The food was very tasty. The service was good, and the view was exceptional.
Fancy decorative foods n drinks.sitting in balcony was great with heater on above the head.
We went for dinner and everything we ordered was extremely tasteful : yellow tail sushi , spicy tuna on crispy rice , peppered ahi tuna , Chilean sea bass , Takami roll , 21st roll .
Ew stayed at the sushi bar and fully enjoyed the chefs preparing the food .
Everybody was very friendly and attentive . Great downtown view . We’ll be back .
Food was just okay for the price. Had better sushi in hole in the wall places. It's the view and the mojito are the reasons for my next visit if ever.
This is the second time my wife and I go there. First time we went for happy hour and the second time for dinner. The place is beautiful in the middle of downtown the outdoor is great you can see the entire high rise building. The Happy hour menu is not too sofiaticated but enough and great for the price. Extremely elegant and delicious cocktail drinks. Dinner was excellent. The Cod Fish to die for. We had also the steak which was good but we preferred the Cod Fish. We also ordered a plate of sashimi wich was very fresh and beautifully presented. In all was an excellent experience. I highly recommend it.
The fish at this restaurant is so fresh, and the halibut and salmon basically melted in my mouth! Definitely recommend as a "splurge" type of dinner.
The only downside have to wait 20 minutes before I was seated with reservations
Recently had a pre-concert dinner with friends at Takami and really enjoyed the delicious innovative food and cocktails in a very chic ambience with awesome DTLA views.
Service was a little slow
A very nice place, to be repeated
Food was good, but overly priced. Sushi rolls are small. Best thing about this restaurant is the view from 23rd floor.
Fantastic food, we had the special wagu beef-it was divine. We also had the peppered ahi tuna --it was a perfect bite. We also had the King crab, shrimp and sea bass Robata, it was absolutely fabulous. The crunchy shrimp role was sooo good. We had so much food, and it was all delicious. The drinks were very good and the service was exceptional. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Takami Sushi is always a great place to dine, lunch or dinner. Great views! Great service! Great food! I recommend the bento box. The chilean sea bass was crazy good.
Great service, great food. Good views of Los Angeles and surrounding buildings. We had fun.
Our 4 robatas were good, but not exceptional. Also, perhaps a bit small. We ordered an additional plate of Sushi to fill us up. The California Rolls we got were nothing out of the ordinary - tasted the same as in most sushi places
Strange decor in that that much advertised rooftop location, which I read as view, was covered halfway up the windows by opaque glass panes. The view over LA was partially hidden unless one stood up to look over the panes.
Service was very good. We loved the location and ambiance. Also, great to get a glass of wine under $15, at the bar during happy hour.
I enjoyed my time at Takami immensely. I took my date there for his birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It did get loud as the night went on but that’s to be expected. An awesome place!
Ryan was an exceptional server. Suggestions were amazing presentation down to the taste. Management came to our table and she was really nice. Everyone greeted Happy Birthday! View was so beautiful. Perfect evening! Thank you Takami!
It took a while before the server came to our table we had to get the manager to come over. Once we actually got the server to come to our table everything went very well. The food was amazing the on Beyonce great as always. The manager made up for the server and gave us an amazing desert at the end.
Great food and service
Outstanding ambiance, delicious food, excellent service and fabulous views!
Food is always good n the drinks are very well crafted. It was a little chilly on the patio though....
The food was spectacular. We arrived earlier than the rest of our party and they said they were unable to seat us until everyone was there. We sat at the bar and ordered some drinks and the lovely bartender, RC, gave us complimentary appetizers while we waited. He was chatty and pleasant and wonderful. We were seated in the more outside area and it was beautiful and scenic. The reason I gave it fewer stars was the service was choppy and painfully slow at times. Drinks, such as glasses of wine and beer, would take almost half an hour to get to us. Not exaggerating. Cocktails were an additional fifteen minutes. It was a busy Saturday so we'll give some slack but still unacceptable.
I want to have and raise my children in this restaurant- THAT is how good it is. Service is minimal and you have to wait a little here and there, but after a heavy makeout session with scallops, salmon, crab and a Sapporo LIGHT (I’m on a diet), it was all worth it. I would star on TLC’s “My 600 pound life” GLADLY and eat 400 pounds of food here every day. I love you Takami.
Just parking was a drag. Honestly just Uber their.
Been meaning to try this place and saw an awesome Groupon deal. While the Groupon said 15% service fee, they charged us for 25% which I didn’t agree with. All in all, our server was pretty good. Sushi was great but the Filet &Foie Gras was disappointing. The skyline view is another highlight of the restaurant.
Beer glass broke and I got covered. Restaurant handled it very well. Meal was great. Server forgot about me at the end. Waited over 15 minutes for bill then went to hostess desk to pay.
TAKAMI AND ROBATA was a great experience; staff very accommodating as to seating, fast and continual service...great food (only exception was pork...nothing special, not very good); inexpensive and easy valet parking
Will come again, bring friends
The server was excellent. The Takami edamame, creamy rock shrimp tempura and Chilean sea bass were excellent too. However, the portion size for the halibut is too small for the price and I was unpleasantly surprised that it was served cold. Finally, the view was excellent!
This is my favorite restaurant in the downtown area!! The food and service is amazing!!
Amazing place. The service was great and the sushi was fresh and tasty. Had a great time!
Ambiance conducive to leisurely dining and conversations without straining to overcome background noises.. Service attentive and varied choices on the menu from raw, to cooked to steamed/Robata style preparations. Penthouse Roll outstanding along with cucumber salad.
Great service
Delicious food. A little bit overpriced. Expected a better view from the terrace.
We have been there many time but this time the service wasn’t so impressive , we asked in advance for outdoor seating and we never had issues before . This time it was impossible for some reason . And they service was very slow .
First of all, I made a reservation and when we walked in, the hostess said a bunch of tables just cleared up and we should be seated shortly. Took like 15/20 min to seat us. We asked to sit inside because it was rainy/cold outside, and she told us that everything inside is full and told us outside has a view and heaters, we said okay. We ended up being seated inside and when her coworker was about to walk us to our table, the hostess told her, “if they ask for a table with a view, we don’t have any.” She said it in a rude way and made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. We are the customers, so don’t let us hear you say that. It was just rude and that plus the wait time at the beginning was quite annoying. Everything else was fine. Hire hostesses WITHOUT ATTITUDE.
The server was rushing us to order, spilled wine on me and didn’t refill after spilling. Then the manager took over and brought the electronic bill with wrong amount.
Excellent food.
The service was great and the place is awesome. Being on the 21st floor was a nice experience.
I will definitely come back.
Very nice, really good food, nice location 21 floors up.
A beautiful view of downtown LA from the 21st fl. Delicious food
A nice evening with coworkers and key clients of ours. Great food, awesome drinks and wonderful view. Takami is always a venue to remember.
