Talavera Cocina Mexicana
This genuine and refined Mexican spirit of the Talavera art sets the ground for the spirit of our menu. From the "Huarache" grill, a series of delicate dishes served on a corn tortilla base, to a variety of regional specialties from Sonora to Oaxaca, from Michoacan to Puebla, from Jalisco to Yucatan.
Talavera, the art of a genuine and refined taste of Mexico.

Tacos de Carnitas
Three tacos on handmade tortillas, filled with pulled pork topped with onion and cilantro, served with guacamole and guajillo chile sauce
We were celebrating a birthday and we had a wonderful time. Manager was friendly, service was great, food was excellent. I always enjoy coming here.
Sad to say the food was not of the same quality as it was when they opened.
Great waiter. He was very helpful with menu. We loved everything.
This was my first lunch time experience at Talavera and I’m happy to say they knocked it out of the park. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself in the past I can say with confidence they checked all the right boxes for service, flavor and experience.
love the tamarindo margaritas. eclectic high end creative menu.
always a pleasure to eat and visit there--consistenly good.
Service was excellent and food was great!
WOWWWWW. Everything was so delicious. Spectacular. Cannot wait to go back.
the food was delicious. the place is beautiful as well.
Always a good experience, great margaritas, and food
Great food. The service is always excellent and friendly.
Excellent food and service. Talavera Cocina never disappoints. High quality food at a reasonable price.
I love this place! The food is consistently tasty and fresh.
Food was beautifully presented & delicious. Server was very pleasant.
As always the food didn't disappoint. Service was slow even though there were only 3 tables inside that were occupied and one one outside. It was uncomfortably hot inside the restaurant. Prices were fair.
I love this place. It was the first time going. Food was amazing but I felt like the customer service was being a little pushy. I felt rushed to order and to eat the whole time I was there. It was uncomfortable.
Really good food and super nice service. We sat outside and the restaurant in front had tv with all the volume up which made it impossible to hear the conversation at our table.
Service was slow and distracted. Food was late and past its prime. Not a good performance.
I'm super duper glad I came across this amazing Mexican/Peruvian joint!!! The service coming in was very welcoming and outdoor dining was very nice in the evening so it wasn't too hot. They put a bottle of hand sanitizer in every table, the staff wears a mask at all times and gloves as well. My boyfriend and I went had the 3 course dinner which included appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Happy hour is 4-7PM weekdays and drinks are half off! I ordered a sangria for $4.50 which is a great deal! Don't hesitate to try this place out because every bit you take is heaven and atmosphere is very relaxing and friendly Cannot wait time come back again!!
Excellent choice on this new situation. Enough outdoor space and excellent food quality and quantity.
Great Food, Great Service and Great Ambience!! Love the outdoor area.
Amazingly delicious and great service. All COVID-19 guidelines in place. I recommend it 100%.
always love the food here. service was a little slow this time around...but everyone is dealing with the new regulations/guidelines for covid19....so no complaints...

We went to Talavera while in Miami to take our son to UMiami. The seating was outdoors at Miracle Mike. The food was good and service was good, not the best though. We had a hard time tracking down our waiter a few times, although but he was very nice. I had the skirt steak which was excellent. I would recommend Talavera.
Had to seat outside and the heat was uncomfortable at times. The food was excellent and so was the service. Margaritas one of the best around Miami.
Amazing food and drinks.
Our reservation was at 8:30pm, we arrived at 8:35pm. They said they could not seat 5 of us together and that was NOT stated on the reservation page. I would have made a reservation at another restaurant as we try to support the local businesses and eat out every Saturday night. They said it would be 30-40 minutes and I told her we had a reservation. The hostess was not empathetic that I was there for a birthday and was extremely upset I would be waiting. There were two tables with families of five with small children but in my opinion five people is five people. A few people without reservations received a table before we did although they had less people they should have been holding a table aside since they needed two tables and they could have sat three of us. I had to approach the hostess five to eight times to point out that there is a curfew and if we are not seated soon we will not be able to eat. The hostess said said there was no longer a curfew which was incorrect information. Finally we were seated; two of us in one table and three in a table half the size of the table for two. I told the server that was completely unacceptable and they needed a bigger table. There were two tables that needed to be cleaned that were bigger and finally someone cleaned one and the rest of my family was seated. Thee water took forever to be refilled and it was very hot outside. The food was fair and we were rushed to eat. We should have been compensated for the waiting, inconvenience and being rushed. A horrible eating experience and we will never go back. An apology should have been given and they have no right to take reservations when they do not seat people according to them.
Talavera serves the most authentic Mexican food in town. My favorite dish is the Chile Relleno — it’s off menu, but they usually have it. It’s reminiscent of the one my Abuela would make. Their salsitas and margaritas are also great!! You can’t go wrong dining here if you like good food and good service.
everything was absolutely delicious. Socially distant compliant. Very clean and sanitized work areas and tables. Glassware and silverware were Clean. Offered plastic ware for convenience.
Food and Service were excellent
Always excellent. Even with this difficult time.
Excellent service and food! This was our first outing after the Covid-19 pandemic began in March and the team at Talavera was very welcoming and did a great job of putting us at ease not only with distancing tables but also taking all necessary sanitary precautions for their diners.
Talavera never disappoints. In spite of restrictions, the staff was exemplary. The food, as always, was excellent. Kudos to your team.
Best Mexican restaurant in Miami! Have gone there for years.
My favorite “mole”.
Better yet being well served.
In Miami, good customer service is not easy to find...
Superb food and service!
Food was good for the price points, service can be improved.
Surprisingly poor. Tasteless seviche. No lime or lemon juice, onion barely avocado. Didn't taste the onion, fish was very soft. Then ordered the carne asada a la Talavera and it was presented well done when we had ordered one medium and one medium-rare. Waiter changed it and brought us medium-well. Wasn't worth the $27.00. Will try again. I have eaten there better.
