Unfortunately the food was great but the service was very bad. Our chief who made the food was great and I have no complaints about him. However, our server was incompetent and didn’t know how to split a cheque. Food was overpriced but that’s what you get at habachi too bad the service was smelly.

Our server was great for lunch. He was funny, orders were great and portions were very good. He was as entertaining as other Hibachi cooks- though we did not get the 'onion volcano' I am used to (maybe that is a dinner item). Prices ere very good for Hibachi- from 10-17.

This was my first visit to Taki. When my husband and I arrived, we had to wait about 5 minutes before we were greeted and it was clear they were not busy. After we were seated, we were greeted promptly by our server who took our drink orders. My drink was brought out promptly, but my husband had to wait 20 minutes before his was brought to him (and all he ordered was an old fashion). Our food was brought out promptly and was fabulous. We both ordered from the hibachi menu. While the service was off just a bit, I can recommend this restaurant and would definitely try again.

We went for my mom's birthday. We went on a Saturday at 145pm. We got seated right away.
The chef was very entertaining and funny. The food was really tasty and satisfying. The soup was hot the salad was fresh. I had shrimp and steak that was cooked perfectly. I would go back. The only draw back was the table was up high and the chairs were low. If you are short it will feel kind of awkward. But I still had a wonderful time. My mom and my sis enjoyed themselves too.

Staff was amazingly accommodating. We have special dietary needs, and they really went out of their way to be sure everyone was included in the dining experience. And they were helpful and upbeat the whole evening. The hibachi chef was quite good, friendly and funny, and the food was delicious. Overall a great experience.

We had lousy service from the minute we walked in the door - with a reservation. We eventually left without eating- after the manager was rude and fought with us. We had eaten here a number of times in the past with no problems. But the manager that night as well as one of the hosts were rude and condescending and not accommodating at all. I will never come back here - service is lousy and for the price you are paying - a lot - you should be able to expect good service. I will never recommend this restaurant. Go to Happy Sumo in Dunwoody instead - you will find much better food, service and overall ambiance at Happy Sumo.

This was our first time visiting Taki. Our server was very friendly, and we appreciated her honesty in letting us know that she was new. Though she was sincere, and we felt that she was trying, she made several mistakes in taking our orders that resulted in our meals having to be returned multiple times until they got the orders correct. We ordered a combination of sushi, sashimi and tempura. The sashimi was cut awkwardly - thicker than normal, and in small chunks as opposed to slices. The tempura was good - crisp, though a bit on the greasy side. Also, we were looking forward to the tempura entree, but only received the smaller tempura appetizer due to another service oversight. Having just moved to Sandy Springs, we wanted this to be our new "sushi place", but we will have to keep looking...

Celebrated my son's birthday here but there was zero acknowledgement from the staff- including the hibachi chef and server. The chef seemed in a rush to get out of there and barely put on a show. We went out of our way to go to Taki because we've enjoyed it many times before- but we spent over $400 and had our worst experience yet. Don't think we'll be back!

I have visited this restaurant several times, and always enjoyed the food. The wait staff is always courteous and very accommodating. The only issue I have is them adding gratuities in the bill, and not verbally letting the customer know this. I know it's the customer's responsibility to read the bill before signing it. However, when you are there with a group and celebrating an occasion, you tend to not pay that close attention to the charges on the bill. This happened to us on Saturday night. A group of six of us were there to celebrate my nephew's 17th birthday. When the bill came, we overlooked the fact gratuities were included, paid the bill with a credit card, and added another $60.00 in cash with for gratuities. So on an approximate $250.00 bill, the gratuities totaled approximate $110.00.

First time I go this year (we used to go a lot last year) and it is not what it used to be. People at the bar making a lot of noise (screaming) with lack of respect to other people who were there. Music seems like you were on a night club instead of a nice restaurant. We wanted to leave but we have already ordered. DEFINITELY NOT COMING BACK!!

I have visited this location on multiple occasions; however the last 2 times have been very disappointing. The most recent was this past Saturday 6/17/2017 for my son's birthday. First, we made a 7:00 reservation, arrived at 6:50, but did not get seated until nearly 7:30. No apologies for the late seating.

Our server was polite, but very slow on removing dishes (see below), refilling drinks, etc.. Our chef was VERY entertaining and the food was as expected. He did a great job of making it fun for my son's birthday - which was the only saving grace for this visit. However, my biggest complaint is the cleanliness of the restaurant. The floor was so greasy they had to put out "caution" signs - I literally slipped walking down the hallway to our table (it was if they mopped the floor with the grease from the hibachi tables). The seat I sat in was dirty and the floor under my seat still had food from the prior party. As the chef moved through the meal, all of our bowls/plates started to accumulate to the point that I grabbed several from my family and moved them to the side of the table (as I was sitting on the end of the table). When the table next to us turned over, the new chef arrived. He apparently needed an extra bowl so actually grabbed one (that had been used) from in front of my wife and put it in his stack and served rice to one of the other guests out of that bowl before we could say anything. Not that it was intentional, but still incredibly gross.

Overall, will be finding a new spot for hibachi which is a shame as this "used" to be our favorite.

Brought a group of refugee teens here after we had just presented on a discussion panel that was pretty intense (all had survived war in their countries of origin). The outstanding food, kind service, and great humor of our chef immediately brightened everyone and it was a fun and very enjoyable experience from beginning to end.

Delicious food, fun and friendly hibachi chef. They had one of my favorite wines which was a plus! Serving/portion was generous which was nice, I've been to other hibachi places and the portions were small and I left hungry. Not this place! Lots of food! I had filet and shrimp combo with fried rice-delicious.

Over the past few years I’ve taken my family there on average about twice a month. The food quality and service has steadily declined. The restaurant management claims to be busy but they always have open tables almost like they have staffing problems. My kids love going to hibachi but we’ll need to find another place.
