We arrived early - and had we known about the Gin bar inside the restaurant, we would have loved to have enjoyed it. No one told us it was available. Instead we had a glass of wine at the hotel bar. No one told us about the Gin Bar. We love gin. We discovered it ourselves as we were leaving the restaurant. Also, We asked for our appetizer first, salad next, main course next, and finally desert. We like our meals in courses. They brought the salad first, and then the appetizer, while we were eating our salad and then the striped bass which was the fish of the day - that was also mediocre. Over all the meal was ok, and the service was ok. The Four Seasons is one of our favorite hotels, but next time, we will dine elsewhere.
Excellent service, beautiful view, delicious food and a good value. All you could ask for…..
The best restaurant! Would definitely come back again
We have dined here before and were thrilled to come back. The outdoor dining is a phenomenal experience at sunset. The wait staff is amazing and hostess very graceful and helpful. Now onto the meal - fantastic. We had fondue appetizer, pork shoulder, paella and steak. The three of us were ready to lick the plates clean. We cannot wait to come back.
Value was not good. Yes its a 4 seasons so we expect to pay a lot for a very good meal. However, the markup should not be so high for wine I can get at the grocery for the same price you are selling one glass.
Amazing food, fabulous service, stunning atmosphere!
I had just made paella a few weeks ago. We were all excited to try out this new Spanish experience. I tried booking a month and a half in advance but , as usual, 6 to 6:30 was taken but we could get 5:30pm. We took it. After the accommodating bus girl asked for our water preferences, the assistant server asked us if we wanted any other beverages. Then , our server came over. He was smarter and better than us and he wanted to make sure we knew that. After begrudgingly answering our questions about the menu, we ordered . 2 of us tried the regular paella and one of us got the vegetarian paella. My wife, the only smart one, got chicken. It turned out, it’s harder to screw up chicken than paella. The rice was not hot, maybe lukewarm. The 1/2 lobster tail, shrimp, pork etc. we’re merely placed on top instead of being cooked in the bad tasting cool rice. I realize some things needed precooking but everything? And how about serving it HOT. We left, unfulfilled and looked around. The place wasn’t even half full and it was 7:30ish. What a sham!! Why not give us the time we asked for? Do yourself a favor. Let the tourists suffer through the meal.
Art & Mira where INCREDIBLE as was the food & ambiance. It was one of the best dining experiences of me life!! Thank you so much!!
Anthony, the manager is awesome!!!! He is super friendly, and very on top of everything!!!😎👍
This is the second time I’ve been here and there will be a third. I think they do a good job mixing classic Spanish with some modern touches. The food is prepared well, however, a dash more of salt would throw it over the top - not on the paella but the steak and patatas bravas needed some for sure.
I also think this is an elegant restaurant, I love the dark wood and the whole feel of the place.
Great for special occasions. Great service. A bit pricey. Only food criticism is that the rice in the paella absorbs too much salt from the sausage for my taste.
We loved the food; the view is amazing! The service needed work... our waiter was 'terse'.. and the hostess, Nicole, who we greeted at 740pm , twenty minutes before our reservation , (so that we could enjoy a beverage on the patio at Onyx), stated she would come to get us , NEVER did. When at 825pm, (25 min past our dinner reservation!), we finally went to see her, she said we didn't have a reservation! ..she then stated after my husband reminder her of what she had said to us almost an hour prior, who we were and she said , 'OH no! I just seated another Kimberly at your table!' WE don't know if this is why our waiter seemed rushed with us... even serving us a dessert with tree nuts, ( I am allergic to!), that we had gone over prior to the dinner... ( we didn't get offered a menu for dessert, he only rattled them off to us while looking around so we could not see the ingredients ourselves). OVERALL.. great meal... expensive .. NOT as many tapas as I would have expected. Great view. Make a reservation way out.
The Ribeye steak we had was one of the worst I have ever had in my life. The side dishes were ok. I don't mind paying top dollar for a great meal. But for a $80 Ribeye that you could get a better one at Applebees for $25 is outrageous.
Will never come back.
It was beautiful, but we were NOT seated outside- only 2 tables, including us were indoors. I called a few times, including that day to request earlier seating(WHICH THERE WAS PLENTY!) and outside, but was told nothing was available. OUR WAITER DISAPPEARED AFTER OUR ORDERS WERE TAKEN, and we were the last table cleaned up at the end of the night at 9:30 (7:30 reservation). It was just disappointing to drive 40 minutes away to experience this lovely restaurant from the inside as the only guests indoors. We felt as if we were treated differently b/c we were not staying at the hotel. Bummer - for a $900 meal.
My wife and I had an amazing date night here and the atmosphere and food was well worth the price. Highly recommend this if you’re wanting a finer dining experience.
Fabulous experience. Food and service were outstanding.
Amazing experience! The food, service, and views were absolutely perfect. They even surprised us with some cheesecake for our honeymoon dinner!
This is a great restraunt and the atmosphere is amazing. We were seated outdoors and the weather and views were amazing.
Overpriced and food was not very good. Service was excellent and the ambiance was great!
Food was bland. Service was not on level of the FS hotel brand and reputation.
While I understand covid has impacted the restaurant market there was no update given to me from 2 calls to confirm my reservation that the menu is half the size. Only two bread options available and cost me $22 as a high end place like this doesn't serve complimentary bread nor did they have thr bread option we liked from previous visits.. only 2 appetizer options that didn't sound good (grilled octopus and a shellfish-like mix) The salad options were lackluster at best - a beet and weed like salad (no Cesar, wedge, or the like). The entree options included a filet, 20oz sirloin, chicken, pork, and 2 fish. Went with the 8oz filet and it was good. The sides were limited to two potatoes, a Mexican corn, asparagus and a broccoli. Desserts were limited to two options. So for 2 breads, 1 salad split, 1 filet and 1 pork and 2 bottles of Justin Cab($100 per) I spent $400. My wife and I have come here 3 out of last 4 years on our anniversary- but I believe it's time to find another restaurant as Talavera left me wanting a whole lot more. They did offer a complimentary churro with chocolate dessert for our anniversary and we were greeted and they acknowledged our anniversary but I did inform them of the occasion, so i would expect this follow-up. With places like Mastros, Preston's and others not far - I just can see going back.
“Back to Normal” experience!
We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday, patio has a very beautiful view of the mountain. The appetizers, lamb and paella were very good and we received excellent service taking in consideration the covid limitations. I would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion and looking forward to come back once all covid regulations have gone to properly enjoy the real atmosphere of Talavera.
Incredible food & good service
Beautiful views outdoors. Excellent bone marrow with carpaccio and the corvina! The $80 ribeye was significantly overcooked. Wouldn’t recommend the sous vide lamb shank. Attentive service.
great food and relaxing venue. was our 4th time since august.
Beautiful resort with great good! I had the lobster tostadas and the gem salad! Both were delicious. My husband had the paella and he loved it. The shrimp in it were very large it was a beautiful evening.
I took my girlfriend here for Valentines Day. We had reservations already. The experience was amazing all the way around. From the moment we got there with the lovely views and relaxing ambience to the top notch food selections and flavors. Our servers Mira and Ryan were really nice and attentive the whole time. Will definitely go here again.
The indoor atmosphere was just so-so. The waiter was spread thin so our service was sub-par. The food was good but not spectacular.
We had a fabulous dinner with friends! Dinner was great & service wonderful. We love Talavera ❤️
Very attentive. Not just to us but you could see the care as you watched others around you. Beautiful fire place and heaters around the patio to keep you comfortable while watching the sunset. Peaceful setting in a stunning location.
Perfect birthday night out!
Excellent quality filet, some of the best I’ve ever had. Raclette mashed potatoes out of this world.
Our waiter was friendly but forgetful. Left us waiting too long for service and then twice mixed up our order but then compensated by comping some bread and asparagus. He volunteered the comped items, no pressure from me.
Was absolutely remarkable. The chef delivered our special and it felt like we were at a chef’s table. The roasted bone marrow Topped with 30-day aged wagyu and ahi tuna tartare stole the show! The paella was the best we ever had (the Talavera), where the pork belly melted in our mouths, the smoked chicken thighs were incredibly tender, and the lobster/shrimp/mussels/clams were perfect tender. Drinks were perfect as well - dirty martinis and old fashioneds. The Iconoclast Cabernet was a perfect complement to the CAB filet (rare blue). LOVED IT!
