it was not a very pleasant evening and I’m very sorry for that because the resort is lovely and I had planned to bring visitors but will not.
Service slow but good. Small portion pricey. Great view
Amazing food and ambience.
Service started off great but the server must’ve gotten busy with other tables as he wasn’t nearly as present towards the end.
Chef deserves the James Beard Award!
I asked twice for the air conditioning to be turned up so it was not so cold for my 80 year old parents. Twie promised and never was fulfilled. Cold air kept blowing on us throughout dinner. We asked for a table out fo the sun as my father has skin cancer. We were sat at a table in the setting sun and I had to sit so I could shadow my Dad's face for 10 minutes until the sun set low enough. I asked for two things and Talavera management failed to do either of them.
Incredible presentation and the views from the patio are amazing. Great service.
We eat out a lot, and consider ourselves foodies; we find most expensive restaurants are good, but the food at Talavera was another level— what you hope for in an upscale restaurant; The tortilla española was a surprise of flavors at several levels, the barramundi had a gremolata sauce that took it from a good to a great dish, pork mole was what you hope for in a molé, not too sweet, and spice was interesting, not just picante, though it was that too, pork fell off the bone into that delicious molé. Desserts also great, cheesecake consistency was a lighter fluffier version of New York style with a great raspberry sauce. When we arrived there was live music that was WAY too loud in the hotel lobby, which got us worried, but the restaurant was insulated from that, and playing nice Spanish themed music. Service was not overly fast but pleasant and we were not in a hurry to wolf down the delicious food, so it all worked out well. Although it is a drive from Tempe, we will be back, and recommend to our friends who like interesting and tasty food.
Paella was brought on a separate plate that was hot and very surprised they didn’t serve it. I don’t think the spatula and the serving spoon were the best utensils to be using servers did not come back to see if we were enjoying our food .
They were out of the flavor sorbet we ordered and they brought a substitute favor without asking us to choose the flavor. There were 2 options.
I normally don’t write reviews I was disappointed because I excepted more from a Four Seasons Restaurant.
Wonderful atmosphere. Love to go there whenever we vacation in Arizona
PERFECT! Wonderful setting, service was perfect, food cooked to perfection.
Had a lovely evening at Talavera. The food was excellent and took me back to trips taken to Spain. Service was attentive but not annoying. Appreciate everyone's work to make our visit a lovely experience.
