the place has great views, service is great and very friendly. Cuisine was disappointing, very fat...spicy, overcooked. Desert was a ...dry and tasteless chocolate cake.
beautiful setting - definitely go early to see the sunset. food and service were outstanding.
This is our first trip back to the Four Seasons North Troon since they reimagined and refreshed the Talavera restaurant format last year. Talavera has always been a well run restaurant however its new Spanish/Latin incarnation is wonderfully focussed, distinctive and as you would expect @Four Seasons, beautifully executed. When excellent restaurants change leadership, they rarely surpass what was. Talavera is an exception. Our experiences during our stay were nothing but exceptional and enjoyable in this wonderfully elegant and relaxed restaurant. An excellent menu and overall, a very pleasant surprise that I would highly recommend.
One of the best meals my husband and I have ever had before. We came in for our first wedding anniversary and their service was phenomenal, from the moment we walked into the restaurant to the dessert course the appetizers wine, a
The food was not very good and very overpriced for what you get.
Wonderful tapas Restauraunt!!!! Great find for us! Had a wonderful dinner on the patio overlooking the valley to the south. Very happy with service food and ambiance. If you like tapas. Check it out.
It's a beautiful restaurant with beautiful views of the valley and pinnacle peak.
The food was amazing! There was also a wedding that had fireworks, making our celebration extra special.
Beautiful atmosphere and architecture, such a nice view too. Amazing food and amazing service!
The restaurant has beautiful views. The food was good, but for the price it wasn’t worth it. We won’t be coming back.
Everyone at the resort was very professional and welcoming, waitress in the bar and the hostess were excellent,I have dined there before and was expecting a much better experience in the restaurant than we received. No one came back to check on our dinners, I had a pork shank which was fine, but the accompaniment was squash which was so hard I could barely cut it with my knife. . I realize this is restaurant week and perhaps that is why we weren’t given the kind of service we expected, but I will not return at any time. Restaurant week should be a time to to give people a great dining experience so they want to come back. Our waiter was not available to give us dessert, nor were we able to find him to pay our bill. Another employee brought our desserts and reminded our waiter that we wanted to pay. Overall it was not a very pleasant evening and I’m very sorry for that because the resort is lovely and I had planned to bring visitors but will not.
Great meal in a great location. Efficient service.
Service slow but good. Small portion pricey. Great view
Amazing food and ambience.
Service started off great but the server must’ve gotten busy with other tables as he wasn’t nearly as present towards the end.
Chef deserves the James Beard Award!
I asked twice for the air conditioning to be turned up so it was not so cold for my 80 year old parents. Twie promised and never was fulfilled. Cold air kept blowing on us throughout dinner. We asked for a table out fo the sun as my father has skin cancer. We were sat at a table in the setting sun and I had to sit so I could shadow my Dad's face for 10 minutes until the sun set low enough. I asked for two things and Talavera management failed to do either of them.
Incredible presentation and the views from the patio are amazing. Great service.
We eat out a lot, and consider ourselves foodies; we find most expensive restaurants are good, but the food at Talavera was another level— what you hope for in an upscale restaurant; The tortilla española was a surprise of flavors at several levels, the barramundi had a gremolata sauce that took it from a good to a great dish, pork mole was what you hope for in a molé, not too sweet, and spice was interesting, not just picante, though it was that too, pork fell off the bone into that delicious molé. Desserts also great, cheesecake consistency was a lighter fluffier version of New York style with a great raspberry sauce. When we arrived there was live music that was WAY too loud in the hotel lobby, which got us worried, but the restaurant was insulated from that, and playing nice Spanish themed music. Service was not overly fast but pleasant and we were not in a hurry to wolf down the delicious food, so it all worked out well. Although it is a drive from Tempe, we will be back, and recommend to our friends who like interesting and tasty food.
Paella was brought on a separate plate that was hot and very surprised they didn’t serve it. I don’t think the spatula and the serving spoon were the best utensils to be using servers did not come back to see if we were enjoying our food .
They were out of the flavor sorbet we ordered and they brought a substitute favor without asking us to choose the flavor. There were 2 options.
I normally don’t write reviews I was disappointed because I excepted more from a Four Seasons Restaurant.
Wonderful atmosphere. Love to go there whenever we vacation in Arizona
PERFECT! Wonderful setting, service was perfect, food cooked to perfection.
Had a lovely evening at Talavera. The food was excellent and took me back to trips taken to Spain. Service was attentive but not annoying. Appreciate everyone's work to make our visit a lovely experience.
Everything was wonderful. It may have been the best steak I’ve ever had. The dishes all had tons of flavor and the service and atmosphere are beautiful.
Service slow. Food fair at best and expensively priced. Views if u eat outside are special
Lots of photo opportunities
The view is great, but the food is unbelievable overpriced. The will serve you one tomato cut in pieces for $15 and one little octopus leg for $20. We spent $250 for two and left hungry.
Food was a bit disappointing.. the paella talavera, especially
Service was pleasant but slow
Quite pricey for the value
Sat outside with lovely view, very nice evening... and that is the only reason we might recommend.. certainly not for the food
Excellent food, the talavera paella was incredible, would highly recommend!
Killer meal! Chef Samantha creates bold flavors that match up perfectly. Must have are the octopus and the paella. Best I ever had!
We enjoyed the “Summer in Seville” tasting menu for two. Not only was the food delicious and authentically Spanish, it was also inventive and the bottle of obscure Basque wine went perfectly with everything. The chef clearly was knowledgeable and skilled at her craft. We sat out on the terrace and enjoyed lovely views and our server and the other waitstaff was attentive and competent and very interested in what they were doing. We were impressed.
From the greeting of the valet, to the restaurant and hotel staff the service was beyond exceptional. Future meals here will be occurring. Could not have asked for a more pleasurable, worthwhile dining experience.
Great Food and Service!!!
Disorganized service & poor choices of food pairings leave one unsatisfied
Everything about or visit was fabulous! What made it even more enjoyable was our encounter with Anthony in the bar. I believe he is the manager of the bar. His personality and professionalism really made our evening! He even came to check on us during dinner! Oh ya, the food and the staff in the restaurant are great too!
The menu is very old. Hasn’t changed in several years. In dire need of updating
Every aspect was exceptional - They really made our anniversary special!
Fantastic evening. Service was top notch, food was spectacular.
We loved the food, but our top favorite was the gin bar. The service is Four Seasons quality. The view is spectacular.
Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Drinks from the new Gin Bar is great! Highly recommended this place.
Thursday night music was a special treat
Excelente menu option for couple.
Enjoyed very much.
Will come back
