Taki Japanese Sushi & Hibachi Restaurant
Taki has become one of my favorite Hibachi Restaurants. The food is amazing, the staff is good. I would Highly Recommend
Our first visit and overall nothing to brag about. We had hibachi. Shrimp sauce was more mayonnaise than anything else.
For the salad my waitress didn't even bother to ask what kind of dressing would I prefer.
As soon as I saw the wilted lettuce with the watery looking dressing I passed on it.
Our "chef" was not very entertaining instead he seemed to just be going thru the motions of his script. 😞.
I've had better on the plus side the food was somewhat decent.
When we arrived they didn’t have our reservation
Wonderful place with great food, the sushi was fresh and full of flavor. Only small complaint was the the sake i ordered was not in the proper glass and was not chilled enough to my liking.
I was looking forward to having a nice leisurely dinner with a friend on a Saturday night. We had reservations for 7pm and were seated right away. I ordered a drink and some sushi for an appetizer and asked them to bring it first and told the waiter that we were in no rush. He brought the drinks and we placed our order at that time. About 5 minutes later we received our soup and salad and roughly 3 minutes later our entree. At that point we hadn't even received the appetizer (which cost $13-$14) so I was not happy. We ate our meal and immediately was approached about the check. So we were seated at 7pm and done with dinner 45 minutes later, not even an hour to enjoy or experience a nice high end meal. My portion of the check came to $70 and I didn't have the time to savor it. The meal was delicious but the service was awful. I felt very cheated.
Disappointed. The place is OK but the rest of the clientele was pretty rough. We couldn’t tell that we were in Dunwoody, we felt like we were in Clayton county. Not going back
The Food is always Great!
However, they should clean or update the dining chairs at the Table.
Very nice staff and fast service
Food was good and fair for the price. However, the service and seating was questionable at best. The host was clearly more interested in speed and turn over, then hospitality. When showing us to the hibachi, the host walked off so quickly we lost sight of him. Additionally, we were sat at the hibachi in the middle of a 12 person birthday party, which we were not a part. The chairs were squeezed in so close together that all guests were elbow to elbow, making it difficult to eat.
I’ve been coming to Taki for about 9 years. The quality of the food has went downhill since the pandemic. I’ve been 3 times and it gets worser every time. No flavor whatsoever, smaller portions, and the service is just awful!
The second time I’ve made a reservation and both times had to wait thirty minutes to get seated. Waiter only checked on up once. Terrible service
Great food. Great service. Great time.
We were charged 18% gratuity for a party of 4. Our reservation was for 4. We were sat knowing that party of 2 was not with us. I would return but I'll be sure to pay attention to my bill.
Always delicious hibachi and rolls. Fast service too.
I had a small meal of California roll, fried rice and mackerel. For the price, the food was good. However, the prices on open table are not the real prices. It was almost double than what is on this app. There is also no happy hour special as stated here either. There were not many people eating at the time I went as there was no waiting time. Server Cindy was perfect.
Hibachi was cooked too high honestly, everyone’s food was some sort of burnt. He didn’t bring my shrimp, I had to wait for it while everyone was already eating. He also did not give me double veggie that I ordered after disbursing the rest of the veggies to the other table guests ignoring me as I mentioned I ordered double veggie. It was not a pleasurable experience at all, our chef did not even engage with us as he prepared our meal, I was very disappointed.
Good food, moredate noise more for family tables and kids around
Prices fair per quality and fresh food
Poor service, salty miso soup, unprofessional service. Would not return
The food was pretty good. My daughter felt they were heavy on the sauce for the noodles. Service was good and consistent. The restrooms had a smell and the vinylation could be improved. The Hibachi experience was minimal to nonexistent.
The customer service was horrible due to the waitress forgetting our meals several times. Recommending items that weren’t even available or on the menu. They ran out of sushi. They didn’t cook our food properly. They promised us free noodles and still charged.
We scheduled a reservation for the Hibachi experience for 5:15pm and we arrived about 15 minutes early. When we went to the hostess for our reservation she told us it would be an additional 145 minutes before we could be seated. We settled for a regular table which was sticky and was next to the waiters station. The waitress was very busy and we did not get our drinks until after the food arrived. The waitress also forgot several items but on a good note we were not charged for them. Overall the food was good but the service is what made my experience not so enjoyable.
Food was fantastic, overall a great experience. My only issue was that we had a reservation and when we arrived we were told regardless of reservation or not the wait would be approximately 20-25 minutes. The wait would have been fine if we did not have a reservation.
The food and drinks were both great! However, organization is definitely needed with the reservations. My family and I had a reservation for 4:30pm and weren’t seated until about 5:30pm.
I would also recommend some type of ventilation in the hibachi room.
Our meal was great and the hibachi cook was extremely nice! Much appreciated! I look forward to to the next time.
This was my second time dining here and both times I had to wait 30 minutes to be seated even though I made reservations. The waiter bring out the drinks late, my rice was burnt and I asked for a well done steak and the cook gave me medium well and told me next time saying something when he was reading everyone’s order out loud and was mumbling smart remarks and the whole table heard him. Me and my family will not be dining here ever again
This was my second time eating at Taki. The food was bland during this visit. I had the hibachi chicken, fried rice, and vegetables and a few appetizers.
Food was good. Hibachi was pretty boring our cook wasn’t very exciting or entertaining
Rice was stale. Cook didn’t do any of the expected tricks. Chairs felt sticky and dirty. Chairs really low and not kid friendly. Booster seats were uncomfortable. Won’t be back
It was a fantastic place to celebrate my son’s birthday. Great fun for all ages and the food was excellent. They do an extra special something for birthdays which always makes it special. Highly recommend.
Excellent food and ambiance.
Will need patience, under staffed. Jay the chef gave amazing service and character to the night. We had a large group they handled it very well.
Excellent dining experience. I recommend highly. Definitely will go again until I’ve tried everything on the menu.
They are Amazing! nice, quick, food is amazing
I loved this place! I will definitely be back! I had the chicken and steak hibachi which was amazing!
we took the kids out for dinner. We ate on the Hibachi side. the chef was fun and entertaining. the food was great.
Birthday and Mother’s Day - waited forever for appetizer. It didn’t come out until we were half done with meal. Asked for fruit and never got it. Chef was not very entertaining. No personality - all the other chefs seemed into it but he was not at all.
The hibachi was excellent... probably the best I’ve ever had! Although I had reservations, I did have to wait 10-15 minutes to be seated. That was no big deal. The server was great. The chef was not very personable but I blame that on my table mates (who I didn’t know) who were very rude and demanding to him when he first arrived. Other than less than desirable dinner table mates, the meal was excellent. Highly recommend!
yumsters in my tumsters. i loved the japanese chicken 😍😍😍
